  1. Nothing major, they've bound people to one registar and they put all high levels in the highest one. As a result, people who've been stuck with 1900+ ranks are now able to find open tournaments again. :D
  2. I feel stupid for arguing with you, but have you ever realized there is more then Runescape then updates. You make it sound like updates are the only thing you're interested in, in this game. There is so much more! BTW, people with a positive attitude are also a lot happier then those with a negative attitude. You should try it sometimes. The problem is not about level of enjoyment for playing the game, but it is a question of what the hell we are paying for. If you buy Oblivion for Xbox360, it comes with a set ammount of things to do. You pay for the game, you get the game, you pay a limited amount of money, and get a limited amount of game. With a game that requires a subscription fee, you obviously are paying for more. It isn't like you can spend 30 bucks, and get to play RS for as long as you want to. You pay for it. Why? Because it is expected that more work is going to be continually put into the game. What Libs feels is that the amount of work and inginuity displayed by Jagex is rather lack-luster, and Jagex could afford to be providing a better quality of service for our continued payment for this game. Hell, Team Fortress 2 is a 20 dollar game with no monthly subscription fee, and although the team does not update it on an extremely regular basis, they have provided amazing additional content AND bugfixes to the game. For no additional money per month. A million players give Jagex 6 dollars a month and well, sometimes you just have to wonder where it all goes. Either they are profiting like bandits or they are overpaying their employees for the quality of innovative thinking. But then what is this? Isn't this an update? I don't see the complaint of "no big updates". She said this month is horrible. In the exact timeframe of a month, we got: Duel tournaments rework (huge update IMO, finally I can play it again), Ardy diary, anti 76K'ing, Helloween, RSC classic, new champions, new hairstyles, adventure logs, new spells, extreme potions back to some safe minigames and an RC update. Of course not everything appeals to everyone, but that seems like some impressive and big game changing updates to me. What do you want to be satisfied? A WGS like quest or new god dungeon every month?
  3. Even if you'd be stupid enough to waste the +10% extra damage on 60 per cast, it still costs 936 gp/cast. Which is 8 gp/cast higher then the guthix spell.

  5. It's always the final post of the page after you just posted. :P
  6. If you got them yourself, that's very cool indeed.
  7. So are fire titans. Jagex is weird sometimes.
  8. Huge congratulations!  Original last 2 skills too!
  9. I can't imagine anyone paying 150K for a fire titan. Must be an error/typo on Jagex' side.
  10. Thanks for your notification, however getting all these images is a huge amount of work. So unless some of the old graphics make it hard to determine the exact spot, we're giving this low priority. Therefore I'm locking this. If you have a valid reason some need to change immediately (like the exact spot being unclear with the current graphics), feel free to make a new topic.
  11. What's so awesome about mammoths and lizards so they keep coming up everyone once in a while? They're just a bunch of animals, nothing special.
  12. I hope people with the bad comps won't suffer from this (*looks sadly as his own comp*). Besides that, this can't be anything but a good update.
  13. Well, his defence lowering seems pretty rare, only hits me once every few rounds and level 86 instead of 92 defence doesn't matter much. And he never lowered my strength and attack below their normal levels, as that would need more then 3 lowerings in one fight. Maybe my slightly higher levels (especially magic), compared to yours is the cause of this difference.
  14. This is the first time I heard anyone claiming the helms are the rarest items. I assumed all items were equally rare, with that assumption, the average item is worth 1480K. So appearently, I made another calculation error somewhere (as I initially thought the average items was 1640K). Guess that teaches me not to make new topics or calculate stuff late at night. I recalculated the profit at a little more then 1M/h, still pretty good in my opinion. I already substracted the costs of ammunition, runes, etc. so this 1M/h is pure profit. As you said, I didn't take degrading costs into account. However, even if you don't use your house to repair barrows, it's still only a maximum of 22K/h. This is assuming I used my barrows weapon all the time, which is of course false. The fact I used 7 degrading items doesn't make the cost of degrading higher then using only 4. 22k/h is neglectable IMO. I also left half keys out of the calculation, which lowers the error even more. I don't need to use super restores as ahrim never lowered my stats under their normal level. (Remember I use a pure set each round.)
  15. I ice barrage the melee brothers and then I stand one step diagonally from them. At that spot, I can hit them with my salamander, but they can't hit me. When they become unfrozen after 6 salamander blows (and if they're not dead yet), I hide behind a cofin a few seconds and barrage them again. If you do this right, each melee brother will only hit you once, it's impossible to avoid the first blow. Actually, I measured the profit per hour and derived the profit per chest from that. I'm sure I spent 10K per chest, so that makes 52K per chest without items. Thanks for pointing that out. About luck, okay, it may also depend on luck. But I still think this depends less on luck then normal monster hunting. XxTearGodxX, I strongly suggest you should at least try my method for once. You'll be surprised how much quicker it is. Not to mention a salamander is cheaper and has a higher max hit then slayer dart. Also, one of the reasons I started this method is because I started to hate the banking and running back all the time.
  16. I'm too poor for a SGS, so I already used a DDS. (Well, not anymore, because of this barrows test, but I still think it's too expensive.) I like your praying on ahrims idea, so next time I'll try that too. You still could easily do 12 chests per trip that way. I still wonder how melee (with extreme pots) is. I tried normal whipping on torag the last few chests because I ran out of tar and I was pretty surprised by how often I hit. Yet again, the few extra hits on the brother, isn't a big time waster.
  17. True, especially because most of the extreme pots are horrible xp/gp wise. For the sake of easiness, I'd just calculate the costs of the ingredients and rate the time it takes to make them the same as the xp you get for making the. But I saw your video earlier and I wondered how good extreme magic would be with my method. Care to give it a try? Although, the problem is most of the time is lost in the tunnels, not at killing the brothers. Another option is to use b2p tablets, but as you can see this method leaves little room for the peaches. Conclusion: I'm puzzled of how to improve this.
  18. Want me to make a full guide? There isn't much special that I haven't already told. Freeze the melee brothers, stand one step diagonally and mage 6 times with your salamander (4 times if using blitz), hide behind a coffin, or something else, wait a few second, repeat. Kill karil with DD specs and piety + protect from ranged prayer. If you kill him in 6 or less blows, you'll have a lot of leftover prayer, use this to kill ahrim (mage protect + piety). In the tunnels, heal with guthan. If you have a dangerous melee brother left (mostly dharok), use the chest the same way as you used the coffin in the tombs. If you do this right, you won't have to use food.
  19. Yes Karils. You'd be surprised how accurate he hits even on full guthan with 92 defence. That's also why I carry the extra prayer potion. I use it if he's my tunnel. It's possible to first heal up, kill karils and heal 60-75 points again, but I found it too slow and tedious.
  20. i_D_r, if you bring karils he doesn't lower your stats all that much. In more then 50% of the times, I killed karil with my dagger specials before my prayer was drained by the tombes. So, I could use my leftover prayer on Ahrim (using piety and mage prayer, the drain by the tombes came before my prayer ran out), usually killing him without any drain or damage.
  21. Ssst! You saw nothing! I use the firefox spelling checker tool, but apparently it doesn't work for titles. And my English sucks. :P Yea, the profit/hour hugely surprised me too, that's why I posted it. :P
  22. Barrows is usually seen as an outdated way to make money. Only used by the low(er) levels who don't have the levels to kill the large bosses yet and high level players who want a little change from their usual money making methods. So mostly, barrows has a bad image. However, because of the inflation, most items have risen quite a lot, so I decided to test how good it is now. I used this outfit: With that outfit, I can loot 17 chests per trip, which takes a little more then 2 hours. This outfit has quite a lot of pros. It's quite cheap, only spending 10K in supplies per chest due to cheap ammunition and only 1 prayer potion sip. But it's also reasonable fast (7.5 minutes per chest), mostly due to the very little banking involved with this method. I highly recommend this outfit to anyone with 85+ combat stats. I ice barrage all melee brothers and kill then I kill them with my salamander one step diagonally from the brother. I hide behind the chest when they become unfrozen and freeze them again. I take one prayer potion sip to kill karil. About 50% I have quite some leftover prayer and use that to kill ahrim. To get constant results, I tried to keep my killcount as close to 12 as possible all the time. However, I failed quite often because guthan's sometimes takes a long time to heal. :S I didn't compare this method with any others, as my original goal was to know how much I'd earn with this outfit and I thought this outfit was superior to all others. I wish I tried veracs too though, but barrows is boring me now, so that won't happen any time soon. :P Here are my results: On average, I gained 52K in loot from the chest without items. This leads to 42K profit per chest and 338 k/h profit without items. This figure surprised me quite a lot, as not too long ago, 300 K/h was pretty decent for low levels, of course the current inflation changed that. I gained 26 barrows items, so that's got one item in 15 chests (not counting key halves and I didn't get any dragon meds), a little more then 1 item in 2 hours. My average item was worth 1700K. (Here are my items you can all drool on:) However, my lucky 5 (!) veracs helm hugely buffed my average. The average barrows items is worth 1380K. After combining all these numbers, I personally gained a profit of 1244 K/h. Using the more reasonablee 1380K per barrows item, the profit is 1074 K/h. I was pretty surprised by getting more then 1M/h. With that, barrows falls in the same category as 91 RC, tormented demons, GWD and other, usually high level activities. If you somehow heighten the amount of looted chests per hour to 10, long term profit is increased to 1300K/h! I'm thinking of using extreme pots and not using guthans as a main healing source. Thus in conclusion, barrows is an underrated minigame which pretty good long term profit. Another positive is you're less dependant on chance, like the usual monster hunting.
  23. Even though I play a female character, while I'm male myself, make up is taking it a little too far IMO.
  24. Personally, I put a heavy object on it like book. There's probably a way to let the computer do it, but I don't know any.
