  1. Care to elaborate what this quick way is?
  2. ^^ What are we supposed to see?
  3. Lol at "z0mg stop safing" when almost redbarred. *Sigh* Idiot these days.
  4. Check the guide, it's already been fixed. ;) Thanks for the notification though.
  5. My guess is a combination of "natural" inflation (76k'ing), with the new super antifire potions it's the best weapon against dragons and merchanting. Also, the natural supply is pretty low because zamorak is the least killed GWD boss.
  6. you dont know how i trained herblore. i trained herblore over the entirety of my membership so whatever. you totally read what you wanted to read into what i said. my herblore level is 99 and then some. and it's been for like over 2 years. figure out another way to train it if that's the only choice you have. try finding some player suppliers, that's what we did back in the old days before the ge. and i understand you can spend your money but the point is you waited until now and that's your own fault and what do you expect when there's so many people like you that wait until the last minute. it's like trying to find a nice room in a hotel during peak season by just showing up; you'd have to be lucky to get a spot. but you guys are so quick to demand jagex change this and jagex change that instead of figuring out what you should do besides complain. and i dont suggest rs as a single player it's been multi-player the entire time i've played it and i'm just saying buying your levels from the ge is not the only way to train herblore. I don't see why it is a problem for you or anyone else if I want to pay those high market prices to get my stuff quickly. And of course I realize it's hard to buy the items now in the first place because everyone wants them, but so what if I'm with paying a little more to compensate that. I know how it was to play before the GE, but then I just made a thread on the forums and did some woodcutting while managing it. Just as lazy in terms of gathering your own stuff, only difference was it required a little better time management.
  7. Yes, I understand that's the way you want to train and you're free to be able to do so. However, I should also be free to rip myself off and pay ridiculous prices to get 90+ herblore for these awesome potions in a few days, instead waiting 2 years before I get to that point. I worked hard for that money, so I should be free to use it. Trading in a free market with other players is an important aspect of an MMO, it almost sounds like you're suggesting to make RS in a single player game, everyone should do everything for themselves. I really wonder what your herblore level is and when you think you'll get these new potion by the way.
  8. The part that I don't understand is why people feel the need to rush for a 99 in skill that they don't enjoy. It could be that they want the status of getting a 99 that most people do not have (whether due to the amount of work that needs to be done, or the expense). Or, perhaps it's so that they can "strike another 99" off the list as they go for a high skill total. There's a point in there where most people lose the fun aspect of RS and start playing the game only for the game's sake. Now, I'm not going to tell you how to play. However, I do not think that Jagex should be expected to offer these methods of training. PS: You can probably tell from my stat sig which skills I dislike training. Now, I agree herblore isn't my favourite skill ever. However, "grinding" a few hours (while buying the ingredients at the high GE price) to get access to such awesome potions is totally worth it IMO. However, with this update I can't. Now I have to "grind" gathering vials anyhow, which will be a redicilously boring and a waste of my time. Please tell me, how I'm supposed to gather the 10K vials I need now?
  9. It's the fact that people are too lazy to collect their own materials because they are GE products. It's not a bad update by any means, they simply fixed the price of a few common items in an attempt to make them realistically priced. If Jagex were to take a proactive approach towards price manipulators the GE would be dotted with changes like this, which in the long run would be better for all of us. Just because it's unbuyable it doesn't mean it's impossible to get. That's what we had to do before the GE.....get our own items when we couldn't find a seller. No, before the GE, I and many others just posted a thread on the forums and did some woodcutting or something while managing it. I don't see how the GE has changed this.
  10. I have no clue, I can pay the farmers to cut them down without any trouble. Maybe you should report it as a bug.
  11. Don't you get more xp for trying the level 99 trick until you succeed and then the level 90, etc? Succeeding those is way more important then doing the lowest level ones, as they hardly give any xp.
  12. If money isn't much of an issue for you, then ZMI is probably best indeed. I don't know how much profit/loss you'll make with the current ridiculous high pure ess price and your relatively low RC level, but I doubt you'll lose more then a minimal amount. For fishing, barb fishing is best and afkable. Hunter, guide probably isn't really needed. Red sallies are self-explanatory, just try to release them while running. According to Zarfot "It is possible to average approximately 1k xp times your effective level per hour". For red chins, I have no clue how crowded they are (haven't hunted in ages). But when I put all my traps around one spawn on a high populated world (1900+), I had a fairly easy time finding a good world during (during peek times) and spent no time waiting for spawns. Just shoot the chin with a bow when it wanders off. Don't know much about xp/h, I think I got about 100.
  13. Bandos and SGS are definitely not worth it, unless you're very rich IMO. The difference is just too small for the (huge) costs. If you want to spend money, better spend it on skill.
  14. A "guide" for herblore training? Why would you need a guide for it? Unless you want gather your own ingredients, just buy everything from the GE and make potions. If you want to gather (some) of your ingredients, I suggest farming herbs only. That gives pretty decent xp and money, (almost) all other methods are slow, boring and give no xp. For a general cost analysis, this "calculator" is pretty handy.
  15. Make sure you check the health of your trees first, before asking them to chop it down. To let them chop it down, simply right click the farmer and click the "Pay" option. Hope that helps.
  16. LOL at all the "chanting" puns in this quest. GJ Jagex.
  17. I just saw that too... 2009: Not only the Upgrayedd year, but also the year of the 30 minute quest! *sigh* If I finish this in less than an hour, I'm seriously going to start shooting people. Good to know, from your previous post I almost feared you'd actually like an update.
  18. No. RS updates have become similar to complaining and whining. Even with the most epic awesome perfect update ever (something like GWD or corp), people will still complain.
  19. just copy the link i posted one page back instead of the current one and you'll be fine.
  20. I can always just transparize that, already makes it a whole lot better: EDIT: dunno why but I can't post pics here. But here's the link: http://img62.imageshack.us/i/newbannere.png/
  21. Awesome 99! Congratulations!
  22. It's now used for making extreme prayer potions.
  23. Then quest points should also aid to your combat level. After, I'm quite a lot stronger with barrows gloves then someone who doesn't. Heck, even fight caves should give combat levels... =\
  24. While you guys are aguing about the update, Ill answer this question you all missed ;) This is how the overload potion works. You drink it. It drains 50 HP and Keeps your stats maxed for 5 minutes. Now lets say you drink a sarabrew. You stats WILL decrease HOWEVER, as part of the potion mechanic when your stats normally would degrade (once every 60 seconds), your stats will be restored back to max again. Another example. BGS. Lets say you get into a PvP fight with someone who has a BGS and you drink a overload potion before hand. If they BGS special you for a 60, sometime within the next 60 seconds or less, the potion will automatically restore your defense back to its maximum level negating the 60 special damage. Both situations have been tested by my friend and I, so esentially an overload will make sure you are in "God Mode" once every minute for 5 mintutes. Any combat stat reducing during that time will be restored at the minute checkpoints. I still wonder though, can you just heal some food to heal the 50hp you lost because of the potion? Thanks a lot for this info btw.
