At the moment most of the clients out there (including ss) are still against the rules and NOT ok to use - as they are still endangering users or encouraging rule breaking in some way. However, we've now improved the rules so if the authors fix their client to be safe, they will not be against the rules after they have done that. Some of the authors have already indicated they will be doing so over the weekend. Of course, we still maintain it's an awful lot safer just to play right here at runescape.com - also we're still planning on adding our own group chat features directly into the game. We do not endorse or recommend ANY third party RuneScape programs. ---- He edited post.

To clarify, we do not endorse ANY third party programs, all we are saying is that you will not be punished for using a program that complies with ALL of the rules. What Mod Luke posted on offical forums, I think ss is ok with the rules.
