Well, since it seems (at least to me) that some people are having a hard time rating images, they oftentimes just say something like "nice. X/10". I don't really know whether I am among the minority who considers that as blatant spam, but I sincerely hope I'm not. There is nothing constructive, nor enlightening, whatsoever in the word "nice", and it seems like the person who replies with it, just say it to say it, if you know what I mean... just so they say something, in order to not letting people think that you're intentionally making a spam post... now that would just be awkward, am I right? - Because seriously, a person must be able to maintain his/her not-so-well-conducted-and-spammy-post-count, correct? But then there's another type of person, the type who doesn't want to be like the one I just mentioned above, but wants to conduct a well-written and constructive rating, but they aren't sure how. Anyway, so I'm re-posting this sort of "form" we utilize at another forum. I thought it might be appropriate to post it here... but I don't know... I'm just sick of all the "one-sentence" replies, which has increased lately. So without further ado, you bringeth thee the: Image-Rating Manual Piece - The name of the graphic (if there is one). Concept - X/10 - Discuss the overall concept and what you think it's trying to achieve. Colours - X/10 - Discuss the colours used and how they effect the image. (i.e improvements that could be made etc.). Effects - X/10 - Discuss the effects used and how they could be changed or what you like about them. Text - X/10 - Discuss text if any was used and any improvements that could be made. Cuts - X/10 - Discuss any PSD's or cuts included in the image Here is an example: QUOTE Feel free to add more options, when needed. And here is the code to copy and paste for your convenience: CODE [b]Piece[/b] - [size=7]PIECE NAME[/size] [b]Concept[/b] - 0/10 - comments. [b]Colours[/b] - 0/10 - comments. Ugh's and wow's, so many replies! (doesn't that rhyme...?) I'm using my somewhat... unstable Win XP, atm... my dad sat at the computer from 8.00 PM to 1.00 AM - where the OP sort of crashed (a window poped up saying that the computer would restart in 2 minutes, and when it had restarted, the window poped-up again. Does anyone know what causes that?!). Then he went to bed, got up at 4.00 AM again, to fix the computer, sat till 8.00 AM where he had to go to work. That's right, I have a freaking super dad. :o Anyway, I want to clear out a few things, these sigs aren't for sale. I do not want any money for them. Period. They're free. Iw, that's awesome! Exactly what I wanted! Now, I just need two things changed: the shrimp doesn't look very... shrimp-like. Maybe make it a bit bigger and add a pinkish colour? :P The other thing is, that I'd prefer the background to be white; would be much easier for me to add the text then. Heh, well today my internet connection was down for several hours (damn Telia...) - so I decided to brush up on my abstract skills, in the meantime. I made 4, IMO, very nice sigs. All of these were made with Bryce and Photoshop 7.0: Shoot For The Stars: Whirlwind: Wireless: And my personal favourite... Visualized Sequences: Now I would like you to comment and rate them. :) Oh yeah, every sig except "Visualized Sequences" is up for grabs (I will of course wait a while, since I've requested a background to be made, already! :)) - the only thing I want from you, is that you use it for 4 weeks or more.
