  1. Yeah no sense in that really.
  2. But not useless... Sadly I don't think there is. The best bet would be that if you find a setup you like that someone's using then ask them for the hex decimal code and save it.
  3. Really not looking forward to camping these things for both bows. I should just buy keys from camping glacors and QBD. Granted the drops from ascendents are fairly good for mid to high level players. I ended up maxing out my alchemist and explorer ring high alches in a couple hours. Edit: after looking at the prices I would more likely do an hour of QBD and buy 7-8 keys than kill these things for an hour. They have nice mechanics and a great interactive ecosystem.
  4. I think I'm going to camp and collect 700-ish keys. Going to be a long ways...
  5. I assume you haven't finished the History of the Order? I've been reading it o the wiki. Honestly I don't get how you all aren't seeing this as mod Osborne said there are 8 guardians. Guthix chose those guardians and the others don't have the ability to do anything other than excommunicate them from efforts like you mentioned. He is a guardian because guthix chose him not because Juna dismissed him. In TWW we were gifted with guthix own magic and powers the same as the other guardians. There are eight guardians, but we don't know of at least one of them. (Two if Ocellus is not considered a Guardian anymore) The number of Guardians can't be used as confirmation of Ocellus' inclusion or exclusion in the number itself. It is debatable as to whether or not it is the power imparted to them that makes them a Guardian, or if they are only blessed with power to help accomplish their set task if they can't do so with their own abilities. For example, the player was given protection from the Gods--but that was given separately after we had already become a Guardian. Cres, on the other hand, seems to have no special god-granted powers whatsoever--just immense intelligence. Ocellus seems to be the same way, from the information we know so far. For the most part, being a Guardian is being assigned a task by Guthix. If you are exiled by the other Guardians and you no longer follow the assigned task, there can't really be any connection left to being a Guardian--you really aren't guarding anything anymore. What makes a Guardian--the (potentially related) powers, or Guthix + other Guardians' opinion? That is the question that is currently being pondered--we won't get a direct answer until Mod Osborne is asked it. It can be argued one way or another, we just need to learn out what he had in mind when he said eight Guardians. (And, thusly, are there one or two remaining Guardians to look out for?) We have a lore QA coming up and I want to use this post as a base for a few questions. Though I might trim it to spare the reader, but you seem to clearly get the context of what I am hinting at as well as what I and the community both want to address. That being a understanding of the extend of guardian of guthix powers, their place as divine or mortal beings, and when are where we may expect to see the final guardian.

  7. Ocellus is a guardian of guthix. He stated that he was busy so couldn't come right? Or even at the least if he wasn't trusted by the other guardians it was guthix choice to make him a guardian and the other can't do anything to deny him responsibility or revoke his powers. That is something reserved for guthix himself. Ocellus should remain as seen as a guardian of guthix and sets the standard for the guardians that they are fallable (even in the eyes of their peers). I honestly feel the community here is over-analyzing this. He is a guardian of guthix - period.
  8. I wish I could get more of these keys or get some more drops.
  9. 5 bosses and nothing tonight.
  10. I'm wondering if we were recruited as a replacement for Virius since if you've done the lorebook and used it on him after you can see that he was kind of a failure. It would make sense if his job was originally convincing people not to worship gods and he was replaced that we would be given a somewhat similar role. Oh one thing I kind of forgot to mention, but was an undertone to the mortals being recruited concept. The guardians are mortals and with Virius I think try are trying to portay that they are prone to mistakes and aren't whole divine and righteous (despite how the gods might feel they themselves are, but really aren't).
  11. So it dawned on me that before TWW was released they stated that several guthix guardians would be revealed and the total number being 8. Currently we know the Valluta, Juna, Fiona and the player being guthix guardians. With that we found out there was Cres and Death (Chaelder apparently not being one and his place there currently unknown to me). Now after the release of the Order of Ascension we see a new one named Ocellus Virius. That raises the number to 7/8 known guardians of guthix. Over the past few events we've been seeing a colorful picture painted out of how guthix not only viewed the world, but how he interacted with it. Guthix apparently picked mortal beings at the time who showed they were worthy of a cause to protect an aspect of the world he held dear. Some are still questioned because they lack the story to legitimately say they were mortal and not outright created. But generally all of these beings were give some kind of power and something to look after. Now lets touch on what all the current guardians are watching over: Cres: Guardian of Guthix chambers and custodial architect. Fiona: Guardian of the "fist of guthix" or more logically the residual powers left behind by the stone of jas. Valluta: Guardian of the in-coming portals from foreign invasive worlds. Death: Guardian of souls. The Player: Guardian of the people from the tyranny of the Gods (could be the "flaming on the new skill" mention by players choices they could have during the quest and choices they may have in divination). Occelus Virius: Could be potentially construed as the Guardian of freedom for man. Guthix seemed to admire man greatly and saw Virius as a protector of this aspect. So with that we now see a few things with the guardians of guthix. They are all mortals "risen" by guthix and given great power both in purpose and magically as well. These beings seem to embody a purpose as well as a fraction of Guthix personality and purpose in conserving the world. So my next part up or discussion is what might we see for our eighth and final guardian of guthix? Could this person be a potential avatar as leader for the godless faction? Who knows...
  12. If the entry level player had absolutely no use or alternatives for bronze in that case and the useless bronze was now being given a use for t90 players? Yeah. That seems fine to me considering the price would not remain high and would soon lower to a far more reasonable level due to farming it. Which is exactly what we saw happen with almost every dragon item drop released ever. It's overreacting to claim that it was the worst facet of the update, plain and simple. As an aside, the only way to fix this mess is restructuring the entire concept of dragon items. And they can't do that yet since they're tied to lore/mh'ing/quests; unfortunately, that'd be a wasted effort when there's still a smithing rework to be released later on. Thank. You. Finally the light shown through. Lets also keep in mind how saturated the market already should be with bronze items. Even lending a thought to the notion the price would fluctuate a smidge is weak.
  13. Personally I think their move on letting people use fragments on bronze arrows and bolts is a good thing. Granted they should have varied it to allow the other iron, steel, moth, etc. items get used. Their reinclusion of old content is fine especially with a game revolving around grind. Great now you need to go back to TDs and grid out a few limbs - GOOD! skills might slightly value bronze arrows and bolts and put them at a slight use -GOOD/
  14. If your kids hungry and you can't leave immediately to get them food do they still have a point? Your kids not starving nor are these players lacking good content. So yes it's still whining.
  15. Tip.it seriously needs a father figure. That guy who people look up to and in times of need tell you this - quit whining and deal with it. If you want something to whine about I'll give you something to whine about.
  16. Just sent out scroll 63/80 at 89%.
  17. So, we are now buying the right to grind a boss for a rare drop. What will they think of next? It's not a bad idea really... The only thing that bothers me is how simplistic jagex makes things at times. I'm fine working on grinding out kills. Anyways the bosses are about a couple notches under the GWD bosses anyways. How rare are the signets? I've killed 3 and got nothing.
  18. Keys are still coming fairly consistently at about 1 every dozen or so kills.

I'm just going to sell my subjugate, rebuy WoT and ahrim's book. Then buy full Virtus.
  20. Urza285 replied to Urza285's topic in Help and Advice
Well I didn't sell my "bank." I actually just gutted my bank of resources I collected over time. I'm sitting on all three GWD sets, glacor boots, automaton gloves and superior pop armour. I already have both drygore maces and royal cbow. I am wanting to make the move to the next best mage pieces. I currently have 153m after selling my ahrim's book and treachery.

Is it worth the 145m? I gutted my resources to obtain it and the book.
  22. There is also a tower shield and sword that comes with that armour too. Maybe when I get home ill post a pic for you if someone else doesn't,
  23. I made a perfectly viable suggestion a while ago. Balls in their court to step up to the plate and hit. Please tell us then what suggestion. Just saying you made a suggestion and then not telling what suggestion it is, isn't helping. Being on these forums as long as I have I realize the nature of the community. Nothing tends to come from suggesting something or at least mentioning it again because it gets beats to death. The only positive effect to come from it is the mental stimulation the critics get from observing that suggestion. Tl;dr I don't feel like finding and reposting it knowing that outcome due to the nature of this discussion. Nothing remotely entertaining will come out it.
