Hard? No. They had it coming - and they deserved it. // Azvi.

HEY!  Your forgetting me!!! I have detail too and i can draw!!! :D :D I think mine are just as good as theirs. And vladmoney's! His are pretty good too minus the faces!! :D :D Although, it is true that many ppl are making pixel sigs (and many of them SUCK) Let them try and experiment with art. The real question here is. OMG, What is with YOU people?! You don't want people to experiment and draw?! Your hindering theyre abilities. Sooner or later theyre going to learn that theirs arent that great, and theyll stop by themselves. Let them learn. Dont try to play mother or father here. And still, abstracts are MUCH bigger than pixels still... And theres so many of them. Remember there were posts about them when they came out. SO give pixl sigs a break. At Jumister: Okay, Mr. Ego, sorry about that. But I have never said anything that people should "stop experimenting" with anything, just maybe tone it down a bit, and not post everything they make here, at TIF. I only post about 60% of all the stuff I make; I usually post the things I'm uncertain about. However, I can't stop them from doing that, no one can(except maybe the mods and admins), I'm merely sharing my opinion about it - they can post their pixel sigs, but in the end, I will look past and ignore all those posts, and I'm quite sure that others will do the same thing. So it will all turn into some... vicious circle, basically, and I'm pretty sure that that is the exact opposite of what the artist wants. One more thing, I don't really think that you can compare abstracts to pixels, since abstracts is the most common form of GFX. I can pretty much say that every GFX artist out there, have made at least one abstract image in their "career". And abstracts can have so many forms and shapes - I'm not saying that pixel doesn't (!), but here, at TIF, most people have forgotten that, obviously. You on the other hand, are among the minority who has an original pixel sig. Kudo's to you. At Jeppoz: Yeah, I've been using it for over 2 weeks now. o_o Okay, I have said this several times before: it was originally Huang/Silent009 who started making smiley sigs here, and about a year after, I unveiled the secret, of making a ball in Photoshop. :P So that's why I started making them..., and I frankly didn't see anyone except Nadril and ColAvanor making them. So that's news for me. I beg to differ. I still have no clue as to how I made my "Century Child" wallpaper - it seems like I worked on it for 6 hours, under some... trance or something. And everyone I've showed it to, adores it, and it probably is the best image I've ever made. Thus I consider that as a very "lucky strike". :P // Azvi.

I sort of agree with this. Too many people are making pixel sigs atm, and basically, 80% of all topics are pixel-related in some way. Some people called the "smiley-craze" era bad..., well, I was just about the only person who made smiley sigs then, perhaps 1 more - and I got complaints from just about everyone. Now look at this, just about everyone has a pixel sig now, and people just keep making and requesting them. It would be alright if only they differed from eachother, just they don't. They're all RS related, thus making none of them even remotely original...! The only pixel artists who I gets my raised eyebrow is Mixerxman and The_Jeppoz. If I were to request a pixel sig, these would be the guys I would contact. Because I feel that they are capable of doing much more than just RS related stuff, and they both have the details down and everything (unlike many others). That would be all. // Azvi.

what a hypocryte. you just "moved your greasy finger around" and still want payment. Anyways i just submitted mine free I didnt want payment. What most of us are just saying its not even worth my time to meet somebody, teleport/switch worlds or what ever just to recieve 10k But the thing that hit it right on the nose was the fact he said "good sig" In where a good sig would cost a few hundred thousand gp he requested a "good sig" and yet wasn't willing to pay the maker what he deserves. End of story Indeed I did. But what I meant was that they wouldn't make any sigs 'cause of the payment. They think their sigs are worth more than that... Btw, did I say I wanted any payment? No! But "the media-boarders" aren't too fond of people saying "u cn have myne 4 free, foo'", because that might increase their chances of winning the contest. Now, my question for you is, do you think I would want any RS money, if I didn't even play RS...? (note: I still haven't said I will make it for free.) Oh yeah, "hypocryte" is spelled "hypocrite". // Azvi.

Hey people, you guys know me... but you dont know WHO I am!
Azvareth replied to a topic in Art and Media
Uhh... why hell-o there, stranger... Am I supposed to know you, though...? Because I have nooo clue... :? // Azvi. -
What the hell are you all on about? You need more than 10k for moving your greasy finger around a bit? Give the guy a freaking break. Besides, 98% of you who "laughed" can't even make sigs worth more than a frown anyway, so shut the hell up, basically. It's you who should be laughed at, anyway, for suggesting that your images are worth any kind of payment. Ha-ha-ha-HA! There you go. Go rub it in. My respect towards the Media-boarders has just dropped down several notches. Get a [bleep]ing grip. :? Anyway, I gave this a shot... it's not much... it ain't pretty... but at least I tried: [img=http://img51.exs.cx/img51/7790/Brushedgrej.jpg] If anyone wishes to flame me, go ahead. You just managed to put me into the right mood. // Azvi.

Uh... I never asked you to rate my sig. And that wasn't a proper rating anyway, you just said a number followed by a word. Very constructive, indeed... // Azvi.

Teenage, yeah, that's what I meant. You can rate it, only if you back it with something constructive. Thanks for the feedback. // Azvi.

Piece - None. Concept - 9/10 - the piece evokes a sort of... underwater-cave type of feeling. Tentacles. Bubbles. Clams. Me likes. Colours - 6/10 - the use of colours could've been significantly better. I like the dark-green in it, but then you've added this gold-colour (to create a focal point?). I would suggest you to use a more... subtle colour, which blends better with the green. Blue, perhaps? Effects - 8/10 - Well, as most of you may know, I am a big fan of the type of effects 3D Studio Max can create. But in this one, there are so many effects flying around! Yet so little room to place them on! I can't really concentrate myself on one single point. So I strongly advice you to concentrate on sigs with bigger dimensions (300x150). I can almost guarantee you, that they will look really, really sweet. :) Text - 8/10 - The text is... well... it's OK. But instead of placing it in the middle, I would advice you to place it in some corner, gives us more room to observe the brilliant 3D-Studio-Max-effects. If you ever feel like making a wallpaper-collab. with me, let me know. :) Good job! :) // Azvi.

PS = Photshop - PSP = Paint Shop Pro. Open up MS Paint, instead... if you just want to paste it somewhere. // Azvi.

Heh, I didn't bevel it, though. I added, what I thought, was a nifty frame. >_< I used 2 stock photos of the same person when I made it, on which I applied 20 layers of brushing. :P And I see what you mean with the "clash", I noticed it when I had finished the piece - but there's really no way I can make it come together any better. I've really tried... As for the fonts... I thought they looked good together. But maybe you're right... Anyway, I doubt I will change anything on it. Since I'm really fed up with the whole image; I've worked on it on-and-off since May-somewhere. :P So, what you see is what you get, basically. Thanks for the honest input, Royal. :) // Azvi.
-
Royal, well... I'm sure the person could narrow it down a bit, if he can't be arsed to point out every flaw and whatnots in the image... Nadril, that's a good idea. But I'm not sure if it should be compared to others' work. Instead, I reckon it would be better if we compared it to the person in question's previous work. Because I doubt it would help him progress in any way, if we say "well, it ain't better that bla-blah's sigs, thus I give you a 4/10". Not the best example, but you get the message. :) And as I said in my post, you don't have to follow the manual, point to point, you can add your own options, too. >_< But if anyone has any other options in mind, that could make the manual better, post them. :) Also, before anyone says this, I am not implying that I think everyone will start using the manual, that would be impossible. But if some people starts using it, perhaps more will catch up on that... - and I think this forum would get so better if that occured. And, maybe, eventually the "one sentence"-spammers will belong to the minority (where they should).......... and everyone lived happily ever after... Thanks for the comments. :) // Azvi.
-
That wouldn't work, it would really look off-placed and clash against the gradient. :) // Azvi.
-
Yeah, that's why I asked. I'd have done it myself otherwise. :) // Azvi.

Well, I just had a chat with one of the mods, who don't think this should be made a sticky. And I don't plan to argue with that, so I will just keep bumping this instead. >_< Thanks for the input, Demoris. :) // Azvi.

Oh [cabbage]... I feel like such an a-hole now... but what I meant to say "to the left", but I was in quite a rush; had to come in time for clan practice! So, can you move it to the left, instead. Lol, you must hate me now. -_- But after that, no more changes. I promise! // Azvi.

This was going to be a huge indy-art concept image... I think it was something like... 1800x1024 in dimensions. But I never really liked the outcome, thus I narrowed it down a bit, added text, and voÃÆÃâÃâÃÂla: I don't see me using it sometime in the future, so if anyone wants it, you can have it. Same rules applies for this one as for my previous ones: won't change the "parallel" text, won't add any images, won't add any stats, will add your name. Must be used for a few weeks, too. Also, feel free to rate and comment it (it would be great if you used the "image-rating manual" I just posted :)). First one who posts and says they want it, gets it. // Azvi.
