My point was that people have now given up on posting anyhting other than pixel work. People who post original photography or art work are usually just ignored or given negative comments. In my last piece of work i posted here someone actually commented saying he didnt like it because it wasnt pixel lol. This is incredibly off putting. Perhaps if people were a bit more understanding of the effort that goes into all forms of digital media then we could all post in harmony. I still think the best solution would be to put pixel work in its own section away from everything else. Not only would it keep the pixel artists happy but will also encourage more posting by people put off in ther past due to negative comments by pixel "artists"
  9. I quite like them. I'd never buy any of their stuff but i dont turn it off if its on the radio and i like it when they play their music at clubs and stuff. Out of Space is the one you are thinking of yeah. From their first album i think? Its quite old i know that.
  10. Hell im probably one of the WORST people here at spelling. And i have mild dyslexia too so dont give me that excuse plz ^_^ But theres something up when you spell your favourite band name and your favourite songs by that band wrong. Back on topic... Fuel ftw
  11. For a "fan" you spelt the band name and half the songs wrong ^_^
  12. This is probably how I would have voted should all the ones i picked won.

If you dont think steel can be melted, how do you think it gets moulded in the first place? ^_^

It takes artistic ability to make a "good" pixel sig. But i dont think i'm alone here in thinking that 90% of the pixels sigs arn't good
  15. I like how the text flows into the flames. Its rare to see so much work put into text on a sig. Most of the time people just add a bevel and put it on semi transparent ^_^ The runescape character kinda ruins it however and i feel it really needs a border.

*grumbles* I also resent the people saying that "grunge sigs are easy" or "abstract sigs can be make in 5 mins". Because you are only referring to the crappy standard that most people post here. Just like the pixel sigs there are varying qualities of artists here both in the pixel medium and brushwork and manipulation. The signature I have right now took hours... and its nowhere near the quality of some of my best work regarding full photo manipulation. I happen to think that its a really good signature. Theres a big difference between this... which took hours And this which took 15 mins Just like theres a big difference between RandomNoob5643 whos only "pixelling" for money, and MXM/Godslayer/Terley. No medium is easier or harder than the others so please dont go round saying "all abstract sigs are crap" just because the quality of abstract sigs here isnt that great. It certainly doesn't mean the medium is easy. Go take a look on DevArt and tell me that some of the work posted there is a 5minute job  All that aside however... maybe its time for pixel work to get its own sub section? I dont particularly enjoy seeing the same old rubbish posted day in day out with quality non pixel stuff getting ignored.
  17. Mmmkay. a couple more zeros than i expected ^_^ pass

I don't even bother posting my art, signatures and images anymore because i don't use pixel and no1 bothers replying to my threads. :'(
  19. As far as I'm concerned, splash screens are pretty much a waste of time if they only act as a portal - you only give one choice. O belive that the only time you should have a splash screen is if there are several options to go, ie a flash based site and html or one for international visitors say. Other than that its wasting time, no one really wants to have to move through extra pages waiting or clicking. Now thats my opinion on the matter heres some facts... A homepage with very little content is a violation of a fundamental SE optimization rule. You just arn't going to get high up in the search engines with a splash screen. Many people will look at a splash screen and if its not clear whats going on they will leave. Check your server logs to see how many people are not going beyond the first page

Not very patient are you? If people want to set up galleries of their own images thats fine... i show all my avatars here for example. but i dont really think tipit needs a generic gallery for all. there would be literally thousands of pictures there. If you want to see some of MXM's work for example then give him a pm. Hes probably got a gellery somewhere and will probably gladly link you to it.
  21. I think i voted for the loser every time ^_^
  22. Twice a day? Are you Homer Simpson? Not at all, but remember, the more you shave, the faster it grows back. After several years...I mean...give me 4 or 5 hours and I it'll be visible again. Thats an urban myth

  24. Its still thursday the 8th? I thought u were doing ti friday? lol
  25. Generic "abstract" background in a monotone cut and paste render bevelled text no border Try and do somehting a bit more ogirinal than the clicḫ̩̉̉ "abstract" sig Your background looks really good but seems a bit plain. Put a bit more colour into it. Do as many layers as you need. Remove the spider man pic, its an awful picture anyway and ruins the piece.
