You guys had a 10 page long discussion on it or something. I just went with whatever the majority was doing at the time, which was that production counter thingy.
-
So, in one sentence you insult me, then in the other you just regurgitate exactly what I said previously? Lol. I am a bit flabbergasted that you spent so much time trying to convince Retech not to do it, when you were the moderator and your job was to say 'No, you can't do that because it would break the game'. Instead you let him (hell, you expanded it 1000x, just to be a [bleep]) and then said, "well, I tried to warn you guys derp de derp". Everyone was using the system. You got mad because I had more production capacity then anyone else, because I had conquer/colonized more planets and had a larger population. Waaah. Btw, just to remind everyone. This game fails hardcore when there's no player vs player conflict, as NPC 'enemies' are just brushed aside and then everyone goes back to creating their perfect little utopia and eventually gets bored and leaves.
-
Yeah, your argument was that two people weren't posting every day, so you were justified in destroying the game. And a 2 page conversation trying to convince Retech... You were the bloody moderator. Because you do god mod? Not really my fault that I have the capacity to build 30,000 battleships a year, especially since I'm basing it off the production model that everyone agreed on. Btw, this is essentially me and Arch: Which one is who is irrelevant, since both believe themselves to be right. But one is saying 'I don't want the other to be born because he won't agree with me on everything' ZZZZ Btw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iORpLPmFfHU Hilarious (and not in any way related to anything above)

I don't hate Arch. I just think Arch is over-controlling and very petty in moderation against people that don't drop to their knees and grovel. (See: Arch destroying V3 because he got mad at Retech). The difference was that I built up an empire that was pretty much untouchable over the course of 150 something odd years. You just came in and said 'I'm the moderator so I get invincible ships and my people are untouchable, and since I'm the war mod all your attacks fail miserably and I kill your entire invasion force by throwing out a banana peal that they slip and fall and die on".
-
For not allowing the moderator to create a god-mode nation with god-mode tech. Yes, completely unreasonable. -- And fine, I will play the 'alien invaders', but I retain full control over them and set my own objectives. Actually wait, if Arch isn't playing then no, I won't play the stupid NPC aliens. If Arch plays, perhaps. Then I can just constantly attack Arch for being such a [bleep].

Mine is: Tip.It Hegemony Do what you want Don't be a [bleep] Don't baww when you get steamrolled by 100,000 tanks
-
Y'know, very few people actually believed the Earth was flat and that if you sailed across the ocean you would fall off. They just knew that the ocean was [bleep]ing gigantic and you'd sail out there and either starve to death or get om nom nom'd by the sea.
-
Saywutnow? Guess you learn something new everyday... Well it is...
-
Because nobody ever listens anyways and we end up with an over-complex amount of garbage that the people that do follow it end up spending more time keeping track of than actually playing? Honestly. I didn't play Hegemony to touch up on my Microsoft Excel skills, or my theoretical physics knowledge. I'm playing to do what I want, and so when someone says 'no you can't do that because you need x before you can make y, but you need 18 of z, and need to have researched a through to m and bought tech from player t, I just say [bleep] that and do what I want. Infinitely more enjoyable for me. And what bonehead decided to make members names show up as yellow? What an eyesore.
-
My thoughts exactly. If this game does spring up, I'll just ignore all the build points and tech research costs and resource numbers and do whatever I think is reasonable.
-
I hope you realize you were the worst offender in that one as well...
-
And no 'your real-life physics knowledge determines what technology your country can have' garbage.
-
It's dead because Retech decided to anthrax bomb the world, and Arch for some bizarre reason allowed it.
-
I give everyone 4 months of training. *Waits till a war starts* I convert all my trained people to soliders and invade with 90 million troops, and there is nothing you can do about it. I scorch the land, retreat my troops, and then use my air force and navy to disrupt/destroy your supply lines. 85 million soldiers starve to death/are forced to throw rocks. A hegemony in the Napoleonic era would be pretty fun. Dibs on Prussia!
-
With group moderation...
-
Bah! I retreat back to my kingdom to raise a new army. Next time we will advance with rock-resistant helmets on.
-
My army appears wherever the most people are and mobs them all to death...200,000 vs 4 weeeee!
-
Not all of them. ;) Anyway, that gives a good idea for describing social life in the Texan Republic: Rampant corrupt corporatism and over-consumption. Add this, along with constant anti-Communist propaganda, race laws, and prison brutality, and you have the components for a good story. So it's essentially just a story about Texas in the 60s?
-
So this thread is just 'Post stuff you thought was weird from 4chan'?
-
Yeah but Texans are fat.

...no. First Hegemony was way more interesting. The classic struggle of Good vs Evil, gogogo! Meh. Hegemony was the only game I enjoyed playing. Vetoed. Um. The games dead so your veto is meaningless. I vote yes for the inevitable 3rd incarnation of the Hegemony. Logic takes a backseat to not destroying the game because you got annoyed.
-
So...basically, instead of getting people mildly annoyed with you for telling Retech no, you decided to blow everything up so that you wouldn't have to deal with moderating? That's what it sounds like to me.
-
Because it's not like the game would have died eventually anyways. Because nobody would ever have done anything like what happened. I believe that was why there was a moderator, in order for them to say 'No, you can't do that, as it'll break the game'. Instead, Arch just decided that since he didn't like Retech he'd let Retech virus bomb the planet and get everyone mad at him. Zz

Anyways ty for killing the game Arch =D>
