Ever been talking about an item then geting it as a drop?
trunksrs replied to Kiriyama's topic in General Discussion
I got assigned dust devils (decided early on not to wate time camping there as the dragon chain was just to rare), so I went down there for like me second time ever. I had killed maybe 10 before this. Well, I was talking to my one IRL friend about his KQ trip the day before, and talking about the chain with him. I also told this guy I met at PC that I could play the game with him because I was slaying dusties, and he started talking to me about a dragon chain also. Didn't get one......... -
That's what I was thinking while playing last night. I probably won't even try the first week its out.

Well, as someone else said, the misquito probiscus can be used as a ranged weapon and would make pretty good amo for a blow gun, which would be good for hunting small animals. When the probiscus was realezsed quite a while ago, they said it would be used in a future update. Also, there is already Chompy hunting. It could have been a bit of experminting of implementing hunting styles into the game. Jagex doesn't have to work on one thing at a time. Just because their last skill was only 4 months ago doesn't mean they've only been working on hunting for 4 months.

Only if you get assigned to slay them. Just training on them only gives combat exp.

Wow, that must be humiliating. ROFL!!! anyway berrakus, theres several, and theyre giant mosquitos, as opposed to the swarms u get in tai bwo. im sorry but i font know whether they drop probiscis.... I killed a few. They don't seem to drop anything. Edit: But ya, I was starting to think the probiscis had been forgotten about. They said it was for a future update.....

My strongest monster was probably only bronze dragons, and not oo many. Best drop would definately be the clue scroll that got me, among other things, and Saradomin and Zammorak PlateBody (happy day!)

[ And (to get back on topic), I agree with Nick's point. If people could pay less and for the same thing with ads, then block the ads, there are plenty of people out there who would. And as for not caring about the ads, yes, it wasn't originally a reason for me to join members, I would never want them again. They have made me log out a few times when I was typing and tried to backspace.

I think mine was 124 or something, I have all but 7 qp

Wow, no one said that until the third page? But if you guys are really sticklers for trying to tag it with a specific time period (even though Jagex has said it is a fantasy world and not a specific time period), pirates used grenades, and there are pirates in this game.

Benches... Why not let us sit on them?

It would add a bit more of a role-playing element to it. The inns could have an actual use, and resting in a bed would restore all stats and energy rapidly. They would just have to make it one person to a seat. Inn's could charge to open the door and go in a room, then only 1 person in a room. If you sleep in a NPC's bed, they could get mad and throw something at you, lowering your stats, if they catch you. Then bars could be really interesting. Once you have your seat, they could have right-click options either on the seat or the table to order food and drinks. -

Actually I think that's reffering to Fairytale Parts 1 and 2. I was thinking maybe sorcerer's garden was a refrence to the next quest in this series. -

Fighting the fire guy for desert treasure. But I brought my ice gloves with me, so I still managed to tear him up, even without being online. -
What world was it that most people play in? Been a while since I've played and there is no one here.

Ya, he's not last. Any coordinate clue will have a mage gaurding the casket. Zammy mages will be in the wilderness, and the more powerful sara mages everywhere else. Anyway, to do wilderness ones, take your clue, sextant, spade, watch, chart, and a dragon dagger. With protect inventory prayer, you will only have to drop 2 items if you are attacked. I find the spade and watch are the easiest to replace, so I drop them when in danger. Once you get to the treasure, protect mage and dig, and use your special on the mage, then dig up the treasure. If you want, go ahead and drop your spade and watch now so you're safer, or you can go ahead and try to get those out of the wilderness too. Most importantly, do not open that casket until you are safely out of the wilderness. The last thing you need is to open the casket, and get a nice inventory full of rare and valuable items in the wilderness.

The Museum of Runescape, a possibility?
trunksrs replied to Buckeyemange's topic in General Discussion
I like it. Maybe they could have guys at the door that hold all your stuff during your visit, (for realism purposes, to make it so you can't sneak anything out), and then you can have a full inventoryto pick up some of the "hands on" exhibits to see what the items looked like in your inventory, and be able to equip them and stuff like that. Maybe even little dummies you could swing at. Then when you leave, the guys at the door make sure you aren't sneaking anything out, andgive you your stuff back. -
Maybe the have it coded like that to be nice. Imagine you were out fighting dusties, and got a chain. Then you goet hit by a rollback and loose it. If they have it coded so that you get the same drops, it should be easy to get back. I know there are some people out there, that if the would loose a d chain because of a rollback, would just go nuts. I'm sure the last thing Jagex wants is a headline saying "Young teen guns down four because of Java based online game" (maybe a bit or an exaduration) because of something like this, maybe this is just a precaution so players don't snap.

It's a monster drop. http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=567

Yeah, you have to do (or just get to the middle of) the Evil Dave section of the Recipe for Disaster quest to gain access to hell cats. They're the red cats you saw. You just make them eat a few hell rats which are in Dave's basement and it'll turn into that. For this part of the quest you will have to do the Shadow of the Storm quest, which has a few quest prerequisits as well.

Pretty good idea. One of the things I like about runescape is that the chat system isn't as cluttery as most other MMOs (and the fact that there aren't a bazillion names floating over peoples heads), so I personally don't want to see it change too much, but a nice little filing system is always good. Another feature I would like to see brought back is a text command to send PM's (please let me know if there already is one) A few years ago, if you wanted to send me a message, you could say "Tell TrunksRS 'message'", and it would pm me. The flaw with this was trying to say something like "tell me when your done" (that's how I found it).
