As long as we have Zarfot and Lan here, could you guys give us an estimate as to when you think someone will reach 200M in every skills assuming no other skills are released ?

Some people feels that top players are using the best and fastest methods and they want to know those methods so they can achieve their personnal objectives. Other people like me are simply numbers and stats addicts who like to watch the highscores. Probably scores of other reasons, these were the main ones that came to mind. Off topic, good luck with your goals and especially slayer. Very impressive.

Look people, this thread is not about the ethical or unethical behavior of top players. It's about maxing out, the progress of top players and training methods. Please take your disputes elsewhere.

Well Skiller has gotten 12M xp so far, which is more than anyone form the top 5. Elias and Telmomarques have gotten great xp gains so far with 15M and 14M respectively. Another top player that has gotten nice XP gains is Erw J with 12M (also has reached 100M summoning). I'm glad to see Skiller consolidating is 1st rank and Erw J getting a small boost following a really "slow paced" summer. Expected more from Lan and Zarfot though...

You get 200M in melees and ranging by doing slayer ... at 40K xp per hour. So there's no additional training time for those skills outside slayer.

Sure there is a difference, but the correlation is often very high.

The thing is, they had very positive feedback from the first bonus XP week-end... positive feedback usually means people had fun... I have a feeling that people like you are the minority, even though they are somewhat loud about it.

@ Zaaps Well said and agreed on all points. The thing is, I understand how this is affecting you while I decided to adapt to it (have planted around 250 herb seeds in the last 2 weeks for herblore). My point is everyone has a choice to either suck it up or adapt. I don't think this is gamebreaking though, for the greater good (meaning enjoyment for the majority) these events are beneficial.

Well not all players are "impatient" like you and can wait until the item becomes available, some players are DIYers and find it fun, some players have the foresights to plan ahead and stock up. The way bonus XP week-ends harms you is not universal to all players. Fun is relative to everyone...

It wouldn't be fair to current santa hat owners... but santa hat would ultimately rise back to their price. I also still don't understand how Jagex is preventing you from playing the game in a way you enjoy...? If you like doing barrows.... what is stoping you? If your items not buying or not selling is upseting you... then your enjoyment lies with money, not skills or features.

Well you could always adapt. If barrows items are hard to sell now... a good idea is to wait for later to sell them. If an item is hard to obtain, get it yourself... Have you forgotten how it was done before there was a G.E. ? The market gets shuffled almost anytime an update occurs, bones rose in price when curses were introduced, herbs and seeds rose in price when extreme were introduced... that "messed up" the economy and changed the game styles of many players.... Should Jagex stop making updates that "destabilizes" the economy?

Sadly PenguinsLoose, having high skills does not make you elite. It just means you have a lot of XP in a skill. Before Kuradal was introduced, you could only kill them after at least starting ME. It meant you need an agility level of 56 to kill them. Skill synergy like that has always been a part of RS. Pures cannot complain that they get destroy when boss hunting because their defense is too low because they choose not to train their def. The way I see it, you are not willing to kill Jad or get 2000 slayer points to unlock ice wyrms... how can you complain then?

Everyone has the choice though... If you want to train herblore during that week-end, you are the one pressuring yourself to do it. I don't get how you can say a small amount of people can play at maximum efficiency...? Everyone is on the same field playing the same game...

Low levels benefit from bots, too. Yep, everyone should just bot this game. Not what I'm saying. Legit players benefit this game, too (obviously). More and more players skilling benefits me. Botting while away from your comp would benefit you more...

Telmomarques has really picked up the pace lately. I see him passing Paperbag and Elias to enter the top 10 pretty soon. edit: S U O M I has reached the 1,5B mark for rank 15 overall. Expect him to gain some ranks in the coming weeks and at least reach rank 13.

A huge number of people took part in the first bonus XP week-end, meaning some players probably re-subscribed to test it out. Why would Jagex ignore the fact that these week-ends are getting them more money? I get it that people with high herblore and summon are frustrated because more and more players are gonna compete with them at bosses. If I follow the usual line of thought from a great portion of TIF these days : "gtfo, shut up and let them play the game, stop whinning, the achievements of others are not lessening your achievements....etc".
