The decision represents an abrupt shift of strategy for the industry, which has opened legal proceedings against about 35,000 people since 2003. Critics say the legal offensive ultimately did little to stem the tide of illegally downloaded music. And it created a public-relations disaster for the industry, whose lawsuits targeted, among others, several single mothers, a dead person and a 13-year-old girl. Instead, the Recording Industry Association of America said it plans to try an approach that relies on the cooperation of Internet service providers. The trade group said it has hashed out preliminary agreements with major ISPs under which it will send an e-mail to the provider when it finds a provider's customers making music available online for others to take. Depending on the agreement, the ISP will either forward the note to customers, or alert customers that they appear to be uploading music illegally, and ask them to stop. If the customers continue the file-sharing, they will get one or two more e-mails, perhaps accompanied by slower service from the provider. I can't believe we lost to Tech... Anyways, about the whole Texas-Oklahoma thing, I think the BCS got it right. Head to head should be thrown out the window when Texas Tech is tied with both teams and owns the head to head against Texas. Oklahoma has been dominating since that UT loss(a game closer than the score shows.)

I turn 18 in a half a year, and I know I'll go buy a black and mild or swisher sweet with a lotto ticket, but that's about it. Looking forward to games of online poker and clubbing next summer though.

Well, I just rented it and beat it(didn't get to level up too much or do too many side quests). Good game, but I felt it was slightly overrated. Maybe it was because I rushed it, but I'm glad I didn't purchase this one.

Yeah, freshmen are required to live in dorms. The negatives I've seen are sometimes you're viewed as a d-bag or a guy who has to buy friends and party invitations. Also, I've know a few guys who rushed this year at UGA and had to go through pretty awful hazing. But hazing shouldn't keep me from it, as thousands of people have lived through it.

I would like to attend a game there, I spent the night there while traveling to North Carolina last year and walked by the stadium. And Georgia and Clemson need to start playing each other again.

So I have just a little over half a year of high school left before I head off to the University of Georgia, and something I'm completely on the fence about is whether or not I should rush. The Greek percentage is something like 23% at UGA, so it's not necessarily a "Greek or geek" campus. I'm a little worried about leaving all my high school friends to be thrown out into 32,000 other students and making friends, but other people have made it and I'm sure I could to. Anyone have pros/cons of joining a frat, and hopefully some stories about it?

I'm slacking big time my senior year, but I've held a 3.98 my first 3 years which should me get into any college I really want to apply.

I love rivalry week because all the interesting games are on, but it means it's the second to last week of the regular season, which sucks.

I ran CC on a whim for my school, but I haven't run since the season's conclusion and am out of shape. I'm trying to decide if I want to just try a 3 mile run to see if I could make it without walking. My personal best, while not too impressive, was a 23:22 for a 5k.

I think USC is up there with Texas/Oklahoma easily, but to be fair, they likely won't win their conference, and if that's the case, they shouldn't make it. I'd have more sympathy if Georgia wasn't snubbed last year because of not winning the SEC. Also, if OKST somehow beats OU, and Texas Tech wins the Big XII, I don't know how this is gonna work out. And Florida and Alabama better watch out, I wouldn't be shocked if FSU or Auburn pulled the upset in huge rivalry games. If one of them somehow loses, and beats the other in the SECCG, it will shake things up even more. I'm ready for some drama. \
