  1. I've heard that chinning nechryeals can be pretty good (about 180-200k exp/hour). You'd need to get your slayer up to 80 first, though you could do it with range.

They drop a good amount of crims and other charms, and supposedly you can actually profit from it, although I haven't done it myself.

There's some guides you can check out, here's a pretty good one.

  2. Woot! 97 attack & 126 combat ;D

Even though I'm not technically maxed out, it feels awesome to finally be the old max level.

I still remember way back in the good old days when it was rare to see someone over level 100, and how awesome I thought it would be to be level 126 :]

Also, for those who are interested (if anyone's reading this at all..), here's my tattoo!

It's not completely done yet, I have to come back for another session to finish the fill and clean up the lines.

  3. It's pretty basic, but there are a few little tricks you can take advantage of:

    1. If you can, use the lunar spellbook. With contact npc spell you don't have to run to the abyss to fix your pouches. DONE

    2. Keep your weight as low as possible. Since you'll be runecrafting for a long time, it's worth taking time to get a pair of penance gloves from barb assault if you haven't already, and get your hunter up to 66 for the spottier cape. I checked your high scores, and it might be worth getting a few agility levels too so you never have to stop and waste time restoring energy. I'll be using Energy Pots

    3. After you can use the giant pouch (85 runecrafting), it's actually more efficient to use only the medium, large, and giant pouches since using all 4 of them would require you to bank three times instead of two. I thought it was 75..?

Graahking is around 25-30k exp per hour depending on your concentration. Good luck! Thanks!

Oops, you're right. It is 75. Sorry bout that ;P

  5. Unfortunately the only inexpensive way to level your herblore now is to either gather herbs yourself or clean herbs for exp.

If you want to gather your own, your best plan would be to plant herb seeds in all 5 patches, checking every time they're fully grown, use your kingdom to gather herbs for you, and spend the rest of your time killing a monster with a high drop rate for herbs, like abby spectres.

Cleaning herbs can actually make you a profit, but it's extremely tedious and if you don't use mousekeys you'll probably end up with carpal tunnel.

Either method is going to be painfully slow exp at your level, though, so it's up to you to decide if you'd rather save money or time.

  6. I started to really make money when I began using kuradal. The exp seems faster, the money keeps flowing in, and it feels a lot less tedious.

I keep a spreadsheet of my tasks and the total price of all my drops for each one, so I can give you some averages of the tasks I do and how much money I get in drops for each. Keep in mind this doesn't include how much I spend on supplies and potions.

In order from best to worst:

    Black Dragons: 1,013,925

    Blue dragons: 733,786

    Living Rock creatures: 706,137

    Aberrant Spectres: 698,676

    Warped Tortoises: 654,413

    Desert Strykewyrms: 646,302

    Steel Dragons: 625,887

    Iron Dragons: 605,278

    Spiritual Mages: 553,782

    Waterfiends: 419,849

    Skeletal wyverns: 414,565

    Jungle Strykewyrms: 365,125

    Nechryaels: 358,117

    Fire giants: 317,404

    Gargoyles: 307,204

    Dust Devils: 190,260

  7. Here's my crude drawing.

    houselayout.png

It's got pretty much everything I need. All the stuff I use frequently is upstairs, and the less important stuff is downstairs. I am going to switch my study and combat room though, when I can stop being lazy about it ;P

Basically you want to have 5 things located near your portal:

    1. Portal room (Probably 2 portal rooms so you can have all the teleports)

    2. Chapel for restoring prayer

    3. Menagerie for restoring summ points

    4. Study for making teletabs

    5. Quest hall with a glory on the wall for unlimited teleports

The rest of the design is up to you.

  8. So i'm going for the quest cape.

My question is how long will it approximately take to get all the skills for the quests?

    I need these skills :

Herblore 59-65(boostable) Not sure about exp rates for cleaning herbs, sorry

Mining 57-66 If you've got 57 summoning for spirit kyatt and powermine iron with it, I'd say you can get somewhere in the range of 30-40k/hour. So somewhere around 8-10 hours. Granite will probably be similar rates if you choose to do that instead.

Smithing 55-69 This should only take an hour or two if you're smithing only. If you're going to smelt then smith your bars, I'd say it will be double that time, possibly more.

Magic 72-75 If you alch, it should be around 3 hours.

Woodcutting 64-75 Not sure since I've never done ivy, but I'd assume this will take a couple days. On yews it should take you around 22-23 hours, so since ivy is faster and doesn't require banking it'll likely be a lot less than that

Fletching 68-70 Easily done in an hour or two

Crafting 57-66 No idea about this since there's a lot of different methods, but I'd recommend buying and crafting battlestaves every day while you're training your other skills, and you should be able to get it by the time you've leveled everything else up.

Agility 54-69 Probably somewhere around 15-20 hours, so most likely a few days depending on your playing habits

Thieving 57-66(boostable) With pyramid plunder you should easily get this in a couple hours.

Farming 55-65(boostable) Do herb runs a few times a day while training your other skills, and keep planting some of the more inexpensive trees as well. Try maple/willows and pineapple trees.

Runecrafting 45-50 If you've got 57 summoning for the graahk, it'll only take you about an hour and a half. If you're using the abyss, it'll be slightly longer.

Hunter 62-65 Not sure what method you're planning to use, but this should probably be somewhere around 4-5 hours

Construction 50-60 About an hour making oak larders with demon butler. Might not even take you that long.

Let's say i will clean herbs till the required herb level and anything else will be done the fastest way.

Edited because the stats signature is not working due to draynor.net being unavailable.

Sorry for my english, i don't speak english fluently.

  9. Hunter is fairly easy and you can get 99 in 3 weeks playing 6 hours a day. You also make a few million selling the chins

I must be missing something, from what level? That seems insanely quick

    That's 126 hours actually, which is only ~100k xp/hr.

Even at 99 hunter I only average 80-90k an hour at chins. Exp rates at lower levels (especially before 80, when you can only use 4 traps) are significantly less.

3 weeks is definitely underestimated. Most people can get it pretty easily in a month and a half though.

  10. Finally got 85 slayer! Hope I get an abyssal demon task soon. I still haven't gotten a single spiritual mage task even though I've been 83 slayer for quite a while now.

    Oh well.

I also just passed 10m exp in attack :]

I'd love to keep playing but I've got to go get ready for work.

The next few weeks are going to be crazy, since I'll be working, graduating high school, turning eighteen, going to a ton of grad parties, getting a tattoo, signing up for classes at university this fall, and a whole bunch of other stuff. So I'm not sure how much I'll be able to play, haha.

  11. Whats annopying about Karamja?

Gettin 153 kudos, killing 100 rats and finishing Ratcathers looks rather annoying to me.

I already had 153 kudos when I did the varrock diary so that part only took me a couple seconds. If you haven't done enough quests then varrock will be a pretty annoying one for you. 100 rats doesn't take too long though.

Karamja has a few really irritating ones. Getting 100% on tai bwo wannai is tedious, plus you have to get a gout tuber to trade for a machete, which are rare to come by in the cleanup game and last I checked they take days to get on the grand exhange. You'll also need to plant a fruit tree and wait 14+ hours for it to grow, and go through 30 waves in the fight caves. Overall it just seems like the most tedious one. Also, a lot of the tasks are done far away from a bank so you'll do a lot of running back and forth.

  12. I need to ask you people how so many of you manage to obtain Bandos gear and Dragonfire Shield.

Those items combined cost nearly 70M gp and I just feel that is a big waste of money.

You're right, they are a waste of money.

Personally, even though I could afford bandos & dfs if I wanted, I don't bother with either.

Bandos does have a nice strength bonus, but it's just not worth 50m to increase my max hit by such a small amount.

And dfs has always been a waste of money. Rune defender beats it almost every time, except in specific situations like wyverns and such.

  13. Catching a karambwan is pretty simple. Copied from tip.it's fishing guide:

"When you have completed Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest and have the appropriate fishing level you can catch your own Karambwan which heals 18 each if cooked properly. First you need loads of Karambwanji for bait. Use a small net to catch them in the lake just south of the Tai Bwo Wannai village fire ring. When you think you have enough, grab your vessel and head across the log bridge and up to the north shore. Use a Karambwanji with your vessel to load it, then click on a fishing spot and away you go! Remember, you have to reload your vessel after each catch. Players who have at least started Fairy Tale Part II quest to access fairy rings, can use code CKR for the Karambwanji lake, and code DKP to reach the Karambwan fishing shore.

Note: If you've lost your vessel you can buy a new one from Tiadeche in the village; he will also buy raw Karambwan from you. "

For the gem trading, you'll need a goutweed tuber, 300 trading sticks, and 3 opals. You can buy all of this on the GE, but it might take a while. Gout tubers are annoyingly hard to get, so you might have to do jungle clean up until you find one.

To be champ of the fight pits all you need to do is take a friend to the fight pits and find an empty world. Kill your friend and you will be the champion.

As for the last one, you'll have to gear up and head into the fight caves. You'll have to get through 30 waves until you finally get to a Ket-Zek, so come prepared. I recommend bringing a rune crossbow & broad bolts, black dhide, guthans, and a few sara brews/prayer pots. Check out a fight caves guide for details.

  14. 1. No, do not use rune helm for slayer. Unless you're required to wear a certain type of headgear for a task, always wear a black mask. Ok, I have a Black Mask and will use it for now.

    2. Obby capes are pretty cheap these days so you'd save yourself a lot of time and money by just buying one. Ok, I was just hoping I could save some gp for other equipment by buying it with Tokkul.

    3. Obsidian shield is not a bad temporary choice since it has a decent strength bonus. I'm going to guess this also easier to just buy instead of earning Tokkul for it.

    4. Don't bother getting a full set of barrows for slayer. You'd need to wear the helm and weapon to be able to use the set effect, which is a waste since all the barrows weapons are slow and you're better off with a whip and black mask anyways. If you'd like to get matching top & bottom, do either torags or dharoks. Verac skirt is slightly better though due to the prayer bonus. I've been told full Guthans is good for healing on Slayer assignments. I wouldn't use the whole set at all times, just when I needed the LP.

    5. You need to finish the entire recipe for disaster quest to get to barrows gloves. If that's not an option, look into buying a combat bracelet. I will have to looking into the full requirements for Recipe for Disaster and see if I can do it. Otherwise I guess it's a Combat Bracelet unless someone else has a better suggestion.

Tokkul takes a while to get. You're better off buying them, since you'd waste all that time trying to get the tokkul when you could be slaying and earning money instead.

For your gloves, see how much of recipe for disaster you can get done. If you can get adamant gloves or better, use them. If you can only get up to mith gloves or less, go for the bracelet instead.

Guthans is a very outdated method of healing. You can still use it if you'd like, but the best thing you can do is get your summoning to 68 so you can use a bunyip. It'll remove the need for food on the majority of your tasks. Another thing that helps with healing is to get the enhanced excalibur from finishing the seer's achievement diary. The special attack heals 20hp and increases your defense equal to that of a super defense potion. I use it frequently with my bunyip, and I never have to bring food on a task.

  15. If you don't have quite as much to spend, you could try this setup instead-

Head: Slayer helm/black mask I'm working on getting the Slayer Points necessary for making one. Is a Rune Full Helm a sufficient substitute for now?

Cape: Obsidian Would be better of buying this from another player or doing a combination of killing TzHaar monsters and semi AFKing Fight Caves?

Neck: Ammy of glory It looks like this is what I'll get.

Weapon: Abyssal whip I already have one.

Shield: Rune defender I'm working towards getting one. What shield would be best to use, and not cost much, in the mean time?

Top: Torag/guthan/dharok's platebody (all have the same stats, so it's your choice depending on looks/price/etc) I will probably get a set of Barrows, I just have to decide which one.

Bottom: Verac's plateskirt Would I be better off mixing Barrows equipment instead of buying a whole set for the bonus?

Gloves: Barrows gloves (from recipe for disaster) Do I have to complete all sub quests for Recipe for Disaster to buy these?

Boots: Dragon I will get these.

Ring: Wealth/warrior/berserker (again, it's a matter of ]personal preference and how much money you have. Berserker is best but costs the most) I'm leaning towards the Warrior Ring, unless I get a better suggestion.

All of this should cost you somewhere around 8-13m depending on your ring choice.

Alternately, if you're really on a budget, you could switch the platebody and legs to rune.

    1. No, do not use rune helm for slayer. Unless you're required to wear a certain type of headgear for a task, always wear a black mask.
