  1. Know about what?
  2. I ransom the lord I captured to the old king in the land of NO STRING for a pretty chunk of gold. I keep recruiting bandits and outcasts and mercenaries and farmers, shaping them into an army. I gain 8 skills in halberdry, 2 in riding, and 5 in strength (automation training, since I don't have enough time to devote to this). Also, I am GM of my world muwahaha.
  3. They sound like a Spanish dance.
  4. Sent you a PM. I think Rocco's ship numbers were stated a few pages back, though Arch will have to ask him what he plans on doing with them.
  5. A herald is a bloody messenger you nitwit. Please provide me with 1 single battle, at any point in the Earth's history, where a messenger led (literal definition) an army into battle. Besides, Thor isn't even the Norse God of war. Wikipedia entry on heralds:
  6. That would be Loki starting it and Thor being the herald. Heimdall was the link between the gods and the men, he was also the one to be the last surviving god, slaying and being sloughtered by Loki, thus ending Ragnarok. A herald is the one to lead one side into war. I get it, you're Norwegian. So am I. The difference is that I'm actually a pagan so I know quite a bit more about this than you do. First, a herald doesn't lead a side into war. A herald would be the one that would notify someone that a war is coming.
  7. Don't forget isolation. When you conquer a land, you want to split the people up in order to prevent nationalistic rallying. Plus, it helps speed up the process of indoctrination when the Conquered are intermingled with the Conquerors as they automatically become assimilated. Yea, the assimilation was the language part. Hard to find a word that sounds catchy there. Guns->Invasion Germs->Invasion/Imparting of diseases and whatnot (a la Europeans going to the New World and smallpox) Steel->Building Language->Assiminlation Learning->Indoctrination Most conquests in history have followed that path roughly.
  8. Guns, Germs, Steel, Language, and Learning. Generally in that order of progression.
  9. Well, that is what the Game Master dictated, and so logic says that since it's not in "the world" he can't sully my plans for conquest! However, since it's not in "the world" I guess the God's never got around to giving out names to anything, so everyone is named Char[5 random numbers] and they say "Invalid: No name in database" whenever you ask them where we are. It's a confusing place, but I marked the point I fell off the map, just in case. Lol, if it was me you would be asking if I wanted to steal anyone, neh?
  10. My merry band of mercenaries and I have attacked the manor of a rich minor noble in the country of NO ID / STRING UNKNOWN and taken hostage the man, and slaughtered his armsmen. I lose a knight during the battle due to the pox (pretty inopportune moment to die, stupid bloke), as well as 8 men-at-arms to actual manly wounds. Anyways, I make away with a captured nobleman and a wagonload of gold. I shall start buying the loyalty of various highwaymen and ruffians, and mercenaries, and turn it into a force that can capture the whole country of STRING UNKNOWN. En Garde vile peasants, your doom approaches!
  11. Just put them through my Multi-Environment training. All your lands were essentially on automation for the duration. 5000 PP is quite far past the line of ridiculous, Doom. Well then, you don't know Dusty that well, do you? ;) He's Machiavellian. He does what he has to do, even if it means backstabbing allies. Partly true. I try my best to refrain from attacking allies, though I have no qualms with it if I deem it neccesary. Besides, Retech isn't actually an ally of mine (sorry mate), we've just had common goals that could be achieved quicker if we worked together. I tend to pick my allies carefully so I don't have to end up attacking them. That being said, my fleet isn't heading to attack Retech. Maybe they're just out for a stroll. edit: I actually just went and did an internet test (hardly accurate, but whatever) to see how Machiavellian I am. I scored 88/100, higher meaning more towards subscribing to Machiavellian philosipy, and lower being more towards what I assume is tree-hugging idealistic dolts (they just said less Machivaellin but I think that's a cop out). Tbh I think the bloke got such a bad rep because you just need replace one letter with another and you get Mach 'the' Villan. Ye Olde Italians never did think ahead when naming their children. Surge in funding? You didn't say you were researching this at all. Hmm... I might adopt the fleet ranking system that you have, considering that the one I have at the moment is kind of weird. Aha! Thanks. Heimdall makes sense, he is the Norse God that will start Ragnarok. The herald of the last battle. :P --- Zz let's all measuring our production capacity [bleep]s to one another. PP I assumed was used both to build STUFF and to build SHIPS. So, if you're building some giant super mega collusus structure you can't also be churning out the same number of ships you did beforehand. Anyways. Ship production in TFed has halted, working on building a bazillion trillion momillion centipelliar google triple deluxe awesome space stations. There. Now, can everyone please realize that nobody really cares or pays attention to your PP and ship numbers and whatnot as long as the exist within the realm of realism. So, having a page of "I can produce more than you" "No" "I have super metal" "I mine asteroids!" is pointless. Project SW still putting pylons around TFed space, branching out towards Earth (they're heavily encrypted to prevent electronic tampering and whatnot, and self-destruct if anyone tries to "capture" one). I'll reveal them in a not-so-secret manner if the opportunity arises. They're mostly defensive, with some limited offensive uses (there isn't even a potato shooter on them). The research is on-going for these things, a la Ross' ARC laz0rs. Project SS/Kreigsmarine/Gestapo continuing. Project NRes starts.
  12. Yes well I can't remember what bloody flagship I put in it's place. Blasted memory. Do you remember which one it was?
  13. The Federation's Alpha Fleet has started moving towards a presently undisclosed location. Since ship numbers are kind of hard to hide, I suppose I have to give a rough estimate to everyone. Alpha Fleet is comprised of: -1 Flagship (Sa Matra Class) TFS Ragnarok -10 Ultra Battleships -20-40 Super Heavy Battleships -40,000-50,000 Battleships -120,000-250,000 Fighters Since internals are easy to hide, I'm not providing anything as to what they may be carrying.
  14. STOP OPENING WORMHOLES THAT LEAD TO ANGRY POWERFUL NPC CIVILIZATIONS PEOPLE. ffs Project SS/Kreiegsmarine/Gestapo still trudging along. Project SW still going - pylons across Federation space.
  15. Oi! I think I've been the recipient of enough mind boggling silliness in this game already! Go try and blow up Kajea.
  16. My men have attacked the town of Bum[bleep]sville, Nowhereland and taken 26 villagers hostage. They are being used to clean clothes and when they lose usefulness they will be used as food for the horses.
  17. Sure I can, because I hardly ever play so I'm not going to say I'm walking along and then one of the GMs suddenly says I get attacked by bandits. I have 4 Knights and 18 men at arms. Therefore, I can now automate my journey without having to worry about getting attacked.
  18. Along the way I meet a number of disowned knights and men at arms from a nearby battle, who are now lordless now that their lord was killed in the battle. They swear fealty to me (since I am awesomeness). I have: 4 Knights 18 Men at Arms
  19. *shrug* I just think it's a bunch of overkill. My Olympic games were to display military power and the unification of the Federation. Yours is to win medals and compete. Having an army marching around sort of detracts from the Olympics.
  20. Something that big is incredibly impractical for crowd control. The Yexenus troops have been sent to Earth.
  21. Oo I get soldiers :D
  22. Nero replied to Jeffwilson99's topic in Off-Topic
    Ramming speed! Yeah!
  23. Ahh. I have about a 1% growth rate presently, and I was wondering which of us had the lowest growth rates in the entire game. Certainly not I.
  24. Btw your people will likely go psychotic if they have a lifespan of 1000+ years.
  25. Shush you vile knave!
