  1. I don't know about that, considering the extreme lack of physical activity from such jobs. On the other hand- He probably may, as you said, be getting free room and board. So do servants.
  2. I took it down as we spoke. I was in Rimmington, trying to kill macroers, when this one that I thought was a macroer gathers my logs and says "hi" as he passes. I figured he was a little different from the macroers around the tree- he was level 18, for one thing, and he spoke, for another- so I wanted to get inside the mind of a macroer or goldfarmer. From what he told me, he seemed well aware that the players surrounding him were macroers, although he was not. I had a real aversion to goldfarmers before I met him.
  3. Not trying to justify it- I'm just putting it into perspective. Even fifty cents a day sounds better than ten for making small plastic toys.
  4. The following is an in-game conversation between me and a Chinese player who works among macroers in both the game and the real world. He/she sells RuneScape money he receives from cutting yews for real currency. In the conversation, he or she will only be referred to as ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅRH.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  5. Let's summon the Order and do a massive cabbage bomb too!
  6. An autobuyer is a typical macroer that spends its days doing nothing but buying goods from stores that its master will be able to resell for substantial profits. In free worlds, these can often be found in rune and arrow stores, especially in Rimmington and Port Sarim. Autobuyers, once they trade with the shop proprietor, will not receive any random events. This means that they can stay logged in and buying merchandies perpetually until banned, but their transactions with the owners will probably occur long before then. So what does this mean for us? It means less money for rising merchants, it means very few cheap runes for rising mages, and it means oodles of cash lining the pockets of macroing greedmongers. So, autobuyers SHOULD BE STOPPED FOR ALL THAT IS GOOD AND PROPER IN THE EYES OF THE ALMIGHTY SARADOMIN (May his pixels be blessed). I propose that all players who are buying items and are to receive an event be subjected only to random events that instantly teleport them to other locations to complete certain tasks, as other random events that do not immediately teleport have obviously failed to stop them even briefly. The events that should be administered include: - The Maze - The Mime Theater - The Pinball Game - Molly's Sister - Evil Bob's Island - Evil Bob's Prison Why? First, they stop the player from buying for a brief period of time. Second, it resets the aggressive zones for the player, meaning that a macroer who has an enemy lured to them can be destroyed once it teleports back  Third, it may very well interrupt some scripts, which will throw the less savvy macroing programmers for a loop (no pun inteded). This wouldn't be hard to implement, I'm sure. We'd be putting money back into the hands of players instead of into a macroer's pockets. Good idea? Bad idea? Pickle? What's your take on this?
  7. I wish there were white armor with blue trim instead- would've looked a lot more Arwing-ish :(
  8. I had too much time on my hands today. Would've been my sig if not for the size limit.
  9. Storm Zephyr- currently training to be a range mage melee hybrid
  10. at the beggining it was called 'coldfeet'. People were entering the letters for other people, so that other people would enter the letters for them. Basically, CAPTCHA is useless. UNLESS we have mods that go around inspecting and they can call this screen for a man that seems autoing and take some action if needed. This would result a massive first few weeks ban and would need some real work to get around Problem: On occasion these macroers are manned by real people who only come on to intervene with the activities if something is in their bot's way. This means that captchas are useless, even if enforced with moderators.
  11. I walked into the level six wilderness, where I was utterly slaughtered by dark wizards. The sound of earth strike (back then, it was much longer and louder) scared the living HELL out of me.
  12. 'Cause it's fun, provided I'm not doing some mundane, repetitive task.
  13. Dark and Harmony, although both were ruined by the audio update. Please tweak the instruments some, Jagex :(
  14. Some instruments simply do not sound proper- the clarinet, for example, sounds positively terrible during an interlude in Varrock's theme. Several of the other instruments either sound very tinny or akin to a car horn. "Harmony" - one of the few tracks I truly liked- was thoroughly ruined by the update. Despite this, many songs turned out wonderfully through the update- Try "Flute Salad" or "Background." It's a start- a step past MIDI- but it still needs tweaking.
  15. First 1k- sold chicken feathers First 100k - sold coal First 1M - crafted and sold 68k air runes
  16. I just wish I could add V's hat :(
  17. I had the same experience. It's like a hive of them. I log out and in just so I can report them all. What I wouldn't give to b a p-mod or j-mod devoted solely to banning these scumbags.
  18. What I don't understand is why people want to argue against this. Certainly, by supporting the cause you'd do us a huge favor, and should it be any skin off of your or JaGeX's nose for helping out? I think not.
  19. As I walk to the wilderness, a female scaper is beset by a ranger. Random n00b: "Hey ur hott" Five seconds pass. Random n00b: "Range lvl"
  20. A competent pure should also be a competent merchant and not NEED to drop trade.
  21. My level 3 noob has ones in all skills, 10 hp. Started with 27 cowhides. Sold. Bought ess at 20ea in f2p, sold, bought 20-30, sold 35. Lather, rinse, repeat; then moved onto coal at 175k.
  22. Again, anchovy pizza is best for healing BETWEEN battles. So I'd bring maybe four to eight (probably four), and the rest of my invent would be swordies.
