Now that would be a welcome update I mean honestly nothing would reek of "free-trade" than to see actual auction houses were you can make a post on what you want to sell or buy, for what price, quantity and where you can see your own market posts alongside everyone else's posts. You could also see the players prices and know whether or not that they're selling above the median price or below it. Hell I would be perfectly fine with jagex capping the package amounts of certain items and still doing the buyout limitations. Honestly I think one thing that drives out market is that the community actually doesn't have a fair understanding of how saturated the market is or how high the demand is other than chart numbers. It would be awesome to view how many buyers there are in the market for an item, what they are asking for and how high they are willing to pay for said item.

Sorry. I'm sure it'll be all members like last time with the RS2 beta. There might even be a slight chance of them trying to promote their loyalty program system by saying only those that have been members for a certain amount of time, but that verging on the ridiculous (but not outside the realm of jagex).

Wild Weekends
Best magic defense of any item in the weapon slot! By...uh...two points! Yeah! :unsure: What? Since when? That's not true at all. Oh sure it has... Maybe I overplayed it a bit, but I've noticed that some situations always seemed so cramped and heard similar stories from other players. Mind you this was before jagex fixing the BoB inventory thing. Then again things get a bit hairy when your trying to carry alches (or explorer ring), vengeance runes, spec weapon, quick switch weapon, dreadnips, teletabs, and scrolls. Basically what I'm saying is its manageable, but at the same time it's annoying to make the build you desire without forgetting something or feeling like you don't have the room for it all to function together.

Bonfires
Hurry, lets go whine and nag them on the forums in a mass appeal. No, really, I am being for real. Great update, nice to see them graphically include the log types for the fires, but we SHOULD have had increases in size for bonfires. My ideal thought on this update was to see up getting updated fires and at least 2-3 graphical changes to the bonfires appearances based on its size, but I would settle for an animation that signified a change from a fire to a bonfire and then another that switched at the 2 minute marker signifying that the fire was smoldering out.

Wild Weekends
Part of me wants to slap you... Real hard. I mean with a nerf bat... REAL HARD!... Enough to leave a mark with said nerf bat. If you make an honest effort to think outside the 'combat' box you'd see that this little staff is like the magical equivalent of a swiss army knife tool. One of the biggest longstanding issues plaguing players for quite some time has been the thought of how to manage inventory space when you want to use your magical abilities as well. What makes this thing so awesome is that you can charge it with alches when on a slayer run, fertile soil for farm runs, remote farm or even duel switch between the two; vengeance for boss runs... Hell even the aficionados can find a use with it by saving inventory space for plank-make, humidify and the ever popular string jewelry. I know for a fact that all of those situations are slightly demanding on inventory space and can be a bit annoying especially if you are doing them in between or during other things.

Would make sense if inventory points score did not fall when you 'spent' runes travelling, chipping or at wizard. Plus if you buy the rune-pack to get started inventory points goes up. Plus there'd be no logical reason to have inventory points that get traded in if they could not fall as well as rise. With that said... We REALLY need some jmod confirmation.

I'm all for working on the upkeep of content, but those tricky guys at Jagex put in a new Burthorpe task for bonfires without mentioning it. To top things off they just gave me more incentive to STAY at Runespan to get rank 3 or even rank 2 because of the upcoming double runespan point weekend thing. DAMN YOU! Just when I thought I could separate myself from this place! With that said... 15m runecrafting xp.

I'm surprised no jmod has posted about whether current points will be doubled. Someone did mention that it might just be the points syphoned that are counted. I'm sure that the way things were coded it might not actually be points converted on leave based on hats in your inventory, but based on what you syphoned. So maybe you get runes for the xp, but points are based on what you syphoned.

The xp rates even now are not just a little better than ZMI. The xp rates are anywhere from 50-80% more than that assuming ZMI gets 55k an hour. If anything I think the xp rates from runespan should have never exceeded 75k an hour at level 99 excluding the yellow wizards.

Future Update Discussions
I am actually excited to see runescape introduce a WoW type button mashing skill to the game. I agree I enjoy the simplicity of the games combat, but like you said it is stale and with that it burdens improvement to the game. Te only thing I hope for is that jagex might introduce the ability to incorporate macros (strings of actions done is a specific sequence). I would love to see a macro that would perform switch from chaotic rapier to claws, claw special, claw special, switch to chaotic rapier. Another good one might be heal-other, drink brew. Anyways I think that change is good because it keeps things interesting, people on their toes and playing the game longer. It's kind of like the analogy of evolution and Alice from Alice in Wonderland wen she was running from the Red Queen, but she was only able I run in place. My point is that it's better to be met with constant change than to sit around mastering everything to the point you begin getting lazy with it. I would rather have this come down on us than spend my time mindnumbingly wacking away at things or being one of those game tick counting efficienados. I'm sure jagex appreciates player effort for finding the most efficient ways of doing things, but I'm willing to bet those tick counting tactics are more meta-game knowledge that realistic game play.

Yeah those leaks were out since Easter. They were posted I a YouTube vid promoting the Easter event and I guess it was their play on the term "Easter egg."

I've had that random more than once in the span and have not lost my runes. All I know is that last night I got the random but decided go to bed instead, woke up, did it. Had no runes. but they got converted to points Oh then thats no big deal, honestly...

^ This It's why I hate leaving the span, when I've got like 5k unused ess. Or remove the essence from your inventory and put it in a counter that activates when you enter Runespan and doesn't clear when you leave. If they nuke the spawn times of esshounds and esswraiths I would even be totally supportive of a 90% diminishing return when you return to the runespan. I honestly think that somewhere down the line runespan will be nerfed a bit because I feel there is simply just not enough traveling around from players. As I sit here typing this I am camping two islands for blood pools, bloody skulls, skull piles, undead souls, living souls and when they are all gone I end up syphoning maybe 3-5 soul esswraiths until a good one comes by on the two islands.

I think nodes work more like the concentrated ores in lrc where they go down and come up randomly.

My whole thing with runespan was to just camp one or two islands. I mean nodes are fairly common and when a good node isn't around the syphoning of creatures makes me more essence than I need for when the good nodes return. Honestly in my opinion higher tiered creatures spawn times should be upped because it's too easy to camp a couple islands and not have to move around. I have almost 6k essence after camping nearly 14k points on the two soul esswraith island.

I think I just realized what the health bonuses are going to be like when I saw how the players were leaning over the fire and warming their hands. They are probably going to be similar to how resting works, but with lp. Maybe the log type will offer increasingly better lp restoration over time?
