I've got around a million xp to 85 slayer, and I was wondering if anyone knows how long it would take to reach it. I'm basically wondering what the accepted slayer xp/hr rate is.

i think you're taking my definition too seriously. This is not meant to be a precise definition encapsulating your activities in one word. There is a very different philosophy between the types of players. I am what ppl call an "xp hog", I do everything with max xp very nearly the bottom line. I believe this makes me very much a pure skiller. Now doesn't everyone do that you ask? No. When you pk, are you doing an activity that results in max combat xp per hour? no. When you merchant do you get any xp at all? Again, no. How about staking? Getting the picture? How about even relaxing by woodcutting and chatting friends? You are a valued player, no doubt. But are you hardcore skilling? I would have to say....NO. See where I'm coming from? I'm not the final authority on this, but I think what I'm saying is reasonable. Fine, i'll accept debate on this. This is a point of interest for everyone apparently. Note: btw, a friend pointed out that some of you seem to think I'm bashing skillers. This is not true, why would I bash myself?

what does it mean then? If you dont pk or stake or merchant...theres nothing else to do BUT skill. I consider combat training skilling. If this is the sticking point, then I can't debate that. Otherwise, I do infact believe that if you have a high total, and dont do the aforementioned activities, then you are in fact a skiller.

In one sense yes, but i was under the impression that those guys are skillers first, and fighters second. Zezima himself has stated that he doesnt waste time standing in banks or pking or staking i believe, so hes definitely a skiller first. edit: from tip.its very own interview...

about 15m in items to dharok at barrows (due to some bad luck and timing, such as ppl or npcs standing on top of me making it hard to monitor hp, and some other stuff too long to explain here). lost: guthans helm + spear ranger set abby whip assorted other items.

not including barrows, it's granite legs (after only 25 skelly wyverns ever!). best item ever gotten, not bought, was guthans spear, twice.

actually the thieving's quite good, at least for me. I can do a load of summer sq'irks in about a half hour, putting the xp per hour at roughly 80-90k. I didn't know it was that good for herbs, I'll have to try that.

Trying to get d chain and dlegs within a month (if i can just stop spending :lol: )

yeah i think you are right about the capes of achievement increasing demand for goods. Your theory about more money causing ppl to bid higher for items seems to make sense too...I have heard about Runescape's economy being paradoxical at times, so I wouldn't be surprised. Basically I was wondering because I need to know if I should shift my capital away from rares (my 1 santa, basically) and into high-priced armor and weapons instead, if this current trend continues.

Yes, I have heard those rumors, but I was wondering if there is anything to substantiate them. Also, I thought an increase in the money supply tends to lower prices. I am not the economics expert tho...

I was under the impression that hunter wouldn't affect the economy much though because it was such a cheap skill, and and that people don't appear to be making much money on it as well. (So that money is neither spent nor created from hunter.) Also it's been a while since construction has been out, shouldn't its effect be diminished by now?

I have noticed an interesting trend lately. For the past couple of months (<---not sure about this length of time) prices have been rising across the board for most high-priced weaponry and armor, while rares have fallen. I was wondering if anyone knew why this was. I was thinking that perhaps the new treasure trails have shifted demand away from rares, but I can't place why the trend for prices in weapons and armor to fall has seemingly reversed. Anyone heard why, or have theories?

my best drop ever is 2x guthans warspear from barrows, but if we are only counting monster drops....It's probably a 1M dragon skirt (old value). or maybe basilisk head? heard they are pretty rare too.
