  1. The official forums, say what you will about them, are abuzz with talk of summoning and the rebirth of Zaros.
  2. Training farming has depleted my stock of laws, and I'm wondering which monsters would replenish it quickest.
  3. The same thing is happening to me. Are they tweaking the servers or something?

Only commenting on this part, because i have no idea about the second part of what you said, only in grade 11 university chem. I found my chem course to contain so much that we had little time for examples, and i had to learn from the text book alot, which i found really hard. My bio text book was easy to understand, but the chem one was too full of stuff I didn't need. Mind explaining the oxidation thing? (If you want) Tripsis: Ya, it relates to what I asked. I have no real plan for the thread, just kinda build on it as it goes along, and hopefully some people might learn some stuff to. Not to mention i hope this gets some science stuff out of the religion topics. An atom's oxidation number is its charge. For a molecule to be neutral, the sum of all of the oxidation numbers needs to be zero, and every cell has a set of oxidation numbers that it may have in certain situations.
  5. No prob- I usually wouldn't be so picky about it, I just want to save you the trouble of maybe having someone look it up, see your mistake and go "OMG YOU DON'T KNOW NUTHIN N00B" .
  6. Firstly, Lionheart, not attacking your post, you made some good points, I just want to point out that you said anaerobic bacteria are those that use oxygen. Actually it's the other way around (anaerobic meaning "without oxygen"). Most importantly, this is another moot point. We are, as has been mentioned, genetically predisposed to an eventual breakdown after a certain point. This point is when the telomeres have reached their shortest point. They shorten after each cell division. Simply put, after a certain number of cell divisions, the cell stops dividing. The content of the atmosphere would have no effect whatsoever on this. Now, Defender, since you do not believe in evolution, you do not believe in a species' genotype changing radically over any period of time, correct? This means that, if we as humans, today, have this predisposition to breaking down after 70-100 years, then however many thousands of years ago you think these events occurred, we were still predisposed to doing so. There is no plausible scientific explanation for what you are claiming. If you want to argue magic, though, I cannot, and will not, challenge your view. Edit: Also, Abraham lived to be 175 years old. You may be thinking of Methuselah, who lived to be 969 years old, according to your book.
  7. I would have a LOT to say on this discussion, but I'll try to streamline my points for digestibility. Firstly, Thomas Edison was a deist, not a Christian. Secondly, on the topic of extraterrestrial life. The odds are overwhelming that intelligent life outside of Earth exists, without even mentioning the fact that it is absurdly likely that SOME kind of life exists beside us- almost definite. In addition, the U.F.O.s "real or not" debate is fallacious. While I personally do not believe they are legitimate spacecraft, even if I'm right that does not speak about the truth of the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life. Perhaps they are only at our level of intelligence, and incapable of interstellar travel. Perhaps they are capable of visiting us but choose not to, or haven't found us, or visit us without us knowing at all. What I mean to say is, the U.F.O. debate is a moot point. Edit: Corrected my statement on Edison's beliefs.
  8. Alright, I didn't see the first post specifying that since it was made at the same time my last one was.
  9. Where would the extra 15% be coming from?
  10. Actually, .2 would be 20%. Your new attack level would be 85 x .05 (=4.25), 4 + 85 = 89. Similar for strength.
  11. I'm eager to see where this goes. :D
  12. My advice, get gems, craft jewelry (crafting EXP), enchant (magic EXP) and sell for a decent price (profit).

...Am I the ONLY ONE who thought of cabbage?
  14. Well, you could craft deaths and sell them to the Tzhaar shop for Tokkul, buy an onyx and sell that for some serious money... unless this is impractical, I haven't checked how many deaths it would take so the cost might not balance out.

Well, nuts. So much for that idea. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will give me 10 mil when they quit. Edit: Hm, how about bronze arrows? I hear so much about buying them in shops and then selling them, but if it's so easy to just buy them in shops the demand can't be very high, can it?

Just curious, since I'm looking for a way to fund new gear for myself and a friend, what is the demand for teak logs/planks like currently? They look like a good option since they supposedly cut faster than yews, and sell higher, but if I can't even find a buyer, then obviously it wouldn't be worth it.
  17. This one isn't entirely about ways to make money. I'm simply wondering how a lot of the higher level players got such fat wallets. I see 20 million in some banks, 30, 50, 100 even. I have 1 million and that was after a week of skilling and merchanting. I can't even imagine taking that to five. What's the deal? You guys in touch with Jagex or something? :P
  18. My advice would be merchanting and mining. I mined 1k iron and started merchanting coal, and over the past two days (between that and PC) I've made about 200k- a big deal for me.
  19. You can purchase purple gloves from a store in Canifis for 200 gp, I believe.
  20. Never even gotten one HYT. But my public chat is almost always on, so if you see me in-game, or are bored, say hello. 'Bout friggin' time I made some RS friends...
  21. He speaks the truth. Consensus is, you can't get it back.
  22. Does anybody know if this has affected the price of Glories yet? I've been meaning to get one, but I'm on a really tight budget right now...
  23. It won't be a big deal in a little while, most likely. If I'm wrong, though, someone PM me when I can pick up a D chain for 2K...
  24. Which, out of the berserker and warrior helms, would you guys say is better in general?
  25. I'm just curious as to where the best combat experience would be for me. My stats are clearly visible in my signature. Bear in mind I'm a Runescape hobo and have little money, so I'm in full rune with a Dragon long and a gnome defence amulet.
