@ Westocean I don't blame him as slayer is my favorite skill, it is also a good choice to rake in some effigies before closing off the mining/smithing combo.

Just a note to say that Telmomarques will be passing Kingduffy today for rank 9 but he will soon run out of construction XP seeing as he's gonna max out the skill in 20M xp. Suomi is slaying, much to the surprise of about everyone here claiming he would finish smith or go train dungeon. Time will tell if he keeps on slaying or if it was just a fluke.

@ squareroot I'm pretty sure the guys you mentionned won't pass Zarfot in 2010, even though we can expect strange things from Drumgun (such as the monthly record), Suomi is way too far to get 600M xp in 3 months, just to get to the point Zarfot is right now. I'm still confident someone will max out before 2015 is over though.

Very impressed with Suomi's last push. This will get very interesting once he gets to faster skills.

Ohh didn't know about that break... I said consistent because when he is playing, he's roughly getting the same average 2M xp per day consistently. Also finding myself on the spotlight with this, I will certainly train dungeon down the road, but I view this skill like the others "hard to afk/multitask" skills like RC, agility and hunters. I don't have much time these days for skills like that because of overflowing job and much less time to play.

Looks like I was way off on my predict of Telmomarques passing Kingduffy near the end of the month, at the pace he's going, this could happen as soon as the end of the week... Suomi will also be getting 200M mining as soon as early thursday. Balmung pro is tearing through slayer and should become the first player to get 10 skills over 100M xp as early as this week-end, a very nice feat for one of the most consistent player out there.

yep and both these guys should pass Kingduffy by the end of october unless he picks up a faster pace, which seems unlikely. @ signature Nice post and thank you for the feedback. Effigies and assisting them really is the main game-changer in 2010. Off-topic, are you a fellow future accountant?

I decided to make a predictive chart of the year's end highscore. Bear in mind this was made using the last 45 days of training and assuming players keep their trend. Top 15 XP 2010 year's end prediction: 1. Balmung Pro (aasiwat) : 2 480B xp 2. Zarfot : 2 440B xp 3. Jdelacroix : 2 265B xp 4. Drumgun : 2 205B xp 5. Elvis : 2 059B xp 6. Telmomarques : 2 045B xp 7. Gertjaars : 2 019B xp 8. Lan : 1 995B xp 9. Erw j : 1 955B xp 10. Elias : 1 945B xp 11. Kingduffy : 1 825B xp 12. S u o m i : 1 820B xp 13. Tezz : 1 800B xp 14. Paperbag : 1 740B xp 15. Green098 : 1 670B xp This is from purely statistical values and following the past 45 days trend. I don't believe Elvis, Telmomarques, Elias and Tezz will maintain their pace to achieve these XP totals and ranks, but the top 15 will probably have all these names when all is said and done on Jan 1st 2011.

He trained this way until Dungeoneering got released. It's not clear what is his goal these days though. He still has some very impressive ranks in every skills though. On-Topic ( and please guys try to stay on topic and discuss assumptions on real-life habits on OTHER THREADS!!!) : I have a feeling that community driven players ( Aasiwat with supreme skillers and Zarfot with his youtube videos come to mind quickly) will tend to stick with RS longer that players who are not "attached" with things like clans and guilds. These factors can influence how far a player can and will go. It is interesting to watch the top players these days in comparison to 3-4 years ago when every top player was training cooking-fletching-thieving, while most of our current top players have these skills out of the way, there's a lot of variety in training.

Coming milestones: 100M slayer 2. Zarfot 2,22B xp : Also slaying, he has gained major xp in RC also from effigies. He has cut the lead Balmung Pro has on him to 60M xp. Coming milestones : nothing in sight. 3. Jdelacroix : 2,14Bxp. A somewhat slow week for Jd, he's still keeping up with dungeon as well the daily farming and some slayer. Coming milestones : 100M xp ranged and 100M farming. 4. Drumgun : 2,08B xp. Our newest 99 farmer has been keeping up with farming this week and also training ranged, slayer, WC and dungeon. Paperbag is getting huge xp gains in farming, but he's not getting much XP outside that skill so it seems like he's slowing globally but information out there points out to him preparing himself for herblore.... Thanx Lan, this was the kind of insights I was looking for. Not to diss out anyone here who posted their effigy habits, but getting effigies with all skills at 99 is pretty different from a player with stats like me where I don'T even have a choice on some effigies. Edit: Thank you Aasiwat!

Here's a question to anyone (top players lurking or active here are of course invited to answer!) : Do you choose your effigy skill on the spot or is it already decided that you're always gonna put the experience in a given skill (for example, WC over fletching)? Do you choose fishing over farming? Do you open up your effigy upon receiving them or wait when you bank without wasting time with boosted combat skills?

I bought the ability to kill them form Kuradal because I wanted to enjoy the full spectrum of slayer, but I ended up blocking them because they were so long to kill.

It seems clear to me that Aasiwat meant that by not using a cannon, when you reach 200M slayer, you have already reached 200M in melees and HP a while ago and the only solution to that is once you reach 200M in melees and HP, you finish off slayer by ranging and maging... at a very slow pace or you keep on meleeing, wasting XP. Edit: Aasiwat explained it better a couple posts down.

This topic started out as a debate if maxing out all skills to 200M xp was possible and when could it be completed. It evolved into pointing out which players were best positionned to achieve this and what were the fastest methods to complete each skills. Lately it's been mostly keeping up with currents training trends, cheering players and pointing "flaws" on some, following the "dog race" like Zarfot said and we also had the unwanted nolifing arguments that creep up from time to time. Anyway, it's always nice to have some insights from top players.

Thanx, even though it can't be considered conclusive, it's a very good indicator and I won't waste my time trying to get a rock with superheating.

@ Jebrim I think some of us sometimes forget that not every top player wants to max out all skills at 200M, in fact, the only player that came forward and claimed it was his goal is S U O M I. That's why when some of us are analysing their progress, our view on the matter is skewed by our preconception of how a player should play to max out all skills without going "over" in some skills. We sometimes fail to appreciate what is important in another player's mind when it conflicts with our ideal behavior. Back on topic, even though many posters are getting on the bandwagon that SUOMI is in a very good position with very slow skills already high, the fact he is still 700M xp behind Aasiwat/Balmung Pro, means he's still about 5 months away at 5M xp / day ( a very fast average) from Aasiwat's current XP. In the meantime, Aasiwat should get 2M xp per day, something he's averaging these days, and would still be ahead by 300M xp. At this point, we would have at least 2 players with 2,5B xp, halfway to maxing out all skills. This is obviously mostly predictive thoughts, but nothing I observe these days convince me otherwise. @ Aasiwat When you reach 100M slayer, you will beocme the first players to get 100M xp in 10 skills.
