the only real thing you need to know is that eggs do different things and the monsters look different to get back into it, but then hard mode is completely different from normal mode so it's like why did they even bother when you're gonna shove the player off a cliff anyway normal mode doesn't even come close to preparing you for the madness that happens in hard mode, like enemies suddenly gaining adrenaline and the coordination to pile targets, healers that require 8+ hits with food (and being given exactly 1 more hp than it would take to kill it cleanly) getting ai that makes them run away to the far edges of the map all the way outside the view of any player (emphasis on being able to run which means that chasing them is as nigh pointless as attempting to heal a player that is for some reason, running away from you while you're trying to heal them) or stack in one spot on top of each other while clinging to an enemy, and runners self destructing without any kind of previous warning (AOOOOGAH), which will immediately kill any expert defender that stacks the runners and doesn't run out of range of the explosions (or anybody else for that matter, such as a healer trying to help the defender) nor does the tutorial board cover this, and the king manual is intentionally vague and doesn't mention things like people reading scroll words too early prevents the king from dropping scrolls for a good 10 or 20 seconds (or hell, that you're SUPPOSED to hit the invincible, not taking any damage boss to get scrolls while the game immediately says that your attacks aren't having any effect in order to distract you from the scroll's dropping), or what the [bleep] the poison meat dispenser does or that it actually exists, and that only some roles can use the anvil but the other roles aren't prevented from picking up buckets the game fully intends to kill you several times to teach you, but makes you endure an entire enemy wave every time just to get to the point where you start being able to "learn" (die) this scenario begs for people to exploit flaws in AI patterns in order to simplify the entire thing (like encouraging healers to corner themselves in a stupid location where they can't run or grouping attacking enemies into clusters to be egg bombed), but as soon as people find them it is likely that jagex will decide that it's against the spirit of the game (aka what they think is the "right way" to play based on their limited understanding of their own game and playerbase/complete lack of ability playing their own game) and screw with the design to make it annoying again

when the insignia is charged up, it acts like two rings of wealth man, such progress, it's like we have more than one finger or something i think the other insignias are worth getting too because if you're doing five penance king kills, you're gonna have enough rounds to max out every role and then some, and it doesn't hurt to have some combat based pocket slot items (esp when you could use some extra protection in future ba runs) healer insignia gives a big ol 10 prayer boost in your pocket regardless of being charged or not (the charged food bonus ain't really that much) attacker insignia randomly applies dot to your attacks defender insignia adds armor as if it were an extra armor accessory piece (and doubles it if you're using a shield) edit: just checked, doesn't stack with row

I was goig to post about the push notifications when logged in. Its kind of funny, but obviously annoying in the long run. well, if they didn't bother to fix this in their actual game, hell if they can figure out how to do it for their mobile app

figures that the first time monsters start getting their own adrenaline, you can't pray leech adrenaline to turn it to your advantage/protection

the law of the land seems fairly lax though, it seems like guards only exist to provide you with more targets than to actually protect anybody it only protects other adventurers and they're just as bad as you

since the current way to switch styles for ba attacker are abilities, they are still subject to global ability cooldowns which interrupt most attempts to use them during revolution

several suggestions that will never happen now that they think they fixed BA: - make it so that healers can just equip the food and then smush it into the penance healers' faces by left clicking instead of having to right click the same damn option while a pile of 8 other enemies are sitting on top of it - anybody who is not an attack should not be able to attempt to attack anything. anybody who is not a healer should not be able to attempt to feed a penance healer or heal other players. anybody who is not a collector should be able to attempt picking up eggs. anybody who is not an attacker or defender should not be able to pick up buckets or even attempt to do so. ARE YOU GRASPING THE GIST OF THIS? - penance healers shouldn't be able to heal each other - make heal the first option for other players so that you don't have to navigate a gigantic right click menu to save them (make healing players the left click priority because selecting a target to attack doesn't have to happen right away) - signal when a shift is about to happen - when the king appears, REMOVE ALL OF THE DAMN EGGS WE CAN'T USE THAT ARE CAPABLE OF HIDING SCROLLS AND BUCKETS - add your own damn hp bar next to the other player hp bars so that you don't have to look all the way down away from their hp bars to know when you're getting piled in the mass of chaos (also clearly label which one it is) - stop revolution when somebody clicks away - things that shouldn't be able to hide under other things: exploding penance spawn, healers, scrolls, the people that you are trying to save from doom (especially the attacker and collector, whose red or yellow ring looks EXACTLY like a targeting ring) suggestion: make role markers float above player heads like sims - please do not make elements that are part of the main screen clickable because people will accidentally call out scrolls while trying to flee - EQUIP ALL OF THE ROLES WITH THEIR GEAR FROM THE START - THIS INCLUDES LOGS FOR FIXING TRAPS

tbh, i preferred the horn over the ability bar because i don't really have room on there to be messing around with shouts as for helms, i kinda doubt they'll crash any harder than they did before RoW, on the other hand.... not cool, guys

this is the main reason for almost all of the tension in every group you meet in runescape the eastern lands were pretty refreshing in that it's good ol economic and military oppression

it's not that void because obsolete due to new equipment or combat system changes, they took it out back and shot it in the stats manually after they saw everybody using it with the return of legacy days after they added a void points upgrade for it which does almost nothing in the post legacy armor system it's like they fired everybody that knew how to make stuff for runescape and replaced them with generic abc channel scriptwriters like they did with community

the "people are lazy" argument wears very thin when i am old enough to recognize that there are design flaws in the game pertaining to effort versus reward and the motivations for performing tasks become twisted beyond what their original role was meant to be if you need to line your game's features with superficial bait in order to get people to use them, doesn't that say something about the game? the comp cape's benefits have almost nothing to do with beating any bosses besides the one that grants items related to it you could own all of the individual components of it for months and still be unable to use any of them together, due to an artificial barrier that says "you're only worthy of being able to use things you already own, together, once you jump through these hoops" i like the concept of the comp cape, but the way it holds actual benefits hostage (instead of being just a prestige item) just encourages more of the same bullshit that makes rs so toxic
