Why Would People Train?
Honestly, the enjoyment lasts for about 10 minutes. For me it turned into a goal of all 60's. Great, got that done. Next day I had a goal of all 70's. What you don't have seems better than it really is. It keeps you playing, but eventually it will get old. I think it gets boring for everyone when they're goals consist of "I want 1700 total, I want 2000 total, I want all 80+, etc." It's not the goals themselves that are fun, it's what you plan on doing once you get there. I think that when people play Runescape with just goals and no direction, they get tired real quick. Still works the same..at least for me. 94 mage entertained me about two days and I was back doing something else. Now it could have been the pain in seeing 2.4k disappear with every spell, but still. :P

True, it used to be great, but a share of 5.3M isn't worth all the money you'll spend on sharks and prayer pots.

no more ents = no more broken axes?
Jagex does not want more rares. Even if they overlook it at first, I guarantee there will be no broken axes the day after the update or they will be untradable.

DKs
The best thing you could do is get a partner about your stats and duo mage Rex. Get another friend to agree to tag alone for a couple and minutes and he can "suicide" Basically you go in the bottom right corner where you can mage Rex and he distracts the other two. I'd recommed Guthans as you can heal on the the side guys between rex kills. Use full guthans and slayer dart. Your range level is suitable to range/melee duo with a small group...however I would start by maging.

So how can a level 104 make money now?
Are my levels fine for God Wars and is it fairly easy to learn?

So how can a level 104 make money now?
Before you come in here thinking I'm a huge noob, I'd like to inform you I haven't played RS in about 15 months. I'm trying to decide if I want to give RS another chance. So many things have changed since I was a player, it seems all my money making methods have been destroyed. My methods when I took a break(October 2007) were: 1) RC natures via the abyss. I could get like 400k an hour doing this. Nats have dropped and ess has risen due to the anti-pk'ing update. 2) DK/KQ. I made close to 20m in a couple of months by killing these creatures. It was excellent money. However, I was going through the GE thing on the site today and I am shocked on how the rewards have dropped. 3) Barrows. Same as above. I was shocked to see how my complete barrows collection(all 6 sets) have decreased in value. 4) Merchanting. Pretty much dead with the removal of unbalanced trade. I could pull in over a million on a good hour merchanting yews. Now here are my stats. Thanks

5.1M : Wow, that's terrible. Me and a friend got one just before I quit and my share(half) was like 7.3M

Why Would People Train?
I'm surprised this thread is being made about someone being 81 haha. In my RS days, I got up to 83 without seriously "grinding." I ground up to like all 70's so I could use all the equipment but the rest was just slayer and casual training. And to answer the question on how to afk train, there is a spot in the desert with fairly week enemies who auto attack you. You're probably too weak at your level, but it can be done where you watch a TV show for an hour and only click to occasionally heal. But yeah, grinding gets old.

RS Died one year ago today
I do agree with you, but to be fair, I haven't tried RS since the update. I haven't been a member in about 15 months now and once I logged on TIF on the day "RS died" I felt no urge to play again. I had four things I really enjoyed in RS. 1) Monster hunting with groups- (I guess it's been fixed, but my old favorites(DK and KQ) have been overtaken by the GWD I was too lazy to learn. 2) RC pk'ing- Call me a noob, jerk, whatever, but I wanted to add the risk to RC'ing and get some free glories. Out of the game now. 3) Edge pk'ing- Just straight up 1v1 rune battles. Pretty much taken out, the new system seems like crap 4) Rc'ing nats- The profit seems to be cut in half and the abyss seems boring without seercul'ing pk'ers. I haven't given RS a chance because I fear I might get addicted like I was two years ago. But from a veteran's perspective, RS seems to have lost it's fun.

The wilderness : Wtf happened?
I'd redo my membership tomorrow if the old wild came back. I had always told myself that before I called it quits for good, I would buy all the PK supplies I could and just burn my back. I took a break the month before and when I came back I realized it was all over. 30m+ bank I was going to have a blast with is pretty much useless.

Wilderness Agility- Setup
I remember one day getting full Karils and attacking agility trainers. Running from the mage bank group was not fun though.

Can any help with Herblore?
Hopefully my advice isn't too outdated. I'd personally get a nice supply of ranarr seeds, vials, and snape grass. While you are getting your other skills to 60, hit up the farming patches every chance you get. Do it when you first log on RS in the day, right before you get off for the day, and any other time you might be playing(as long as it's been 90ish minutes). It sounds slow, but you'll build a nice stash of ranarrs fast and you'll gain plenty of profit and herb xp. If you're still short of your goal, just buy it the rest of the way with your profit.

There's no way you could solo it with those stats. You could go with a partner, but I'd try to get somebody a little higher than you. I had about 80/80/80 and my friend had similar stats as you and we cut it close fairly often. Just out of curiosity, how much are chains now?

-Your early days of runescape-
I thought I was brilliant because of my brilliant money making scheme. I would start in Varrock, mine half a load of copper and half a load of tin, run to Lumbridge and smelt it, run to Varrock and make the best bronze armor I could, and then sell what I made to the general store. Pocketed about 700 gp a trip. First days as a member were great too. I became one at level 23 and was fascinated on the high levels roaming around. I didn't see a single player around my level until the second day. The player I found walked me through crafting training(up to 10) and walked me to Seer's Village from Barbarian Village to teach me the art of bow strings. I couldn't believe how fast the money came, I had a million in a couple of days.

db's blog to 85 slayer 74/85
Good luck, I've been trying to get to 70 wc on f2p while I decide to come back to RS or not, and it's definitely not one of the more fun skills. Or maybe it's just fighting 8 other people for 3 willow trees on a f2p world. :P

Live Concerts
I haven't been to too many gigs. I saw the Avenged Sevenfold/Buckcherry show that featured Shinedown and Saving Abel(why Avenged Sevenfold toured with Buckcherry I'll never know). I also saw Sky Eats Airplane and Senses Fail a few months ago. My friend could get backstage passes to Slipknot/Coheed and Cambria, but it's 3 hours away on a school night, so I doubt we will convince our parents lol. Also, Disturbed is playing 2 hours away, I just need a friend to go with. None of my friends like them too much.

Rock Band II
We need to get a band together sometime. I need some achievements and all my friends are awful at this game. I'm mainly talking about the one million and 90 second overdrive one.

How Much is Your Account Worth to You?
I've quit, but I still doubt I'd sell it really low. I put way too much time into it. I'd take $200 or more though and not look back.

Wine and alchohol discussion
I'm not a big wine drinker. It's all right, but it's overpriced. Beer tastes good to me, but since I usually just drink to get drunk, it sucks because I can never get past a buzz due to me being so full. I like about every liquor though. Rum and coke has to be my favorite drink.

NFL Super Bowl-Post who you think will make it and or win..
I'm pumped the Falcons made it. Although I think the Titans will wind up winning the whole thing.

RIAA done with lawsuits.
They're only going after the uploaders apparently, not the downloaders. That is mitigated by the fact that pirates will upload music outside of the US, so frankly, they've lost. They're against the wall, and they're officially losing this fight. Agreed, seems as if it could be extremely flawed. Also, are all ISPs agreeing to this? Seems to me that if one or a few ISPs refuses to comply they may see an increase in customers :P I doubt they've struck a deal with the smaller ISPs(my ISP probably has 10,000 customers). I see them doing this with Comcast and the other big ones though.
