Consumables, Buyables, Raw Materials Discussion
I was trying to make a thread similar to the party hats and 3rd age discussion thread except with other items such as consumables, and raw materials, ect. I tried to add some discussion value other than saying, talk about random crap not doing with rares, ect.

Best month in a long time it looks like. I'm most excited for the dungeoneering update and the elite treasure trails.

Consumables, Buyables, Raw Materials Discussion
Yeah I hope to see them tweak it but I hope they don't go too far with it like 500k as you mentioned. I'd say 60-90k xp per day would be somewhat balanced. I just hate having to hunt down people only to find out they already maxed out assist.

99 range vs. 99 mage
Ranged for dag kings, and armadyl. Magic doesn't make as big of an impact as ranged does in my opinion. Try for 95 mage while you train ranged and you should be happy with both.

Profitable 50+ Skills
Farming. If you plant ranarr seeds and harvest every 75 minutes you'll be making very good profit for the measly 10 minutes it takes to do a farm run of only herbs. Runecrafting natures at level 44 is an option. And like others have said, train your melee's and get slayer up.

80-99 cooking
If you don't care about money then do wines or bake spell summer pies. If you want to do a more casual method then do monkfish till 94, sharks till 96-97. Rocktails the rest of the way.

Consumables, Buyables, Raw Materials Discussion
With the addition of effigies into the game I wonder how it will affect buyables, especially if jagex decides to tweak the assist system. Could possibly make prices drop on more skills.

Low C's Blog ~ 93 Dungeoneering ~ 3 Chaotics ~
Heya, glad you found my blog. I'm sure I'll go down there after I get burnt out on slayer. I don't appreciate what your signature is suggesting, at all. Also, Lowc hasn't posted in like 4 posts. In doggie posts thats 100 posts. Based on his posts per day ratio of .99 posts per daym that means Lowc has been gone for 100 days. Now 100 days in doggie days is 700 doggie days. Thats 7 years in zimbabwe. After 7 years ppl are declared dead by the us. Rip lowc i miss you :( and i posted on ur profile. i say that cuz no one does so i felt bad. i feel liek a douche for saying that That math hurts my brain, but I seen your post in my profile and I must say it made me smile. And I don't know why people dont post in my profile I guess i'm not popular enough on tip.it yet. As for runescape I've been slaying, here's my tracker thing that shows you I havent died and quit rs but i've been busy and not gotten far with levels as they are far and inbetween at the moment. http://runetrack.com/profile.php?user=Lowc15

Consumables, Buyables, Raw Materials Discussion
As you all know with the release of the grand exchange and skill capes consumables have declined somewhat, buyables have skyrocketed, and Raw materials have rose exponentially. All sorts of new methods to training these skills and harvesting the materials to train them have changed loads in the last few years making some methods obsolete and new methods have taken the place of the outdated ones. Lately the skills that have been majorly overhauled are Fishing, Mining, Herblore, Ranged, Hunter, and Woodcutting. Fishing has seen the addition of Rocktails and Cavefish which have made it so much more profitable in terms of bringing raw materials into the game and increasing the xp per hour of the profitable method that players will take to earn money rather than click and drop. Mining has seen a major change to training at 77+ with the living rock caverns. Now making mining afkable and allowing players to make over 50m on their way to 99 with gold ore. The downside has been the flood of gold ore into the economy making it less valuable and making smithing somewhat cheaper using goldsmithing gauntlets. Herblore has seen the addition of new potions such as extremes, and overloads. Completely changing the way people boss hunt and slay and turning the herblore market upside down. Now farming herbs and doing mtk has become great money makers for the average scaper. Ranged became much easier and became a buyable when hunter was released. Chinchompa's are now the best method to reaching 99 fast and efficiently. But it also comes at a price. Hunter has seen the addition of catching butterflys for insane xp rates, and new implings that carry Royal clothing has became a way to make insane money and street value. Lastly the one update that upset me the most, the woodcutting rebalance. Now you can get xp/hr comparable with power cutting teaks by chopping ivy. It brings nothing into the economy other than nests but allows you to afk in exchange. What I think would be interesting to discuss are these changes to the game and the market of consumables, buyables, and raw materials. I remember long ago when people sold their rares only to get buyable skills with the release of skill capes. Now that the rares market is booming and the addition of these updates I've just highlighted on with the exception of stealing creation which I haven't discussed yet. I have noticed some buyables have became cheaper such as smithing, and others have skyrocketed. Let's discuss the prices on item's related to this and the game economy that deals with this. New methods such as superheating while you smelt and superheating while mining in the living rock caverns and other new training methods can be discussed also. To sum it all up, I'm wanting to make a thread to talk about methods and items dealing with skilling, buyable 99's.

Who Am I?
I found the game to be easier to burn myself out on when I grinded levels. Now I'm slaying for a couple hours each night after work and occasionally monster hunting on the weekends when I dont have plans and I love it more than ever. I think slowing my pace at this point in my time of playing rs has made the game more relaxing and if I do ever become bored of all the other skills in rs I'll work on 200m fishing and slayer as they are my favorite skills. And I thought it was a nice read saru, does have discussion value so I don't think it belongs in questionaires.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Oh well I'm back to slaying. Grats on the axe.

99 Slayer. EDIT: 99 Summoning.
I'd make a long story that rhymes like saru did but that would take too much time. So i'll just cut to the chase and give you a 10/10. Grats, slayer is one of my favorite skills also and I know how hard it must have been to stick with it for so long.

Will Jagex reply on Monday?
By adding stats I meant making them have a prayer bonus or something to give an added incentive to increase their shop price on par with the other capes. I understand why people are frustrated but I also can see past this update as it doesn't really affect me one bit.

Will Jagex reply on Monday?
Start stocking up because the logic says that you might become a millionaire when Jagex thinks logically like yourself. I hope that sarcasm was directed at Jagex not me. The legends cape example is supposed to show how asinine this whole update is. But if they update legends capes they will give low to mid level players a decent cape and if they give it a stat boost overhaul they will make that player base happy. That is their target player base. Jagex is in this for the money, not to make everyone happy. The person they want to get the money out of is the low level to mid level player which all these asinine updates are targeting. I understand their logic, I do not agree with it as I make up the minority player base but I see their point from the business stand point. I will quit runescapes sooner as they can only go so far with levels until they increase them to 120 as I foresee them doing. But if they target the low level to mid level player base they will make more money in the long term outlook. That is how I see this all.

Level 85 Smithing!
If you didn't have skills at 200m xp I wouldn't have rated you much higher. 6/10. Yes its a notable achievement but it is a somewhat fast skill and the living rock caverns has made it somewhat easier. I hope to see your 200m cooking with wines on your pure pan out also.

Tip.It Times - 27th June 2010
Your adamant on getting them suspended lol. I would say they are probably laughing over people flipping out over the economy after they witnessed the economy survive the 26k tricking and 76k tricking and all that stuff before it was some what fixed. Yes the economy is inflated to some point but I would rather it be inflated than be in a depression. I remember the day construction was released and my items almost became worth nothing. People were selling rares dirt cheap and everything was tanking for the race to get 99 construction. I don't want to worry about my items falling so why not deal with all this supposed inflation and let jagex jack with the economy. I don't like it, but I understand in life the head hauncho will do what they want to do and not what the people what them to do. They are in this business for the real life gp so they will look past the little complaints such as this and focus on getting more customers and not keeping the ones who criticize trivial things.
