So you're at -5m treasury? 10m for 50 galleys & 50 war cogs

he could just attack France directly I suppose... Doom, it's me vs 4 countries that aren't catholic.

Err. I'm Spain, Mr. Pope... I'm not arguing with you...

... Why is it that whenever an argument comes up on the internet, someone always just instinctively yells 'z0mg troll don't respond!!' And if it uses gunpowder then why would you start a 2 page argument before saying it didn't use gunpowder? Oh I know, trolling! Not really. The Aztecs were a tribal dictatorship with a limited range of technology. Spain is a feudal monarchy that is only behind in technology when dealing with this single ship. The parallels are definitely not there. How.

Of course not, because they were in completely different continents and had none of the means to replicate it. However, Spain and Crete is hardly similar to Spain and the Aztecs.

Exactly. So, we've advanced into the Renaissance era, so everyone will soon get Arquebus'.

Once Ironclads came into play then they became the ship of the technological time period. You don't read much, do you? What's visibility at? Is there fog? What time of day is it? Are we close to shore? How long would it take reinforcements to come up? Is the water choppy or calm? Plenty of ways that tactics in a sea battle can depend on the terrain. And no, I'm not.

*sigh* It's essentially a nuclear weapon. Has the same destructive capabilities of it.

I fail to see how a strip of land in Jordan can destroy a battleship.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
It's also largely effected by where the battle is taking place.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
So, you're saying Arch's technology revolves around him sending people over to place this weapon at a specific place on the ship in order to sink it? And no Mather, that would sink a ship with no crew and a [cabbage]ty hull. It's kind of hard to give my navy any sort of tactics when the information I get is 'the enemy fleet is...somewhere.'.

Really? A ballistic missile containing a few kilograms of plastic explosives will destroy this? You better get on the phone with the US navy's high command, because I have a feeling that this is news to them. I've had what...30 galleys destroyed so far? And each time they just go 'pop' whenever they are hit.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
Point me to some weapon other than nuclear weapons that was/is used to completely destroy a battleship of the technological time period in the span of a second.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
You had no idea it would work, but let it in? :s What I'm so annoyed about is that fact that there's some super weapon that can instantly destroy ships in the medieval era, and yet despite the fact that it's been used half a dozen times on me, and the fact that I have some of that tech, I'm still not allowed to know exactly what it is because 'it's secret lolol'.

I enjoy reading things of substance. If I wanted to read nonsense I'd go out and buy Twilight. Maybe next time use soldiers that you haven't sapped all the energy and mass from by starving them to death beforehand? Hmm Retech said they were 'in a trance', so yeah, zombie like. You think I decided the result? Because it's silly. He has like...shrapnel, which was invented in the 19th century. No, I at least try not to ruin the game for everyone with ludicrously advanced technology.

Ye Olde Hegemony
You sent 30,000 zombified Tunisian peasants (I thought you said you only had nominal control over Tunisia...why would they give 30,000 people to go fight Spain?). A couple weeks of attacking them and yea, 500 knights could take out that many. Talk in circles = You just dance around and provide useless analogies and irrelevant information until the person gets annoyed enough to let you have what you want.

It's because your technology never makes sense and you're either the moderator or talk the moderator in circles until they agree that your technology can uber destroy everything, thus killing the fun part of the game and ushering in the 'I build 20 super duper nukers and nuke the moon' era.
