  5. Devil Stick Devil stick (also Devil Stick, devilstick, devil-stick, Rhythm Stick, etc., or plural forms) manipulation is a form of gyroscopic juggling, or equilibristics and is generally considered to be one of the 'circus arts'. Sometimes called "devil-sticking" other terms often used are: "twirling", "sticking" and "stick juggling". A "set" of devil sticks is made up of three pieces - the baton and two control sticks - but it will often be called a "pair of sticks". Typically if a center stick is not tapered (i.e. a straight dowel or rod) and possesses tassels at its end, then it is known as a "Flower Stick" (as the tassels, when the stick is spun, will twirl outwards and resemble an open flower). This term is also now used to describe a straight center stick with any weights (not just tassels) at its end and sometimes refers to hybrid sticks which are both tapered and have weights. Tapered sticks without end weights are known simply as Devil Sticks. Flower sticks can also be properly called "Devil Sticks" as that is the more general term. [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devil_stick ] Devil Sticking is an old hobby of mine and I thought it would be cool to share this kind of thing with you guys. You can learn the basics in a couple of hours and from there the possibilites of advancing further is endless. A basic Devil Stick kit (the control stick and the button) starts at around $15 but you can even make it by yourself! It can give you hours of fun so it's very well worth it. :) It also improves your balance and coordination skills. Well, enough of the talk let's get to the pictures and videos! : My sticks: (As you can very well see, one of the control sticks broke on my older one, and it was quite used too already, so of course I had to get a new, (and a better) one. :) New one (messed around with the camera) :) Other devilstick pictures: Dude using Fire Devil Stick: Pro Devil Sticks: http://images.google.hu/imgres?imgurl=h ... l%26sa%3DG Videos: If you have questions or anything else on the subject feel free to post! :P

I couldn't say yes, but it does have a TOUCH SCREEN! *Twitch* What's so great about the touch screen? In most of the games it isn't even used properply. :| But then again there's Metroid Prime Hunter *twitch* that makes me want to buy a DS.

There are over 700 titles, I'm sure you could find a good game. Do you think a DS would occupy me for longer? :?

I imagine the gamecube version will be quite different to the PSP version.... PSP = Better functionality, better internet capability, better graphics, vidoes / music, endlessly expandable memory. Battery life is short, its a lot more fragile than the DS DS = Better game library overall, touchscreen is nifty, does not feature as many functions as the PSP, battery life is better and it is a lot more durable. However If you're prepared to take the risks of doing the homebrew approach then a PSP is much much much much much much much better.. and when the slim comes out... Imo that wins hands down. Video out will make it the best handheld ever because it basically becomes a portable PS2. Also, if you want a great PSP game that will occupy your time. Monster Hunter Freedom, (1 and 2) The best single player RPG I've played in ages. By far the best of its kind i've ever played. Thank you for the long and informative post! :) I know about this "homebrew" scene, but what exactly does it do? You downgrade your system so you can play older games? Why would someone do that? Or you can play your own softwares? Are there any real pluses for "homebrewing" a PSP? What kind of things can you do with a downgraded PSP?
  16. Nice to meet you... (I only browse OT) 1/10
  17. about 30,000 feet I think I heard about a story of a guy who catapulted from a plane but the parachute didn't open and he fell on a tree and then on snow and survived. I'm guessing that'd be it.
  18. They drank more? What I have noticed is that Rowling chose to ignore that before the Polyjuice potion only changed your looks, not your voice.
  19. Haha, I meant a type for you, not a generalized type. By example, you like big noses, round faces, almond eyes, playful and funny personalities, long-term lifetime commitment, and so on, thats your "ideal" type. I can't really define beautiful can I?
  20. I don't have a "type", people can't be asorted in groups like machines. I fall in love at random. [/romantic]

Woah thanks for the loads of comments, I really appreciate it. A quick question: So with the new TV function the PSP Slim basically contains a PS2?
  22. Is it possible for a plane to take up on a giant treadmill?
  23. I recommend you getting it, but buy it on Ebay, hella cheap. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. But why I should I get DS? PSP is targeted for an older audience, and I want to be able to use mine for a long time. The technical abilities all outstand the DS imo. (The only thing that's worse is the battery I think.) I can also use the PSP for more things. Here are some games that came out for the PSP and the DS as well: One of the best selling DS games: One of the best selling PSP games: I just can't see why someone would pick the DS, but it's an open match for me, so tell my why the PSP is worse and I'll get a DS. Just don't go "OMFG ignorant idiot chek da effin gameplai" I don't want to get this thread locked.

I'm planning on getting a PSP, among with a few games. The genre doesn't really matter (I prefer Racing and First Person Shooters though), it's the gameplay and fun factor that counts. :) The games I want to get as of now: Burnout Legends Need For Speed Carbon GTA Vice City Stories - GTA Liberty City Stories (which one's better?) Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Call of Duty (? :| ) I'm especially looking for a games that have good online multiplayer options and graphics.
