Seems Jagex has a passive damage reduction buff coming from the new song from the depths quest. Maybe we'll see buffs added from bonfires that make any food eaten give extra healing?

Bought a 20+5 pack of sof spins and won a mystic tattoo and curled horns. Also got a bunch of crappy xp lamps that are useless to me... The only one that helped any was a medium lamp used on dungeoneering for 17k xp. Meh on another note I finally got some time to play so I'm camping out Runespan to get Esteem rank 1, greater runic staff and the wicked cape to replace my spottier capes. Might even get two for a placeholder, but I'm not sure.

All the same? I'm curious what ones, horns included, that are on the common/uncommon plots. I wouldn't mind getting the twisted horns... Any of them really except for the curled horns because they lie low and look bad in my opinion.

Bonfires have been a longstanding popular suggestion since classic days. I also hope to see bonfires get as big as cannons.

About time really... I mean honestly the one badass cosmetic item they get that is worth getting, the demon horns, and its insanely rare. I will definitely be trying for them because the rest, even the head tattos really, suck.

Maybe in order to make it less of an endurance fight, yet similar to nex, she'll summon waves of dragons? And with something that massive a swinging tail might as well be considered a ranged attack if it comes from a distance.

The one quote I have seen mentioning an 'endurance fight' specifically said it was NOT one. Also a tail lash would not be a ranged attack because lashing something is a melee move. Maybe firing tail barbs though. I could have sworn it said that it was going to be an endurance fight, but not as long as the fight kiln.

Also looking at the concept art from the QBD battleground there aren't any hidiv spots. This makes me think we will have to purely dodge things. With that said I'm speculating that we see wind gust attacks that are magic based. We will obviously see dragonfire attacks that may be needed to dodge, ice breath attacks to stop you in your tracks and maybe a more potent poison breath attack. I can't think of what her ranged attack is except maybe a tail lash? Also if this is an endurance fight I'm curious what we might be facing? Maybe... 1 iron dragon 2 iron 1 steel 1 steel, 1 iron 2 steel 1 mithril 1 mithril, 1 iron Etc... Maybe up to adamantite and rune?! Maybe there are some drops designated to these?

Has anyone considered how the fight might be? I am speculating that we might just be facing the giant head of the beast and maybe it's wings/claws.

What was the point/hour on that island?

Thinking about how I'm 99 runecrafting I am wondering what the points (not xp) per hour might be for death, blood and/or soul nodes. Someone on here mentioned that they were getting 1.9k points an hour, but didn't specify on what or how.

dragon c'bow! :rolleyes: but really...would be kind of nice if dragon throwing knives were a common drop for guaranteed profit and then dragon kiteshield was kind of a big ticket item (think glacors, but knives instead of shards and kiteshield instead of boots) You both have a great idea here. I am fairly certain we will see the crossbow, knives and Maybe the warhammer too. They might even pawn the shortsword off on it too. Somewhere they mentioned it would be an instanced fight which will be similar to the nomad boss fight.

I'm pleased to see the bonfires because it was a well received suggestion that is literally as ancient as runescape classic. I am also pleased to see the QBD and am hoping to see its release on crandor. I don't get why people are still nagging I about the 10 year cape. There are more 10 year vets I think than is let on.

Because Jagex has all the data now, where as rs wikia won't have the data till players obtain the items. I am guessing that based on the rates we have now that Jagex wiki will be updated with (semi-correct) data before we as players have access to all that content. I trust wikia more than jagex wiki overall but this is for new information that players can't get yet because it takes so long. Yeah I knew you were going to say that and I pretty much just wasted my breath :P.

Why rely on the rs wiki when the rs wikia is way better?

Yeah I was hoping that I could get an understanding of the whole robe set effect (despite knowing no one probably has it yet). Also I just learned that the esteem costs are accumulative meaning that you'll only need to get a total of 212k points to reach rank 1. Of course there are the other rewards which adds on another 51k points. Seems like the time spent completing the whole of the content and collecting the rewards might be around 139 hours.

Are the staves degradable? Sorry I just might be going here, pitching tend and living there until I have the trimmed requirements plus the other stuff. Any idea on what the staves are like? Oh and I plan on having fun!

How many points an hour would you guess? Also is the esteem levels just for the robe cosmetic rewards?

Can someone post a picture of the esteem shop prices? I want to see what it costs to get to level 1 and get the cosmetic rewards for the wicked robes.

Im surprised that no one has any thoughts of what the new staves and wicked robes might be like or do. I got curious about the staves and thought about the talisman staves from GoP and thought about how it might be nice to have imbued staves that when wielded they act as a limited supply of a certain talisman when you are combining runes or boost the rune production multiplier for so many essence.
