first slavery, then hitler, now people on internet forums. WHEN DOES IT END??!! no ones yet debated my argument, could one of you defending r2 give me your reasons why im not right? Anyone wanna come to my conentra...... i mean, merchant convention. But seriously, prejudice, by definiton, is a strong, unfavorable opinion without adaquate reason. People don't have a reason to hate merchants, they just do. The item for item economy sounds ok, i guess. Ive never played diablo2, so I'm not exactly sure how your example works. However, it's probably too late to change the economy. Like I said, I've never seen this system used, so I can't be exactly sure.

One can only hope.... I play the game to play the game. I get so annoyed when I watch people buying weapons that I worked through a tough quest to get.

OLD Runescape Classic Picture (Let the memorys Flow)
trunksrs replied to Dilts36's topic in RuneScape Classic
Wow, so many things I had completely forgotten about. I always thought the big bones looked wierd. Classic dragon fight pic, it was so much to brag about then, as was rune armor. I wish that the game could be like that again. -
So, any ideas for the name of this quest (Please don't let it be Cooks Assisstant 2. Please not CA2). I think it would be funny if they just called it "The 100th quest"

Okay...I was wrong, but the "bug" still works.
trunksrs replied to Myweponsg00d's topic in General Discussion
Actually, most of the safe spots are really bug abuse, just some of the quest ones, which Jagex is quick to fix. The point of ranging and maging is to avoid the enemy. Honestly, I would like to see this hanged so that you do need the shield, but, like Myweponsg00d said, if they are gunna change something like this, they should announce it. The used to put bug fixes in the news section. Also, you guys came down way too hard on him. He was trying to be nice and warn anyone else that prayed instead of using the shield, and you guys tore him apart. We really need to cut back on the flaming on this site. -
The problem, like I have said before, lies in those uninformed about the cap. Any player who is unfortunate enough to go over the cap will lose ALL his GP, and as this post shows, barely anybody even knows this cap exists. Now, I agree, there's really no reason to be holding 2100M at the moment (but there are some cases where it does make sense). However, in the very near future, Party Hat Sets will be worth well over a Billion GP. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sets go over the cap by next year, assuming no major changes take place in the economy. If this rings true, then we are likely to see HUGE problems with players losing BILLIONS just because of some cap. I do like the proposition of introducing paper money, which would almost be like certs in Classic. One Paper dollar could be worth 1000 GP, and would therefore increase the cap to a whopping 2.1 Trillion (plus another 2.1 Billion in Gold Pieces). This would alleviate any problems, without creating any new ones. I do agree that this is a problem. Jagex should at least have a "The bank can not hold any more of this item for you" message, maybe make it more creative or something like saying its for insurance reasons, instead of just letting you reset your gp. But I do think there should be a cap, just because I don't think anyone should ever be that rediculously rich. If POH's ever come out, maybe you could get a masion or something. Show off your wealth, don't let it collect dust in the bank. Maybe the clothes shop could add new merchan clothes, which could be priced in the millions, with a tux or something prised at 1 billion for each piece. This could also have something like a top hat and a monicule. The full set would show your skill as a merchant, and would eat up all that excess money you don't know what to do with. About people hating merchants, its a predjudice. Like I said before, I don't know why I hate them, I'm not jealous, they don't hurt me, I just don't like them. It's a hatred with no reason behind it.
-
If he won't say it I will. More mahoganies and teaks....sounds like POH's are on their way! (Or at least more stuff being thrown in the game to set in our banks until it eventaully does come, if ever). I've been hearing things about them since I started RS, kinda makes ya not care anymore....

I am coming close to my 5th year aniversary on rs, and yet I don't even have 100 combat. The reason for this is that I hate serious leveling, and instead spend my time HAVING FUN, which is how the game is meant to be played. (I also took a lot of breaks, but thats not the point.) You hate merchants because you are impatient? What's the use of 99 skill's... That's my reply. All I have to say to this is: OWNED. I agree with you bloodveld. I'm not exactly sure when I started playing, but I know I'mm getting close to 5 years, and have probably aready passed that mark. I am currently 93 combat, and if you want any of my other stats, they are all on the highscores. I play the game off and on, and lately I've been spending more time here than the game. I play the game for me, and won't just buy my way through stats. Back on topic, I have 0.1% of the cap, and I don't want it changed. Even if I had 2.1bil, I wouldn't want it changed. I sorta hate merchants, not really sure why. Maybe cause they lie. I would probably be more likely to sell to one that is honest about offering a low price. Or maybe I hate merchants because i find them greedy. If I hade 2.1 bil, I would probably throw a 2 billion gp drop part. I also find phats, santa hats, and masks worthless. They have no purpose other than to look nice. I actually like the "buy all phats and destroy them" idea, but thats jsut my opinion.

OMG, Do they Really have buttons for that kind of thing, that just seems unwise!!! 8) 8) Man, what if the Jagex people are just setting by the buttons, and a fly comes, and it lands on a guys head, and the guy next to him is like "Im gunna get that fly", and knocks the guy out, and he lands on the button......

trunksrs replied to hobobob7's topic in General Discussion
Ya, I thought that connection was pretty obvious, with the "Temple Nights" you are trying to join in the wanted quest. -

Master Slayer Guide by Axe Man Jack (AOW) Updated 9/06
trunksrs replied to bigmoneyak's topic in General Guides
you can also do terrorbirds for bird assignments, including mounted terrorbird gnomes. there is a "terrorbird pasture" in the western part of the gnome stonghold that is good for terrorbird slaying. -
Just wondering here, and I'm sure alot of others are to. Did the secret assignment theory seem to hold true for you the whole way through?

If anyone likes chompy hunting, that works for doing the bird assignments. It's not very quick, but if u like doing it, its not too bad. Also a good source of feathers. -
Haven't you been paying attention? There is proof of evolution, its a scientific theory. Things like god aren't theories. If there was proof, it wouldn't be called a THEORY, it would be called a FACT. Theories are unproven ideas with some evidence behind it.

They should just put the little line through the zero
-
Nope, here's the answer. One little piec outta place, and the rest just sorta fall in.

I am against it. Alot of times people type stuff like that way more than they need to, and it just gets annoying. I could see repeating yourself in Falador bank world 2, but there I times when I choose the least crowded server, and am in a bank with maybe 3 other people, when i see: We heard you!!! Obviously no on is interested, go away!!

Ooo man, I'd hate to right-click to trade with someone and end up reporting them >.< But if the panel when you normally report pops up with the player's name inside already, then that could work. Thats a good idea, and would still allow you to choose what u are reporting them for. Youd just have to be careful and make sure the right name was in there when you are in a crowded area, you might still accidentally click the wrong name.

200 mill is the cap. Theres another topic floating around here (named something like "cooks are crazy" or something similar to that) discussing the 200 mill cap. Someone on that topic posted a link or something about xxneoxx (however its spelt, the # 1 fletcher) posted a topic on rs official forums ranting about how he can go past 200 mill exp and the 2nd place guy was catching up to him. He said hecan still fletchs, but he receives no exp for it. So apparently there is a cap, which I understand....but why 200 mill??? kinda odd. I agree, 200 mil is an odd number. You'd think it would be something like 999,999,999 (If you notice, alot of games, especially the earlier ones have something like 99 as a level cap instead of 100, because of the extra memory needed to add another digit. When you have digits, its just sensible to use it completely.) or a power of 2 -1, because of the way bytes work (ei. 2^8=256, which can be used for 0-255 (a total of 256 numbers, 255=256-1). 255 is a common cap in games since it is the largest number that can be stored in 1 byte, like the max number of rupees in the original Zelda.)

Wow, that hasnt happened to me since b4 members.....

Is there proof of gravity? Nuhuh, Gravity is only a theory; I propose intelligent falling, gravity is so complex that it needs to be created by a 'pusher'. I believe the person pushing us to the 'centre of gravity' is God. Teach the controversy̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ What are you talking about? Gravity is a proven force of attraction between to bodies. When you drop an apple, it falls, satelites revolve around planets, and planets around stars, and the moon causes changes in the tide. Listen, there is no proof of evolution, and no proof of the big bang, and no proof of any of the other theories of how the universe started, so how is God the only one we can rule out because of lack of proof.

but sometimes we get lucky. This has to be the easiest puzzle I've ever had.

Well, I'll be turning 19 in March, and have had 2 main jobs so far. The first working at McDonald's, the second working with my dad at a sheet metal fabrication plant. People look down on McDonald's employees as uneducated (I have to agree for the most part, Mencia was dead on saying that kids and people new to America were the only people that belong there), but you better be good at math if you wanna work the register. It's not calculus, but you have to do 3 and 4 digit addition and subtraction every now and again when something goes wrong with the register. Working with my dad, we formed sheet metal into parts for computer and military equipment, and we had to use math all the time to make sure all the demensions were correct. For example, the prints would sometimes give the diameter of a whole, and the distance from the center of the whole to some other point. The only thing you could measure would be from the edge of the whole to the other giving point, so you would have to figure out what distance that was suppose to be. There was one time that I had to grab my graphing calculator and do a little calulus to try to find out what angle a certain part was supposed to be formed into.
