The laptop dates back to 2001, would it be worth it at all to have it fixed, or just get something new with vista on it?

1 of the fans on my laptop has stopped working. Is there any way to fix this easily, or should I just get a laptop cooling pad? And could anyone reccomend one? Thanks!

Most laptop cases aren't the easiest of things to open. :? Compressed air is still by far the easiest way to clean the dust out, even if takes more than one can. Blowing air both forward and backward through both fan ports will do the best job. It may not get it all right away but it will break it up and still help get it out. Friend said to try a vacum.....anyone say anything against this?

Tried it, it just blows the dust into the fan, causing it to accumulate worse on the area.

Is there a good way to clean the fans on the bottom of a laptop? There has been dust accumulating, and I would like to remove it. Thank you.

That would be so ineffective. It would be a waste of time of money because any person can set up a new address, or name, as they mentioned.
