  1. I laughed so hard when I read this topic. And that was only the first post. Then I laughed again at your reply to the dog question. Dogs generally don't eat because they're feeling ill. Give the dog some charcoal biscuits and let it out. It wants out to go eat grass to help digest.
  2. Then you fail. On an epic scale.
  3. Weather can vary on a year-to-year basis aswell. Last year we had sun up until November, the year before that we had it up into December. Anyway, are you doing your bit to help slow down global warming? Are you walking/cycling instead of driving/getting driven? Do you turn off unnecessary lights? Do you use energy-saving bulbs? If everyone were to do all they could to slow global warming, we'd only need half of the power stations we already have. But there's people out there who don't really care, they see it that they aren't going to be around to reap the benefits of stopping global warming, so why should they help. Not to get all pessimistic, but you as a single person can do veeery little. The people who control the fate of global warming are the ones everyone is against: politicians. We hate them because they won't do anything, and they know if they did something on a large scale (Such as to simply stop factories until they became "green friendly") that the economy would come to a halt. If we want clean power, we're going to need to wait until it becomes feasible.
  4. This thread's gone downhill without me. :(
  5. Off-topic is used more because it has much vaster area. We can discuss games, current events, opinions and more. Varrock Library only allows for posting work you've written and then any criticisms/comments on them.
  6. I'm glad you told me that, now I might be able to sleep sound, knowing that you don't care.
  7. Isn't that just the American accent? :? I've always pronounced it that way. I don't see how you could really pronounce it wrong? :? I've always said it. .. Neh-var-der[/b] but theres no 'R' in nevada... Accent.
  8. Heh... Nobody else has ^_^.
  9. Why do you think they first built them? To tempt terrorism? Just because they wanted to? It was to conserve space. Building lots of little buildings is fine, but you're going to use up much, much more space than a single skyscraper. But I don't think this building would be feasible. How do you plan to finish building the top? There aren't any cranes that could reach that high and I doubt anyone would want to (and I doubt they could) carry girders, cement, bricks etc up to the top.
  10. Do you know why adverts for products generally stretch the truth or make it look better than it perhaps is? It's to catch people's attention. If you're atleast going to "advertise" get something eye catching.
  11. WHOA CLIP ARTS, BLACK BACKGROUNDS AND SOME RED TEXT!!!111?!?!?! STEADY ON THERE MR DANGEROUS!!!11
  12. NO U. But the axe looks really thin when you look at it in the top-left picture. It would probably snap if used.
  13. I'm confused as to what it is or what it's meant to be. But, i'll advise as best I can. [*:2fwx5u0e]Could do with a bit more contrast, it looks pretty flat right now. ~+5 brightness, +~20 contrast. [*:2fwx5u0e]Colours seem... a slight bit random. You're going from some grungy greens to a quick OMGLIGHTBLUE. Perhaps a little bit of smudging? [*:2fwx5u0e]No text ... ? [*:2fwx5u0e]No border. 1px black/cinematic would look good. Why do people hate jpegs? They're perfectly fine for abstracts. As I said before, I can't really tell what it is or what you want it to be, so I can't really advise too much.
  14. It is a free program at their expense.
  15. Thin axe is thiiin. D=
  16. This is the type of profound replies I was looking for. Go grab yourself a nice big slice of internets.
  17. When you look at a topic, do you reply because you want to voice your opinion? Or do you perhaps look who created the topic to see if the topic itself will be well laid out or correctly presented? For myself, i'm a bit of both. If I see a name that I know is intelligent, i'll diligently read the original post. Alternatively if the topic interests me but I know the poster is a moron, I merely skim it and/or interpret it how I see it. Call me prejudice, but if someone is going to make a topic on a subject with little to no knowledge, it's not a fantastic start, is it?
  18. Great advice. Now gb2/preschool.
  19. Hmmmk. [*:4bfrmifc]Background. Up the contrast. Using a brightness and contrast layer, put +~5 brightness, +~20 contrast. Fractals. I don't particularly like them. They're pretty easy, generally can't go wrong but don't get any better. Get some proper brushes. Flat colours are flaaaat. Don't use hue and saturation, use a clouds/gradient layer on overlay. It gives a variation of colour then. [*:4bfrmifc]Text. Font choice... Problem is, that the font matches your render, but conflicts with the background. Try not to overuse outer glow. If you plan to use it, only use it on a low opacity (20~40). When you do your name, don't use an underscore ( _ ), just use a space. Generally, not always, but generally you should only use black or white text. Generally. Which should also have it's opposite as the stroke. If you're going to centre text, make sure it's centered. Use free-transform (CTRL+T) to make sure it's perfectly centered. [*:4bfrmifc]Render. If you're going to use one, atleast blend it. Make sure the render you use is atleast going to match the background. Having a curly, wavey background with whatever anime character that is looking rather evil doesn't particularly look right. Fractals can be brushed. They don't look any better either way though.
  20. That's a lie and you know it.
  21. I guess I don't notice the overpopulation as much, I live in a small village and I go to school. But I guess if I happen to work in a bigger city, i.e. Bristol, i'd probably notice it more. It's a nice place to live, no doubt, but we're just too giving. We let almost anyone in and give them benefits.
  22. Do you realise how ironic the situation is with that quote in your signature, andufus?
  23. But not to the centre for atleast another 30. GO CONGESTION!
  24. Check the settings, you may have set the strength to 0%. Alternatively, check you are on a layer which can be smudged.
  25. Well if you're going to be based here, you shouldn't worry too much. But if you are being based elsewhere... depends where though.
