  1. I don't remember what you wrote, but in order to claim a country (as of a post by the OP on some page) you need to post a plan for the country that isn't just something like "I'll improve the economy and make fair jobs"
  2. Brazil update. We've produced the first of the t96 tanks, and over a dozen t99a3's have been made in the past several months. In that same time, most of our air force has been maintained, and the obsolete planes have been converted into trainer planes. We are starting production on Chinese jh-11 and su-30 jets. Brazil has passed all the information for constructing the tanks onto the other states of SAR. We are negotiating with Venezuela so that in the future they may join us. Poverty rates have dropped down to 10%, and that is expected to lower even further within the year. The unemployment rate is very low now, as well. We are starting increasing our naval capabilities as well (mostly for trading, very little is going into military purposes) Also No rage virus please
  3. That would have been one of my next choices after brazil. Maybe, to avoid the unfortunate abbreviation of SAC try SAL south asian league, or maybe SAN, south asian nations, or USAN, United South Asian Nations. I like how that last one sounds. Asia is looking like it might get interesting pretty soon. I'll also try to recap stuff for everyone when I wake up tomorrow. I'm still gonna be awake for a little bit.
  4. The back of the hoodie I posted was the best part, it's not in that picture.
  5. The SAR is still allied with china so we'll remain neutral to your alliance for now. Now you guys need to think of a catchy name or abbreviation. For now I'd say the following are world superpowers: SAR whatever the asians decide to call themselves and the US/Canada (who will probably ally with eachother. and if not, than just the US) The EC isn't a superpower yet, due to the fact it's only a few smaller nations, but soon I imagine it will be.
  6. My thoughts, pretty much. Also, if the vatican city was attacked, the pope killed and you declared yourself pope, I doubt Catholics would be doing your bidding, but instead they'd be rising up against you.
  7. That's pretty cool. Thanks. Also, according to the above site, only like 8% of Zimbabwe is catholic. How did they take over the whole country?
  8. I have a proposal for the other SAR members. We split it into 4 different states. Brazil and the smaller northern states, Greater Argentina, Nothern Province (Columbia, northern peru, and ecuador), and then the central state, including the southern half of peru, and bolivia. Eagle will control the northern one, Lent get's argentina, and I get brazil. Central is shared. Sound fair to all SAR members? Also, Malaria and AIDS have now been eradicated from the SAR. It took a good amount of time to get vaccines out to everyone, but a year after we received them, those diseases are a thing of the past. The first T99 MBT has been completed, with a T96 expected to be completed next month. And about the military numbers, even though SAR has one of the largest militaries in the world, it still is suffering from lack of training for some armies, and antiquated weapons and vehicles. All these are being addressed however. And to meol and riku, now that you have formed an alliance, you can start taking over countries near you, but if someone who joins wants one of the captured countries, they can take it from you. And sorry about that caroman, I know how annoying it is to make the lists. Maybe you can help me in the future. Right now I would suggest trying to joining the EC, since that might become powerful soon. EDIT: Now that another superpower might be forming (the EC) I almost feel like this will end up with the political setup of 1984. Three superpowers, all unbeatable.
  9. Neither. Get this one. I had it but lost it, it was awesome.
  10. I think most of the old alliances have been broken. Definitely the UN. Of course, you can simply try to recreate those alliances. What the hell happened in these last 13 pages I wasn't here for? :ohnoes: Uh, where to start. Brazil and Argentina started SAR (south american republic) which now controls all of south america except for Venezuela. Sar is allies with China and cuba. Egypt took over libya Israel took over lebanon, and allied with china Taiwan allied with india I think, but is keeping peace with china USA isn't doing much Norway started a new oil cartel, designed to eventually wean the world off oil, and use the money gained from it to fund alt. energy infrastructure. China is cleaning up pollution. That's all I can remember.
  11. Ok new list, and map. Updated as of this post. NOTE ITALY IS NOT INCLUDED ON THE MAP YET. 12. I can't right now. If someone makes a list of all the countries that have joined since the list on page 7, I'll do the map. I have the source file for the map (which is about 3 times larger than the picture I post, so it's easier to edit) so I'll just do the map. I might be able to do it tonight, but I'm running out of colors. Also, wikipedia tells me that both argentina and brazil have been working to make nuclear submarines independently. I say we combine our research, and hopefully we can put out a prototype early this year. Oh yeah, in my timezone atleast, it's now next year.
  13. Well, there's not much we can do about it at this point. If all countries started at equal monetary points, with equal natural resources, the game wouldn't be very interesting. Plus working your way up isn't bad, you just start improving your own country, gain allies, and maybe eventually conquer smaller countries.
  14. You can't claim another country if you already have one. You could try conquering it eventually, but considering somalia is one of the poorest and most corrupt countries in the world (you were somalia, right?) and france is one of the worlds superpowers, I doubt you'd win. I don't think this game should be based on the country's standing in the world today, that would just make it unfair to people who join later in the game. It should be based on the changes you make to your country in order to make it better. You can better your country, but where countries are in the real world is the basis of the game. For example, argentina in the real world is not a superpower by any means, but now it is one of the two leading states in SAR, which has improved the quality of life of all member-states. It may not be a superpower yet, but it's getting there. And omni, I imagine you could abandon that, since you haven't really done much other than impose laws that ships must have 1 bandanna or cutlass. It's not my choice though.

  16. Brazil's military alone is around 5-6 hundred active, with another 1.3 million in reserve, if I remember right (After what's happened in the game). Most of our vehicles are antiquated, but with my above post, we're improving that. With the addition of columbia, the SAR has 350 million citizens, and a 4.5 million person army.
  17. War, the first thing you need to do is work on drug related crime. Drugs are regulated fairly minimally in the SAR, which has lowered crime a bit, but drug lords still are very damaging to your state, as well as the surrounding states of SAR. Now the only country in south America not assimilated is Venezuela, and maybe in a year or so they'll come around. In Brazilian news, the first tank manufacturing factory with the capabilities to build t99 and t96 tanks, with the help from our Chinese allies has been completed. We expect our first tank to be completed early next year. We converted several aircraft factories to military purposes, mainly for servicing all of our damaged jets and planes (We have many that are currently not functioning), and later, for building JH-7 and su30 planes.
  18. Just went 78-23 on ffa. I think that's my best. Not my best kdr, but my best kdr at 70+ kills on ffa. Oh, this was in a 15 minute match, by the way. Ak-74u (normally silenced, but I accidentally unsilenced it when I switched the paintjob the round before) Bandolier Stopping Power Steady Aim After I started using that setup I never get below third place on ffa. Except on 1 map that I suck on, I can't remember the name of it. I love the 74u because, even though it has less accuracy and thus less effective range than the mp5, most ffa combat is up close, and it will always beat a mp5 up close.
  19. You could join the South American Republic.
  20. Yeah, someone had that idea so it would be easier to remember who was who.
  21. Ok, seeing as I have nothing else to do, I added stuff up from wikipedia, plus adding or subtracting a bit based on what we've done. The SAR's GDP is 2,625,166,000,000 (2.6 trillion) which doesn't put it in the top 5 even, so I wouldn't say we're overpowered just yet. Our military size is now 4.1 million, including reserve. Fit for military service is around 240 million I'd guess. This makes us the 4th largest military in the world (not taking into account anything other people have done on this thread, since they haven't posted numbers) There are now 300 (aprox) million citizens of the SAR. From now on, unless I saw otherwise, my posts are relating the the Brazilian state in the SAR (which, I think is it's own country now, and each of the former countries are now states) Also, since our alliance with the PRC, we start building facilities in which to construct, and house new tanks and military aircraft. This project creates a lot of both skilled and unskilled, just what Brazil in particular needs, to the number of uneducated people needing work. Since the government reform, in Brazil, the average income for the lower class has almost tripled, and has increased slightly for the middle class, and lowered slightly for the upper class.
  22. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU [bleep]. Anyone want an alliance with China? Good opportunity, people.  The south american republic needs newer military technology, especially planes and tanks. We don't really have any main battle tanks that aren't from the 50s over here. A few JH-10 and 11's and su30 planes, along with the schematics to build them, as well as a few t99 and t96 tanks, along with the schematics. We would even pay for the price of the planes and tanks (around 100 million usd for all, or less, I think). This would bring our military to the 21st century. Or atleast late 20th, haha. In exchange we can export energy in various forms to you for cheap, plus discounts on other exports from us. Plus, I imagine the SAR is the fastest growing world power at this point, though that will slow down soon enough, our gdp now is a rival for most of the superpowers in the world.
  23. I may have singled out the wrong person indeed, and for that I am sorry (hands indy a handful of AIDs vaccines). I'm just trying to avoid people going on a spree and deciding to conquer countries that may or may not be occupied sooner or later, which is what I assumed you were doing with the Scandinavian countries. The only reason why I am lenient with Lent and Doomsayer (although I have warned them not to go overboard) is because even combined, all of South America makes less than most Northern countries. I just want to slow things down a little, which is why I have ordered the SAR campaign to halt it's expansion at Colombia and Venezuela. For the time being, Rocco will only occupy Libya and Egypt in hopes that another brave leader will step in with plans for helping African countries. Please avoid any sort of expansion until a few more days, when everyone will have a chance to play an equal part in the new world. Thanks :D PS: sorry about my assumption Doom  It's fine. And yeah, I added up all the populations in SA that we control, and our population is now a bit under 300, or in the low 300's, if we account for time passed since the most recent surveys. And by halt our expansion at Columbia & Venezuela, do you mean don't take control of them, or stop after? And nick, that all sounds good.
  24. I think we're going to go with the south american republic. Though it might change, I think we can be referred to as that for now. It might change also if a central american or any other country outside of south america joins us.
  25. Sorry, I was confused. I thought Taiwan allied with India in order to stop China's expansion. Actually you might have been right, now that I think about it. I should probably check. Actually I'm pretty sure you're right. Oh, and tortoise I should probably put one of those gender things in my sig or location eventually, since I can't expect people to know.
