Yep ever since passing Gertjaars sometime in early spring I think. He has a 70M xp lead on Zarfot at rank 2.

It explodes and you have to start all over again. I wouldn'T mind. I'm doing the weekly statue because it "forces" me to train skill I don't like and it gives me a small xp reward that adds up over time. The 150K agility, hunter and RC XP gained so far is very valuable to a person like me, as well as the XP gained from actively training those skills. Without this, I wouldn't have these skills over 80, probably around 75.

I'm getting my 27th rock next thursday night, friday early morning BST. Looking forward to september 22nd to find out what exactly happens when your home statue is done though.

Even though looking at Zezima's total XP now in comparison to other top players (he's probably ranked outside the top 50 at this moment), someone not familiar with the 2004-2008 highscore would probably dismiss his achievements. The main thing is that Zezima was either rank 1 overall or rank 1 in XP on any given day (or close to it anyway) for nearly 5 years. It took a whole year after he "quit" to get him off his throne... Zezima was the top dog at a time where you had to trade from person to person to get materials and when training rates were a lot lower than these days. He held rank 1 overall while Lilyuffie had more XP and once he passed her, only N0valyfe ever came close enough to him (making a deal to pass him before quitting) and when he called it "quit" himself, he had 20% more XP than any other player. Having your name on the top of the highscore front page for 4-5 years certainly helps make you a legend. The big difference with today's top players is competition. Aasiwat has Zarfot, Jdelacroix and Drumgun to compete with, players that gained on average 600-750M xp since the year began. Gertjaars had the biggest lead any player has ever enjoyed sometime last year (around 300M XP) and it was not enough to maintain his rank for a long time. At the current pace of Zarfot, Aasiwat (Balmung pro) would lose his rank #1 inside a month if he stopped playing, not something Zezima ever experienced aside from when Novalyfe was around. I guess this is the main reason why following these guys' progress is so interesting, nothing is set in stone like it used to be. Everyone is cheering for his favorite player for whatever reason they have. Being a huge slayer and farming fan, I root for Lan and Aasiwat and to a lesser extent, Kingduffy and Zarfot, but I'm happy to see Drumgun gaining levels in farming at last! My views on maxing out and the use of effigies are skewed by my love for slayer and the fact I'm not in any position to ever see my character get a front page ranking lock forever. To all top players lurking or posting here: good luck with your goals and don't be bothered too much by our over-analysis of the situation, it's a game after all!

This is clearly now becoming a problem for alot of the competitors- they are blatantly giving up free xp from effigies(aasiwat maxing const/thief and cooking/firemaking means 23k less xp per effigie). I guess skill rankings mean more to them than the big picture. I guess it's a personnal choice by some players, but I understand this choice if lost XP in the long run means permanent ranking on the front page of a given skill...especially construction.

He really shouldn'T max out smithing if he intends on slaying later on because of effigies. It would be a waste to gain no added XP in either mining and smithing.

Balmung Pro has reached 200M construction and he's going back to slayer. S U O M I has claimed rank 13 from Green098, he should stay at this place for several weeks, unless he slows down a lot.

@ Aribiterspar Is he gathering materials for a skill in particular? Also, try not to quote big posts if you only want to reply to a part of it. It fills this thread too quickly.

Update of the top 15 1. Balmung Pro (previously Skiller and Aasiwat) : 2,25B xp. Still going strong and maintaining his lead over Zarfot, Balmung Pro is very close to finishing construction for his 6th 200M skill. He's also gaining daily XP in farming and he remains a good bet for first player to 2,5B XP. Coming milestones: 100M slayer and 200M construction (6th skill). 2. Zarfot : 2,18B xp. First off, congrats on 200M fletch (6th 200M skill). This past week, Zarfot has trained both dungeoneering and a trio of mining/smithing/magic. Coming milestones : 2,2B XP. 3. Jdelacroix : 2,12Bxp. Still training Dungeon, slayer and farming lately, he seems like the kind of player that sticks to a goal. He may have somewhat slowed down, but he has his rank 3 pretty much locked for the next couple weeks. Coming milestones : 100M xp ranged and 100M farming. 4. Drumgun : 2,05B xp. Our most controversial top player has been training farming and ranged lately, on his way to become the first player to max out all combat skills. Coming milestones : 100M fletching. 5. Gertjaars : 2,02B xp. Still inactive... 6. Lan : 1,86B xp. Still training slayer (keep it up mate!), he still has Erw J close on his heels. I believe he can reach 2B before the year ends. Solely training dungeoneering lately, I have a feeling Erw J is eyeing rank 1 overall seeing as no one with more XP than him is better placed at the moment. . Coming milestones : nothing in sight! 8. Elias : 1,68B xp. Going at a much slower pace than the last weeks, he's been training multiple skills but his WC stands out. Coming milestones : 1,7B XP. 11. telmomarques : 1,65B xp. Still one of the fastest paced player out there, he's reached 100M construction last week, his main training skill. Coming milestones : nothing in sight. 12. Paperbag : 1,64B xp. Nothing much done in the last week... for a top player that is. He's closing in on 100M farming and has been training some fishing last week. Coming milestones : 100M farming. 13. Green098 : 1,54B xp. Still training dungeon and closing in on 100M XP and obviously 120 dungeon and max total. He'll lock himself on the front page for a long while once he reach those milestones. I'm also nearing the completion of my statue (26th rock or so) and I hope you continue to get weekly Xp for these even though your POH statue is completed. What I would like is to have double reward when your POH statue is complete.

@ Kietaro and those responding to his picture I have no doubt that these players are probably botters, hence cheaters and deserve the bad publicity of having their names shown on a forum. But the thing is, being pretty sure is not a garantee of guilt. I'm not arguying the fact that every world is filled wth "players" blocked at the ditch wearing green dragons hunting gear. Just saying a pic showing names in a bad light, even though these players "asked" for it, is against the rules on these boards.

@ Kierato I think it's against the rules to post pics of players "cheating". Like many have said, it's a matter of time before new macros are released. All you lazy people don'T worry, raw materials won't be affected for too long.

I gained 2,6M xp prayer with brawlers and frost bones yesterday, very fast XP.

Kingduffy and Elvis have both reached 1,7B xp and Elvis also gained a rank over Kingduffy in the last 24 hours.

Is this a joke? It better be... Because you can buy 99's just as easily if not more easily than you can buy rares... As a matter of fact... you can buy easily the materials to 99s, but you still have to train them. Achievements are relative to the individual also. A player cheating to get 99 hunter and a legit player training his way to 99 will both have the same end results, except one of them might be a little prouder...

I think the best comparison we can make for someone like Dapledo is Lan/Lucipher6. These guys have the same "floor", which is basically every skill with at least 30M xp, but Lan is envoying a lead of 600M xp over Dapledo with Slayer very well ranked (I assume here everyone knows how "slow" slayer is...). I guess the real feat going for Dapledo would be 200M farming and his 56M xp in RC. It would be unfair to not mention the fact he's pretty much all fast skills open, meaning he could climb up the ranks pretty quickly.

@ Drumgun I agree that we can't take anything for granted and you are the perfect example. For months you were somewhat under the radar gaining daily marginal XP crawling your way to 1,7B when all of a sudden, 300M xp in a record time. Anything can happen, but I deal mostly with numbers and averages, which is why I don't put much faith in Dapledo..yet!

Yep Dapledo has a really nicely built char, but he is 1B xp behind rank 1. Also, at the pace he is goign, it would take him nearly 3 years to get as much XP as Balmung Pro (rank 1). I don't doubt his dedication, I just doubt this is the player we'll be tracking for first player to ever max out.

He still maintains a confortable lead over Zarfot with 70M xp seperating the 2 players, even though that lead has shrunk considerably in the last months. Coming milestones: 100M slayer and 200M construction (6th skill). 2. Zarfot : 2,17B xp. Zarfot has been training multiple skills in the last week, dungeon, slayer, thieving, runecrafting, WC, fletching (nearing 200M xp) and mostly summoning during bonus XP week-end. He's mostly a lurker here even though he posted once on this thread. Coming milestones : 200M fletching (6th skill), 2,2B and 100M WC. 3. Jdelacroix : 2,11Bxp. Jd has been training slayer and dungeon mostly last week as well as the daily farming and summoning on bonus XP week-end. He's reached 2,1B last week. Coming milestones : 100M xp ranged and 100M farming. 4. Drumgun : 2,05B xp. This recently joined Tip.iter has been training farming lately and gaining a bunch of lvls, he's also training his last combat skill, ranged. Coming milestones : 100M fletching. 5. Gertjaars : 2,02B xp. Still inactive...although he gain a whopping 35xp in magic last week, probably teleporting to... who knows? 6. Lan : 1,85B xp. This other Tpi.iter has slowed down a bit last week, training a mix of slayer, fishing, RC and construction. Coming milestones: 100M def 7. Erw J : 1,84 xp. The awakening I guess! Major milestones from ErwJ W lately, lots of dungeoneering lvls as well as getting 100M summon during bonus XP week-end, he could overtake Lan in the coming days. . Coming milestones : nothing in sight! 8. Kingduffy : 1,70B xp. Still going at a "slow pace" , he's been doing dungeoneering and thieving lately. Coming milestones : 1,7B xp 9. Elvis : 1,69B xp. One of the fastest players these days once again, he's been training prayer, summoning and dungeoneering. Expecting him to pass Kingduffy very soon after reaching 1,7B. Coming milestones : 100M prayer, 100M WC, 100M attack and 1,7B xp. 10. Elias : 1,66B xp. The second fastest XP gainer lately, he's been training hunter, herblore but mostly prayer in the last week, he's passed Paperbag during bonus XP week-end. Coming milestones : 100M prayer. 11. telmomarques : 1,64B xp. The rank 1 overall has shifted into high gear lately training construction and is enjoying the fastest speed of the top players, same as last week except he's also passed Paperbag. Coming milestones : 100M construction.' 12. Paperbag : 1,64B xp. Having lost two rank in the last week, it's not because he hasn't trained, only that he's been outtrained by the two fastest players of the top 15. Has been training WC, herblore and farming last week. Small consolation prize : no one in sight to pass him in the next couple weeks/ months. Coming milestones : 100M farming. 13. Green098 : 1,54B xp. He's still training dungeoneering, still going steady, still front page. Coming milestones : 100M dungeon. 14. S U O M I : 1,53B xp.
