I CLEARLY stated I wished jagex would have elaborated more on the introduction of this event for the sake of those who aren't versed in those cultures. Matteroffactly I laid out my post in a manner so as to come off suspecting it was a cultural event not found in the Americas. To me your post wreaks of "dumb American." I prefer to make attempts at being more culturally sensitive so please watch how you word your posts.

Honestly this carnival thing is so spontaneous and thrown out there. I literally feel as if jagex said "let's invent a minor holiday and a piece of headgear to make it a legit inclusion into the game." Tthere is literally no information given to us other than spring is supposedly "carnival time." I wish jagex would elaborate and maybe say in the UK/EU there are typically random carnivals traveling about. <- this was just my assumption on the update.

Extremely doubtful because jagex clearly stated their intentions for effigies weren't to be horded. Though I would love to see a sequel to the dragon kin storyline. I kinda mean it in the sense you need say 5 effigiess to summon/fight/whatever some monster/access some area and since you can only have 5 at one time people are more likely to use them as they get them now and it is harder to get effigies now so it could play into it? I honestly see it as a control mechanism. If I were to attempt to think like jagex I would go with making a notable effort to show consideration for all parties involved. This means still giving pvmers/slayers the chance, while slightly decreased, to get a second effigy while trying to complete their task. They choose to not go the hard line route of cutting them off with just one effigy because of the potential of having more drops of effigies on the same task. Also as a bonus for players seeking xp, but with a price for seeking it, from unconventional methods they didn't go the hard line route and made it possible to get up to 5 with a decreased drop rate after each one.

Yeah definitely... Going on my first fight kiln run innn... 4 hours? Just need to stock up a bit, grab my daily flasks, condense some, but a fresh polypore and head in.

Its never going to be impressive again, for several reasons. 1.) The game has been out for too long, players will eventually reach max just for playing. 2.) Too many people are maxed already. Its not that impressive just because its not unique anymore 3.) Skills, even without effigies, are mostly faster now. Way easier to max out things like mining, etc. I don't understand how its still not an impressive achievement. Currently on hiscores there are 1421 players at 2496. I'll call it 1500 for people who are f2p, and soon to be comp cape. Now there's 790k ranked members. We will say 800k members. (1500/800,000) * 100 = 0.1875%. How is something that only .2% of members achieved not impressive? Now if we're doing max cape, not counting 120dg however I don't see it as max. There should be around 3-5k players with access to max cape. (4000/800,000) * 100 = 0.5% Considering Runescape has been out 10 years and only .5% of players have achieved all 99s. I still see it as impressive as it was from pre-ge. There are 3.8k players with Max cape.

Get the frequently-used-contraption-killer over it. Skill like a real player... and do your assists too!

Same and I've been bank standing trying to get themas well. Just need them, 3 dg tracks, 120 dg and fight kiln completion for Completionist cape. Slightly annoyed by it...

Best tip for the dills is to ht it once and then use a dreadnip on it and let the dreadnip kill it off.

Man I'm sooo trying this tomorrow I think. Crunched for time at the moment. I got full gano, polypore staff, arcane stream, infinity boots, max cape, probably will use dreadnips and 150 flasks stored. I'm thinking of borrowing an arcane spirit shield from someone or using a dfs/Mage book/illuminated zam god book. I wonder if dreadnips would help on the boss and if it would be worth using on the jads.

Has anyone made a wave progression list? I would love to see one. I watched castlewars live stream from wave 19 to completion and was thoroughly amused at some of the "filler" waves that gave you an ample amount of easy monsters for soul split healing. [hide=lore]Did anyone notice the lore touched on in the elder kiln? We find the remains of Perjour, one of Zamoraks mentioned followers during the betrayal of Char. We also learn of Perjours pursuits to obtain an army of tzhaar for Zamorak through the use of the Elder Kiln. Also it is learned that the tokhaar are what the elder gods used to create the world. So I guess this actually throws out the idea that the elder gods were dieties with an immense amount of power to wave their hands to create the world however they wanted it. This shows that the elder gods probably have the same range of power as other he other gods. [/hide]

I think I'm suffering from a big of shellshock from hitting all 99s... I almost feel like there is a loss of purpose.

If you don't start dinging soon I'm going to pass you. I foresee a good week of dungeoneering will get me at least 101 dg.

I honestly don't know how I am going to do the Fight Kiln. That minigame is beastly.

Obtained the 50k I needed for 99 agility from the Elder Kiln quest with help from the early bird special. Here is me and my max cape :o I'm stoked... Now to beat the Fight Kiln and work on the rest of my goals and completionist cape.

Quest complete, got me 60k agility xp, which in turn got me 99 agility, which in turn go me both the agility skillcape AAAND the Max cape... Best update ever?

I will be maxing out tomorrow around 10am est on world 87. if anyone is interested in comin hit me up. I should be on around 6:30am to get the last 200k xp to 99 agility. After this its off to nolife dung for 120. I got everything else for comp cape. I'm a bit intrigued by how the fight kiln will be like because jad was hard for me and that'll be the only comp cape req left besides 120 dung. Anyone know of any guides for obtaining the safe pvp armours? Preferably quick methods?

Lol Jeremy it's so tempting to go and try it, but there is no point because the only xp I need is dung xp. Each effigy is like 43k dung xp and I could get nearly double that in an average dung.

Guthix raptor grown! Now to work on my chameleon and put my red egg into the incubator. 345k to 99 agility... I am starting to contemplate going for 104m in all skills.
