  1. China is supposed to have mandatory English, isn't it?
  2. My rune pickaxe. It has been with me for many a trip to level 47 wilderness to mine rune. It was with me when I first got 85 mining. It was with me even before I got level 41 mining, when I bought it with hard-earned money from chicken feathers. It is my greatest frie- Err, wait, I'm taking this a little too far aren't I ^_^
  3. To ArtificiallyDoomFlavor - To believe oneself the harbinger of destruction although his or her ability does not exceed that of the average toy poodle
  4. I know such a method, and have been afraid to share it for this very reason.
  5. No, the cow pen is accessible next to it.
  6. Thank you all very much. This will help me greatly with training.
  7. I can't seem to find a topic on this, so I suppose I'll ask here: What must I do to stop monsters in training areas from being aggressive, aside from being twice their level? I find that most monsters stop being aggressive after a certain period of time, but I do not know for sure how long that time is and if there are any other factors that come into play. So, can someone help clear this up for me? Thanks.
  8. On my new account, I just met a very nice lad from Colombia who speaks very little English and fluent Spanish. I was fishing with him near Draynor when Evil Bob comes along and teleports him away. It occurred to me just then how difficult some random events could be for non-english speakers. I had to explain to him what to do- thankfully, he understood my english directions- but what if he hadn't? He'd probably be stuck there forever, as my Spanish is not very good. Do you think JaGeX should establish language options?
  9. Coal, next to runecrafting or high-level mining/smithing, is probably the fastest way to make money through labor in f2p. I'm going to take this opportunity to ask the more seasoned players here what I should merchant on an f2p account.
  10. ...Really don't know what the point of this is.
  11. Virtually all of the PKing population I have dealt with, male or female, are still nasty to the core. The females I have seen on RS (who are indeed females) are for the most part certainly extremely nice (and it's not because they are attention [bleep]). I did meet this very snappy and arrogant nine-year-old girl, though, who really put me through the ringer...
  12. I would have protected anyone I could, as I had already planned to do in the wilderness once I had the ability to fight those who attack and kill innocent visitors to the wilderness. But since I could never even so much as see such a spectacle, being f2p, I guess it doesn't matter.
  13. A long, long time ago, a very nice person by the name of Skystone gave me an uncut sapphire after I had been scammed out of one by a rather nasty person offering "Free gem cutting." I added her to my friends list, and she disappeared for over a year. When she came back, she was a player moderator. I gave her 100k (which, at the time she had helped me, had been a huge amount to me) for the kindness she had shown toward me so long ago. Kindness may not pay off for you in quite the same way, but everyone should have a go at it sometime.
  14. Depends. I can usually find desperate people in free-to-play who sells anywhere from 1-150 nature runes for 200each. Standard in pay-to-play is 300 to 350 gp each.
  15. A tenth, perhaps more, of our population is probably autoers anyway
  16. A friend recently added me back to her new friends list, having not been on in a while. She also recently became a player moderator. I have discussed this problem with her, and she tried to reassure me that JaGeX is currently various programs and other mesures for detecting and banning bots. I know from experience that the measures they have taken thus far have been largely ineffective and that the future measures will probably be no different. I will see if I can offer a number of various proposed solutions from this topic, although I am not sure if she will discuss them with other moderators or JaGeX staff or even think about them. I've brought up a number of concerns that people on this forum have voiced- rune prices, the effects of this change on players with large rune essence piles, the inability to stop macroers- etc. I have also told her many things about how easily attainable and operable these scripts are. In essence (forgive the pun), I've been attempting to put the ineffectiveness of the current "solution" to this problem into perspective for her. I plan to discuss the various solutions with her, and hopefully get the message out to some extent that the kinds of changes JaGeX is making, while in good intent and with commendable effort, are not going in the right direction. I'm currently in highest support of random exits and monsters in the essence mines- Is there anything anyone else wishes me to mention? If so, please post a reply to this message.
  17. This was a terribly stupid move. With the increase in price of the essence required to make them, death, chaos, law, and nature runes will make further increases in price (mage training arena, as you might know, caused a recent rise in demand). While this means excellent news for rune merchants, it also means drawbacks for alchemists and potential mages. I propose giving free accounts who become members the ability to convert normal essence into pure essence upon reaching a certain mining or runecrafting level.
