  1. Assuming a modest 1M xp per day, he'd be at around 2,15B xp, just below Drumgun and good enough for rank 5. Assume a "Skiller-type" pace and you have him at 3,06B xp, good enough for rank 1.
  2. It has nothing to do with statistics... he only wants active players to encourage their friends to sign up and create a buzz over this. He's playing you because he knows what you guys want. He's got a nice carrot on a stick and you are playing a bunch of donkeys. Come on guys! You created a bunch of scripts to cheat on a rigged poll... you can do this on a legit vote also!
  3. I'm more dissapointed in Jagex inability to deal with macroers than by their dubious poll/vote. I understand that from an economic standpoint, creating a vibe and making lots of players come back, re-introducing free-trade is a good idea. I don't care too much about clues in the wild, I did them before and I did them with revs. I would just need to avoid the wild for the first month before all the pkers get together in the same world to fight each other. What I don't like is the fact I stood behind Jagex when these change were implemented and they convinced me it was for the good of the game. For them to admit defeat today is a slap to the face to those who stood for them. I don't believe you anymore Jagex. You don't have ways to detect botters, you don't punish them hard enough when you do catch some and you're not fooling us by pretending otherwise.
  4. Sure he could and that's a possibility. The probability are against him though. He's halfway to where Skiller is right now and he would have to outpace players like Telmomarques, Elvis, Elias and Suomi who have between 600M-850M XP lead on him and train at a 3-4M xp per day. That would mean it would take at least a year at the fastest pace (4M xp per day) to just reach Skiller. As much as I like Zezima, his time is passed...although I would love to be proven wrong!
  5. It's not because Jagex doesn't enforce their rules that the issue (botting) cannot be debated. I understand that if this thread has only been created to discuss that botting is still rampant in the game... then yes there's no point in discussing this further as there are plenty of evidence to show that RS is still filled with botters.
  6. Frontpage is a possibility, but rank 1 is way out of reach. He'd also need 37 dungeon lvls before getting there. His time is over, but he deserves his status of legend for all the years spent at rank 1.
  7. These guys are passing each other lately and Kingduffy has claimed back his rank 12. Telmomarques has officially reached 100M str for his 9th skill over 100M.
  8. @ Xensure What I heard is that he's gonna do prayer once he gets 50M slayer, then herblore at 100M slayer. After this he should be at 10 skills maxed out at 200M (including STR), challenging Drumgun for most skills at 200M. I wonder how long it would take him to catch up to Jdelacroix and Skiller. If they all keep the same paces, 4 months to grab rank 1 overall once again and 7 months to grab rank 1 XP-wise. @ Johannas Yep Zarfot is mostly inactive.
  9. Telmomarques has reached 2,1B xp with 100M str (9th skill over 100M) coming close unless he's decided to go all out on herblore. Elvis should reach 100M attack (7th skill over 100M) later today or tomorrow.
  10. Yeah at some point Gertjaars had around 300M on Aasiwat in 2009. Zezima once had 150-200M on Uloveme if I recall correctly.
  11. @ Caver Of all the players that ended up being rank 1 overall in the last 5 years, only 3 have also held rank 1 for XP at the same time : Zezima, N0valyfe and Gertjaars. Kingduffy came close but lost the race to Gertjaars even though his goal at the time was to have the most skills ranked under 100. edit : scratch that, Kingduffy never came close. @ Aasiwat I like you better under the radar with a 100M lead over an inactive player and 500M xp potential in fast skills such as prayer, herblore and dungeoneering. Food for thought to anyone watching the XP ranks these days.
  12. Anyone with actual rates? Not that I don't trust your word pulli.
  13. Hello guys and girls. Just wondering if the introduction of the dragon defender has changed the optimal set-up to use when killing waterfiends. I know the ranks of best set-up prior to the release was something like : Chaotic Maul > SS > Z Spear > Chaotic Rapier with def > whip with def... Here are my questions, keeping in mind dragon defender is used when training with a 1 handed weapon: What's the new best set-up starting from best to worst, including 1 handed and 2 handed weapons. What are the expected XP rates from each set-up.
  14. Suomi is about to pass Kingduffy for rank 12 and will enter the top 10 shortly when he passes Lan and Erw J, both inactive. Finallyontop (Jdelacroix) is actively training thieving and could reach 200M before Drumgun gets his 9th skill at 200M, getting a tie with him at 8 skills.
  15. Update of the top 15 1. Skiller (previously Aasiwat) : 2,43B xp. Not much new this week. Still training magic and farming, he's gonna become the first player to reach 11 and 12 skills over 100M shortly. Coming milestones: 100M ranged, 100M magic and 100M farming 2. Zarfot 2,35B xp. Inactive. 3. Finallyontop (previously Jdealcroix) : 2,29Bxp. I called it a couple weeks ago, Jd maxed out and reached rank 1 overall. Last week he trained dungeon and thieving, reached 100M dungeon for his 10th skill over 100M to join Skiller and Drumgun for most skills over 100M. He will stay at rank 1 overall for a couple months. Coming milestones : 100M xp ranged, 2,3B xp and 100M HP 4. Drumgun : 2,18B xp. He's still training WC and is on pace to get his 9th skill at 200M by late march. It's obviously a race if any player that sits at 7 skills wants to tie him before he gets it. Coming milestones : 2,2B xp 5. telmomarques : 2.09B xp. Still training slayer, Telmo has caught up once again with Elvis to grab rank 5. Elvis and him are about 8 weeks away from catching up to Drumgun. Coming milestones : 100M str and 2,1B xp 6. Elvis : 2,09B xp. A slower week for Elvis where he reached 200M dungeon for his 5th skill, trained some slayer and a lot of crafting and saw Telmomarques grabing rank 5 from him. Coming milestones : 100M WC, 100M HP, 100M attack and 2,1B xp 7. Gertjaars : 2,02B xp. Still inactive. 8. Elias : 1,93B xp. He slowed down a bit last week while still training crafting. He should reach 200M crafting in the early days of 2011 or just before. Coming milestones : 200M crafting 9. Lan : 1,87B xp. Trained a bit of dungeon last week . 10. Erw J : 1,85 xp. Inactive. 11. Paperbag : 1,85B xp. Still farming, Paperbag will be more fun to track once he starts training his next 200M. Coming milestones : nothing in sight 12. Kingduffy : 1,82B xp. A very slow week for Kingduffy training mostly WC and farming. He will lose a rank to Suomi next week probably. Coming milestones : 100M WC 13. S U O M I : 1,81B xp. He reached 200M magic last week for his 7th skill at 200M. He's also trained WC/FM, farming, carfting and RC. Rumor has it he's getting all skills ready to use all effigy stages before moving on to slayer (a wise decision). Coming milestones : 100M WC 14. Tezz : 1,78B xp. Tezz is without a dout the biggest gainer of the top 15 last week with 55M xp. Still training slayer, he's also opened up a bunch of effigies for major gains all around. There's no question Tezz is in the top 15 to stay. Coming milestones : 200M HP 15. Green098 : 1,71B xp. Still training ranged and prayer, she's also gaining XP in effigy skills lately. Until she catches up to the inactives, she's teh weakest link of the top 15, but she still has a nice lead over the players under rank 15. Coming milestones : 100M ranged
  16. Elvis is training slayer these days and he could reach Zarfot for most skills over 50M pretty soon. Zarfot has 19 skills over 50M and Elvis is currently at 15 with slayer, magic and summoning less than 10M away from 50M. Skiller is at 16 skills over 50M with 4 skills at 40M-49M xp but he shows no signs of training those anytime soon. Kingduffy is at 15 skills over 50M currently but not training as much as the other top players.
  17. I can pretty much garantee someone will vote or has voted using your name for this. You know the great community we've been hearing about for the last 3 years that was so great prior to the removal of trade limits? It's back in force and it has no use for morality or ethics!
  18. I would be shocked if botters used script to help their cause! Not talking about in game botters, I'm talking people who know how to code and want to put their coding skills to good use. Sorry if this went over your head. This was a joke. Putting their coding skills to good use is a matter of point of view.
  19. I would be shocked if botters used script to help their cause!
  20. Anyone saying botting decreased is a fool. The ONLY difference with bots is they are 100+ instead of 3-5. And LOL if you think RWT decreased in the slightest I really find it amazing that a nearly maxed player can be so naive. And I find it very odd that you read in my post that I said botting decreased or that I said RWT decreased... I just said I was backing up Jagex in their efforts and they let me down. I thought you were more intelligent than that...
  21. Anyone saying this has no idea what a botter's paradise looks like. Bots aren't dead in Runescape, they're stronger than ever. I can't even find a world without 3-4 Sorceress's Garden bots, I usually find at least 6 or 7 (not counting PvP or foreign worlds, haven't checked those). Recently I've been working on 80 Mining for Stealing Creation, and the concentrated coal and gold deposits are packed with bots too. Then you have the usual green dragon and pure essence bots, and the handful of bots simply training skills (I know a friend of mine likes pranking Firemaking bots). RWT, too, is still prevalent. The trade limits might make RWT more difficult, but it also makes RWT more important to a lot of players - a lot of players simply don't want to deal with the hassle of street prices, but want new items soon after they come out. If they don't hit the jackpot, their last resort is RWT. There are plenty of RS communities that don't frown on cheating quite as much, and in those communities, RWT is still a raging wildfire. Also, what RS looks like now, and what naysayers think RS will look like if free trade is returned to a limited extent, is nothing compared to other games that actually are paradise for botters. One of my favorite computer games of all time, Diablo II, has bots that are capable of taking down the hardest bosses more easily than most real players. The standard way to grind your character's level is to latch onto a "Hammerdin" bot and watch him single handedly destroy the final storymode boss and all the minions that are scaled to 8-person difficulty, and share a portion of the xp. The final remaining big community is on a website originally dedicated to distribution of bots, and a typical trade thread usually resembles "Selling out my bots finds from last night:" followed by a list of goodies twice as long as any legitimate player can hope to find in a week. At what percentage of active players botting do you consider a game a botter's paradise? When the creators of the game don't bother enforcing their rules and openly admit we will have to deal with botters, gold farmers and cheaters they are in fact legitimising cheating. I must admit I don't play other games (MMO) outside of this one, so I can't compare much. But if the community at large don't care that their community is filled with botters and the creators of the game don't care either because these botters are paying for membership, why bother showing a highscore? I'm thinking I should join the 10-15% of players that bots seeing as there are no real punishment and Jagex are implying they won't try too hard to enforce their rules.
  22. Just by making this bogus vote, they have declared that they lost the war on bots and RWT. From this point on, I fully expect RS to be considered from outsiders to be a botter's paradise. I've been backing up Jagex for the last 3 years saying how they were right for fighting RWTers, gold farmers and botters at large only to have them admit defeat... I am really disapointed in Jagex, I'm happy for my fellow friends who will enjoy original pking, but if it means I'll have to battle with more and more bots, it will definitely end my participation in this game,
  23. Agreed. Who will reach 11 skills over 100M first? Skiller or Jdelacroix? Skiller is about 4-5 weeks away with magic and 5-6 weeks away with farming. Jdelacroix is about 3-4 weeks away with slayer depending on what he does once he max out.
  24. Will there be a need for an assist system once free trade is re-established? will free trade effect the fact people still dont have the skills to open some effigys lol? The assist system will only be used for effigies then. Trading ess vs runes, bars vs end products etc... will be done outside the assist system.
  25. Will there be a need for an assist system once free trade is re-established?
