Men rules for Women, read and heed
Isn't she gone? An 11 year old feminist is truely terrifying. By 16 she'll dress and look like a lumberjack and she's bound to kill a man at some point in life. :uhh:

The post I've waited years to make...
Bump for great update justice! I'm packing all my crap today (Saturday) and staying up until like 8 AM. Then, I'm going to sleep, waking up around 4 PM (hopefully) and we'll be leaving at 7 at night from my house, and probably leaving Minnesota around 8 PM. From there, it's a 14 hour, 5 minute night-drive to Kentucky...We should get there somewhere between 10 am and Noon on Monday. We opted to drive at night because 1) my mom wants to spend the extra 12 hours in Virginia, 2) you get better gas milage at night because your car runs cooler and 3) my evaporator coil in my air conditioner is cracked, and it'd cost $1,000 to fix it, sooo...I have no A/C, so since it's cooler at night, I won't need it anyways. :P I'll have one 14 year old girl and one 16 year old girl in the car with me, just to share the annoyance load, since my mom and her friend have to have the two younger boys, one is probably like 8 or 9 and one's probably like 12. :P So I *think* they get the bad end of the deal, but the one girl did say she wanted to ride with me so she could "totally jam out" and when I asked "To what?" she responded "Nickleback."...[bleep]. Not happening. :P So, I'll probably be gone from here on-out until August 18th. Have fun without me, I'll be back to update on how it was then. :P

The official World of Warcraft thread.
I've always had faith in Blizzard, but the release of this expansion seems like a 'panicky' "OMGZ! we have to release something so people don't get bored and go to WAR or something!" expansion. I mean, it's just a bit too soon to be announcing a new expansion. Them announcing it now means that it'll be coming out before next August, for sure. I dunno', I was excited about it, but I thought about it and asked myself...Why the hell am I excited? I'll PROBABLY never fight Arthas even though I do raid, and I'll probably never do most of the content. I just won't be able to. Maybe it's just time for a new game for me. :P I like WoW for how it plays and how it looks and stuff, but even though I'm iffy about how WAR looks visually, I'm thinkin' I might have to make a switch...I'm tired of the gear-grind, really.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
People who whine before they know the details REALLY annoy me because they're unable to think comprehensively and that is the basic "word" that people follow...the "Whiners" word. Because there are more whiners than there are smart people. First off, the Death Knight isn't the "First" hero class in the sense that they'll release it and it'll be the ONLY one - nay, I say that that's the only one they're discussing AT THE MOMENT. If you think about it, Death Knight is only one classes hero option - a Paladin. Maybe an Orc Warrior, but that's just too "selective", so I'm going to go with Paladin. Blizzard had always said being a hero class would be hard, so it'll probably be kinda' powerful, so they can't just give it to ONLY 1/9 of the player-base. They JUST announced the new expansion...Did we know all the details of TBC right off the bat? No. Infact, I'm surprised we know so much already. New skill? New class (essentially)? Seige announcement?! Over the next year, I'm sure they'll announce 8 more hero classes - one for each class. Edit: I may have to disreguard my above post... "Once certain criteria are met, players will be able to create a new death knight character, which will start at a high level." I don't understand how that works entirely, but it seems that these classes aren't going to be upgrades of old classes like we thought before, they're going to be NEW classes entirely. I really don't know how they're going to do this (what criteria to meet?) or how it'll balance out, but I'm looking forward to something fresh and new, especially such a cool class...A knight...That raises the dead. Pwn.

Britain Terror Suspect Dies From Burns
?? :? That wasn't a jab at Islam was it? There's no evidence that these guys were acting in the name of god. There are terrorists with purely political agendas, also... In any case, not providing him treatment would be inhumane. If they want to play dirty, then we'll fight them, but we don't have to do it without honor - otherwise we're no better than they are. Agreed - police don't run across a suspected terrorist every day. The more we can detain and interrogate, the merrier! Yes, it was a jab at Islamic extremists. They're [developmentally delayed]ed. All of them, no exceptions. And yes, I'd say there is good evidence religion played a part, considering the dude BURST INTO FLAMES AND RAN AROUND YELLING "ALLAHU AKBAR! ALLAHU AKBAR!"....

Minneapolis Bridge Collapse
Yea, I highly doubt they're going to find anyone alive now. Unless there is a dude trapped under all that crap in JUST the right spot, everyone under the debris is dead, and the death toll (6, I heard) will be higher. I talked to someone today whose father never came home that night and isn't confirmed dead, so he's still under there, and they know it.

GTA IV delayed to second quarter fiscal '08.
Me too, I mean, I wanted Assassin's Creed n' stuff aswell, but if I had to pick anything, this would've been it. I was looking forward to this fall because it was seriously, like...The Fall of the Gamers, or something. Originally, Spore was coming out in like May, then in October, now it's Fiscal '09, I'm hearing. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT? :(

...You're playing the game "wrong". I leveled my priest to 70 without doing a single instance. My main, a warrior, was leveled to 70 and I didn't do most of the instances. They're not necessary to level...They don't even really HELP you level. Sure, running an instance can get ya' some exp and rewards, but if you get a sucky group and wipe for 6 hours straight (I've experienced this - LBRS+[cabbage] group=WTFWASTEDTIME), then you've set yourself back. Get an instance quest but can't find a group? Abandon it and don't do it, then. If you're running out of regular, solo quests, then try to find another level-approperiate area, or grind for a level or two so you can get new quests.

Jake Brown- Anyone see it?
The reason he got up is because - thankfully for him - he landed on his feet just barely enough to slow him down enough so that when his hip hit, it didn't break. If he landed right on his hip from that height (what was it, 40 feet?) it would've shattered. No walking for him. Saw it on wwtdd.com linked from withleather.com linked from youtube. :P

Terrorism was nothing to do with this. The police have already rules that one out. I think he means it was one of the future targets of terrorists groups. No, he meant what he said, which was that he heard that this was a terrorist attack, and more will come. Quit being stupid, people. Everytime ANYTHING remotely bad happens, people always go "Terrorism?!" like little lemmings. You guys remind me of those seaguls on that one movie..."Mine? Mine? Mine? Mine? Mine?", but rather, it's "Terrorism?! Terrorism?! Terrorism?! TERRORISM?!?!!" At least Bush did his job well scary the [cabbage] out of people. There are no terrorists. There are Muslim extremists who blow [cabbage] up. Nothing "terrifying" about them. They're cowards.

China limits teenage gaming to 3 hours a day
Where you being sarcastic or horrendously stereotypical? Both. That's not nice :shame: . ...Yea, because saying an entire race of people are smarter than most is such a huge insult. Don't gimme' your PC crap. All stereotypes are bad, even positive ones, because they aren't true. But at least you weren't being serious (I don't think) I wasn't being serious, but stereotypes are necessary. Some of them may suck, but you just have to deal with it. Some may not even be true, but most of them are. Do all black people like chicken? Probably not. I'm sure there is one black dude out there that hates chicken. Are asians smarter than most? Generally, studies say yes! People need to learn the difference between stereotypes and racism. Stereotypes are usually hilarious, whereas there is nothing funny about racism, which is the hatred of another race, generally for no apparent reason, NOT saying "Lawlz, asians r gud at mathz." That's not racist.

I thought the same thing, but Rockstar has never missed a release date they've announced.

All I can say is "[cabbage].", really. Was so looking forward to October 16th, and now...It'll be, like...Another year after that. Argh. http://www.destructoid.com/grand-theft- ... 7368.phtml

Trade - ins
Yes, they have to make profit, but they're just flat-out ripping people off now. I sold my Xbox and like 5 games to Gamespot like 3 years ago, and they gave me around $170. I thought that was pretty fair. Last year, I sold them another Xbox and like 11 games - New games, not old, [cabbage]ty games, and I got $60. $1.25 per game, and $30 for the console. Just keep your stuff. Oddly, it'd rather have the crap sitting around collecting dust than to get ripped off.

Minneapolis Bridge Collapse
Uhh, I don't know how to describe it...Like I said, the damn thing just crashed down. I mean, it's not something you see everyday...I guess I was dumb-struck. My uncle and I just sat there like , it was really weird. I wanted to go to down and help people but everyone started backing up so we had to follow suit...By the time I was like "Dude, we should go down there and help incase some cars fell down there..." (we didn't see if anyone was on the bridge or not at the time), a state trooper had already arrived and was telling us all to GTFO his Interstatez, basically. I dunno', just too weird to really describe. It literally just fell the [bleep] down, nothing more to it. No warning, no shaking, no rumbling, nothing. Not that I heard anyways, and I was like 100 feet away with my windows down.

They're Chinese. Which means they're asian. Which means if they're desperate enough to play more than 3 hours a day, they just so happen to be smart enough to launch their own satellite into space, set up their own server and play from that. Because they're asian. And asians are smart. Get it? ....Okay, just [bleep] China.

The bible
Is anyone else just erked the wrong way when someone refers to the Earth as "young"? I dunno', maybe it's just me, but it sounds even more moronic than flat-out saying it's 6,000 years old, plus it screams "I watched Kent Hovind's moron-fests and now I know it all!" If you think the Earth is 6,000 years old, fine. But don't call the Earth "young". It isn't "young" in any sense...Apparently, it's the oldest thing you know of anyways. Saying that the Earth is 6,000 years old and the rocks just "appear" to be 50 million years old (your figure, not mine) by carbon dating because God made them that way is...wrong. You're claiming now that God is capable of deception, which he is not. Deception is nothing but an "evil" trait and nothing good ever comes from it.

Minneapolis Bridge Collapse
I was about 100 feet away from driving onto the I-35 bridge when it collapsed today. I drove my uncle to the cities (I live on Skyline in Mankato, south of the cities) today and on the way back, the damn thing collapsed. It was absolutely frightening to witness it actually happen. I seriously had no idea what the hell had happened...Since I'm not familiar with the area under it or anything, I thought there was like, a huge car accident involving semi's and stuff that knocked out a support beam or something, because we don't have earthquakes 'round here, so that was all I could think it was at the time. We had to take a different route home, obviously. Seriously, guys. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. It was too weird to have been scary, but I'm sure those who were on it when it collapsed were terrified. My girlfriend heard about it on the news and her mom was wondering if I had to drive on the bridge at all, and she called me up and I told her all about it and she was pretty grateful I hadn't gone over it when it took a dive. Seriously, I'm kinda' reconsidering everything about life, as cliche as it sounds. I mean, I could have gotten in the car and started driving 5 minutes sooner and died today. It's weird how a few seconds can be all the difference in life or death. It should also be noted that I'm pissed off that people even think of the word terrorism everytime something bad happens now. Yea, I know it's a possibility, but damnit, I'm tired of the government scaring everyone. There were no freakin' bombs, trust me.

Your funeral...
This is a popular question asked...The problem is...When is the last time you've ever heard of someone playing anything other than organ music at a funeral? Never.
