No, that would be a giant [bleep] move. Put it as 27b in US dollars in foreign currency. edit: I'll do it up, give me a sec. South Slavic Republic Gold Tonnes: 383.6 US Dollars: 30,976,955,000 -- We can just use the US dollar as the standard trade currency, even though its essentially worthless irl, since most people here are American.
-
So can any country that has currency. The US could start printing money like nothing and screw over everyone as well. You can just peg 27b US dollars then.

Btw Arch my gold reserve is Romania's + Ukraine's, + the 5bil worth of gold I got from selling Romania's army + the 90 tonnes of gold I got for selling Ukraine's + another 27b in NOK. -- FETA begins negotiations with: Afghanistan Albania Algeria American Samoa Andorra Angola Anguilla Antarctica Antigua and Barbuda Argentina Armenia Aruba Australia Austria Azerbaijan Bahamas Bahrain Bangladesh Barbados Belarus Belgium Belize Benin Bermuda Bhutan Bolivia Bosnia and Herzegovina Botswana Bouvet Island Brazil British Indian Ocean Territory Brunei Bulgaria Burkina Faso Burundi Cambodia Cameroon Canada Cape Verde Cayman Islands Central African Republic Chad Chile China Christmas Island Cocos (Keeling) Islands Colombia Comoros Congo Congo, The Democratic Republic of the Cook Islands Costa Rica Côte d’Ivoire Croatia Cuba Cyprus Czech Republic Denmark Djibouti Dominica Dominican Republic East Timor Ecuador Egypt El Salvador Equatorial Guinea Eritrea Estonia Ethiopia Falkland Islands Faroe Islands Fiji Islands Finland France French Guiana French Polynesia French Southern territories Gabon Gambia Georgia Germany Ghana Gibraltar Greece Greenland Grenada Guadeloupe Guam Guatemala Guinea Guinea-Bissau Guyana Haiti Heard Island and McDonald Islands Holy See (Vatican City State) Honduras Hong Kong Hungary Iceland India Indonesia Iran Iraq Ireland Israel Italy Jamaica Japan Jordan Kazakstan Kenya Kiribati Kuwait Kyrgyzstan Laos Latvia Lebanon Lesotho Liberia Libyan Arab Jamahiriya Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macao Macedonia Madagascar Malawi Malaysia Maldives Mali Malta Marshall Islands Martinique Mauritania Mauritius Mayotte Mexico Micronesia, Federated States of Moldova Monaco Mongolia Montserrat Morocco Mozambique Myanmar Namibia Nauru Nepal Netherlands Netherlands Antilles New Caledonia New Zealand Nicaragua Niger Nigeria Niue Norfolk Island North Korea Northern Mariana Islands Norway Oman Pakistan Palau Palestine Panama Papua New Guinea Paraguay Peru Philippines Pitcairn Poland Portugal Puerto Rico Qatar Réunion Romania Russian Federation Rwanda Saint Helena Saint Kitts and Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Pierre and Miquelon Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Samoa San Marino Sao Tome and Principe Saudi Arabia Senegal Seychelles Sierra Leone Singapore Slovakia Slovenia Solomon Islands Somalia South Africa South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands South Korea Spain Sri Lanka Sudan Suriname Svalbard and Jan Mayen Swaziland Sweden Switzerland Syria Taiwan Tajikistan Tanzania Thailand Togo Tokelau Tonga Trinidad and Tobago Tunisia Turkey Turkmenistan Turks and Caicos Islands Tuvalu Uganda Ukraine United Arab Emirates United Kingdom United States United States Minor Outlying Islands Uruguay Uzbekistan Vanuatu Venezuela Vietnam Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, U.S. Wallis and Futuna Western Sahara Yemen Yugoslavia Zambia Zimbabwe

The SSR rejoins the trade alliance with Germany. On the condition that it be called FETA. Free European Trade Alliance. Easier to remember. That would be much better :D Here is updated economic map: [hide][/hide] Though I'm unsure why Arch coloured in Kazakhstan and Libya in orange for the last map...
-
You could, but then half your army would starve to death.
-
Try it.
-
Nah gold reserves are just a stabilization thing to peg your currency off of and hold so that your currency maintains its worth. .... Grim you can't change a trade alliance into a military one. -- The SSR leaves the FETD. I've also decided not to adopt the Europe (it didn't happen again, I can do this because I'm awesome). The currency for the SSR will be the Slavic Leu (SL). It is worth the same as the Euro. *sigh* The SSR accepts Scandinavia's 90 tonnes of gold and 27b in smelly USD. Sere better get his economy on track or I'll be distributing these as toilet paper.
-
Japan taking over south Africa... :wall: Fine, I will accept 1/10th (3 billion - 90 tonnes) worth of gold, and the rest in currency. Also, I am definitely not accepting USD. That stuff is worthless paper.
-
I thought all international trades were in gold? -- Oh and I didn't notice there was already a trade group for Europe. So, just ignore the European Trading Bloc (it never happened! The trade was a lie!). The SSR joins the Free European Trade Association (FETA). I say FETA because it is easier to remember than FETG. Just think PETA without the crazy!
-
I do. But Mather has already purchased them. You can talk to him about buying them.
-
Alright since Russia renegged on the deal, the SSR accepts Scandinavia's proposal. It can be half and half gold/currency if you want. You can pay over 5-10 years. So, 527 tonnes of gold, and 15b in currency.
-
How could 5b be 22 tonnes, and 27b be 879? Math fail? It's nice though. Now I have the guaranteed intervention of a super power if another country invades me :P
-
SSR agrees to Russia's proposal. Arch, how much gold did I get? -- The SSR begins phasing out the Ukrainian Hryvnia (currency) and the Romanian Leu, and starts replacing it with the Euro. There will be a bit of destabilization of the economy for a short period, but it shouldn't be too bad as Romanian and Ukrainian dollars weren't worthless and so can be exchanged for Euros fairly easily. The conversion will cost the SSR around 15b. Btw Grim we now share the same currency.
-
The aircraft alone are worth 10b. And cost more money. The point is that you can score a whack of military equipment for dirt cheap.
-
Grim bid 15 :P -- The SSR has issued free travel permits to citizens on Moldova. The government of Moldava has been assured that there will be no SSR control over their trade, and that goods will be able to freely travel through the SSR and into Moldova.
-
I vote 'no' for moderation. Big surprise there. Sere, you are the United States! Stop playing as 5 different countries. -SSR places an embargo on Switzerland -SSR goes back on the decision to lighten trade tariffs for trade with Russia, considering its despicable actions in Africa -SSR lifts the embargo on India SSR forms the European Trading Bloc, which unlike the TFTA doesn't support free trade, as that robs countries of a large portion of their income. Invites have been sent to all countries in Eastern Europe, as well as to Germany. Project UV, M&M, FW1, FW2, AK20xx all coming along good. Project Framework has started, and construction of dams and manufacturing buildings are already popping up all across SSR lands. SSR sends a diplomat to Russia to talk about joining together to combat smuggling and piracy in the Black Sea. Education reform is doing nicely, though since it is now in its early stages and there are not many recreational programs and centres around yet, many youths are hanging around doing nothing with their time. Crime has risen slightly, though the SSR police have been ordered not to use brutal force against youths during this time. 3 new nuclear reactors are being built across the SSR. The old reactor at Chernobyl is also being reconstructed and will be turned back on again. These reactors should supply a surplus amount of energy in the SSR. Precautions are in place for the solar flare. Backup data, turn off electronics, etc, etc. SSR condemns the recent actions by Israeli against the people of Palestine. -- Honestly, the highest bid for all the military equipment of Ukraine is 150 million? How pathetic. I think I'll just partition it off and sell it to African warlords. They're always looking for new toys to blow each other up with. [hide]3784 Main Battle Tanks, including 271 T-80, 6 T-84, 1,180 T-72, 2,215 T-64, . 3,043 AIFV and 8,492 tracked and wheeled APC - Armoured Combat Vehicles 205 Mi-24, 315 Mi-8, 42 Mi-6 - Combat Helicopters 1,128 - Artillery Systems 1 Foxtrot submarine 1 Krivak class frigate 3 Grisha corvettes 2 Tarantul II corvettes 2 Pauk corvettes 2 Natya I minesweepers 2 Sonya minesweepers 2 Matka missile boats 1 Zhuk patrol craft 245 Attack Helicopters 260 Transport Helos 40 Recon Planes 2 Refueling Tankers 70 Transport Planes 36 Tactical Bombers 36 Close Air Support Planes 36 Air Superiority Planes (interceptors) 80 Multi-role fighters 39 Training planes[/hide] -- Not entirely sure how to decide who joins the European Trading Bloc. I could say everyone does, but then I'd get yelled at. So, yea...
-
Better first offer :P -- Btw, to Icu. You paid what was it...21 tonnes or something in gold for the last batch of military equipment? Regardless of what Arch said that isn't that much for Russia. You still have roughly 600 tonnes of gold in reserve.
-
My horse dies, I buy a new one. My army is now 12,000 strong, and gaining.
-
For sale once again to the highest bidder: 3784 Main Battle Tanks, including 271 T-80, 6 T-84, 1,180 T-72, 2,215 T-64, . 3,043 AIFV and 8,492 tracked and wheeled APC - Armoured Combat Vehicles 205 Mi-24, 315 Mi-8, 42 Mi-6 - Combat Helicopters 1,128 - Artillery Systems 1 Foxtrot submarine 1 Krivak class frigate 3 Grisha corvettes 2 Tarantul II corvettes 2 Pauk corvettes 2 Natya I minesweepers 2 Sonya minesweepers 2 Matka missile boats 1 Zhuk patrol craft 245 Attack Helicopters 260 Transport Helos 40 Recon Planes 2 Refueling Tankers 70 Transport Planes 36 Tactical Bombers 36 Close Air Support Planes 36 Air Superiority Planes (interceptors) 80 Multi-role fighters 39 Training planes -- SSR starts research into a new variant of the AK47, which will be cheap and easy to produce, fire a higher calibre bullet, and be an extremely sturdy weapon (much like the AK is today). SSR has also loosened up on gun control, allowing citizens to own as many guns as they want by going through a background check, and taking to proper firearm safety courses.

Eh, whatever. Merge 'em or stick them side by side. Up to you.
-
Hey Arch you want to move Hegemony V1 here as well?
-
So who wins?

And I'd rather not see Arch buildup a large stockpile of gold, considering that last thing he tried to do with his was crash the entire economy of Europe.
