  1. China and Taiwan friendly towards each other? Probably won't happen for quite a long time. But these are Tip.it'ers and the young generation may not have the animosity of the older generation. Fun fact: China is called The People's Republic of China (PRC) whereas Taiwan is called The Republic of China (ROC). I've spent all day pretty much on wikipedia looking at countries, found some interesting stuff. Of course none of this would happen in real life, but I think the person who has taiwan and china decided to ally. And they renamed taiwan to the republic of taiwan. Admittedly the abbreviation "ROT" leaves a bit to be desired, not that that really matters. And yeah, I've spent a lot of today looking up stuff. Taiwan's military size surprised me, and so did vietnam's. Oh, and EMR, what's your country's status on the south american republic? Neutral, Hostile, or other?
  2. I'm gonna expand on my previous post, go a bit more into depth about brazil. In the past few years, in real life, urbanization has increased immensely, and in the hegemony, atleast 85% of citizens live in cities or urban centers. The remaining 15% work either in the energy farms, or agriculture farms. Mining has now been mostly automated, other than those needed to control the machines. Most of what we produce goes back into brazil due to the massive amount of resources needed to achieve our urban projects. We still export a decent amount of iron, oranges, corn, and ethanol. (this also is happening irl ->) the road system is being improved greatly to allow easier trade with our neighboring provinces(or states or whatever) of the SAR, and overall safer transportation. Crime has gone down in cities, since there is a lot less need for stealing after all the reforms. I think the SAR wants to ally with china, and I guess Taiwan. Would that work for you two? As part of the alliance, Brazil and the SAR need more advanced weapons technology, and possibly have china supply us. Considering all of our militaries are antiquated, with the majority of vehicles malfunctioning, and some assets are from pre-WWII. In exchange we can export energy in various forms to you at a decreased price, and also give you a discount on any other exports. I don't think any of this goes against what tortoise said, since most of it is about trade, rather than development.
  3. We won't be expanding any more for a bit though, though the OP ok'd our expansion. I'd suggest that you can expand into unclaimed territories, but be reasonable. Don't magically expand without an explanation that's reasonable, so for example, australia doesn't randomly take over greece. Unless the OP disagrees, here's what I'm thinking has happened with the SAR. Ok, as for the South American Republic, we now control the majority of S america. All of the annexation has been done peacefully, through either benefits to member countries, or ultimatums for those that refuse to join. The SAR (south american republic) currently is in debt, due to it's massive expansionism, but due to the literally 10s of millions of new jobs created, and the removal of foreign exploiters from brazil, the economy is booming, and debt will be paid off within a few years. While we are not energy independent yet, a large portion of our energy is generated by wind and solar power, and that percentage is increasing daily. Columbia and Venezuela have yet to join our Empire, but they likely will in the future, as mutual diplomats have been discussing their possible membership in the SAR. A icbm missile defense system has been built along the coast of brazil. Due to new military policies, the majority of all citizens in brazil have undergone basic training, and our military reserve has increased by half a million men & women. Poverty is still an issue, but the gap between the wealthy and the poor is shrinking. Homelessness is now nonexistant, due to the enormous city reorganization projects, that effectively removed shantytowns, and greatly improved the quality of life of millions. All, except for the parts that would provide no benefit, of the land that was clear-cut by foreign loggers has been built up into wind and solar farms. Roofs in cities are slowly being equipped with solar panels, but it is a slow process. Free education is now provided in most areas, and all students are required to learn spanish, and are heavily encouraged to learn either English or Chinese as well. Similar things are happening throughout south america, though to lesser extents. We hope to do what we have done in brazil to the rest of SA sometime in the near future. I'll leave what happens to argentina up to lent here.

  5. Israel has only been accused of having nuclear weapons, but it has never been confirmed. Israel has not signed the npt pact, and is one of only a handful of countries to not have. It's not like the US would just give nukes to them. Also, trying to remove all the Palestinians from Israel to move to some random nearby country would be an equivalent task to the US government ordering all Canadian-Americans to be deported to Mexico. I would almost guarantee that that would not happen peacefully, and you would either be assassinated, or declared war upon. And israel would end up worse off than the other countries it nuked. The fallout would just be blown by the wind right back into your country, and the majority of your people would get radiation sickness, and a lot would die. Then you'd probably get nuked by pakistan, and in all likely hood, your country would be wiped out by just about every other country on earth. Aaaanyway, there aren't any nukes in this version of the world. And I made a list a few pages back, I'll update it, aswell as the map once I get back on my laptop which has the files.
  6. It might be in our interests to ally with cuba aswell, they have a strong military, but they are still crippled by the US's embargo, and we could help them advance economically, and eventually assimilate them.
  7. You didn't post a plan for russia, unless I'm mistaken, so you don't control them. You can still post a plan for them, but until then it's still up for grabs according to OP. Plus your military size would be equal to the south american empire's, and smaller than china, N. korea, and vietnam.
  8. I was thinking of starting relations with angola, directly across the ocean from me, and they speak Portuguese. It's a corrupt government, but it could be overthrown. Ok, names again, U.R.A. United Republic of the Americas Or just S.A.E South American Empire The first name also would allow us to assimilate other parts of the Americas, like central american countries.
  9. 1 of my stealth classes has uav jammer, 1 doesn't. One is used for ffa, and the chances of getting killed by someone who found you with uav is relatively low. Plus, I have uav on most of the time in ffa, so any advantage they have is removed by that. The other I use for hc games, other than ffa.
  10. That's an interesting idea, and would probably be beneficial to both of our countries/groups. I would support your plan. As for names, one that popped of for me is: U.R.S.A United Republic of South America.
  11. In terms of population, Brazil has more people than the rest of SA combined, so I don't think we could be stopped militarily. Once we take control of all but Columbia and Venezuela, we will control 4/5 of south America's population. We could always pull a USA and fund a military coup in Venezuela, and remove Chavez that way. If not, I think we could convince him, I'm sure he'd be for a south american superpower, and it would gain him more power aswell. Columbia is what I'm most worried about, too much corruption. We could always make agreements with their government in exchange for them joining us. Including current numbers, plus the rise with what we would do, our military size would be around 3.5 million, making us the second or third largest military in the world. That's not including Columbia or Venezuela either, with them we would break 4 million easily. As long as we kept good relations with the US, China, and Russia, there would be no countries that could pose a serious threat to us. Allying with china would be beneficial, but only if we kept good relations with Mumm Ra over in the US, otherwise we might get attacked. We also should fund a military defense system around S. Americas coastlines, we don't want to get icbm'd. Nick, that'd be good. It's hard to concentrate on everything at once, so more people is good. Also, we need a name for our new empire/republic/whatever.
  12. Well, Bolivia and Peru should be the first step. The Bolivian military is weak, they spend about as much a year on their army as the US does on a single raptor. Also, 40% of their army is under 18. They also have no air force to speak of. Peru on the other hand has a strong military. Not as strong as Brazil, or Greater Argentina, but it would be smarter to assimilate them rather than fight them. The best way to do this would be to allow their leader sovereignty, but still answer to us, but we would mostly stay out of his business, and in exchange he would get cheaper energy from us, and our assistance if needed. Bolivia has a very weak military as I said, but it would still probably be good to assimilate them as well, rather than fight them. Ecuador would probably follow Peru, especially if we imposed an ultimatum on them, for example, any country that doesn't join us will be blocked from trading to any of our countries. Assuming that all went according to plan, All that would be left would be Columbia, Venezuela and all the northern countries. According to the internets, brazil has 1.4 soldiers, including reserve, with several hundred thousand on active duty. Columbia also has a large army, with 400,000 on active duty. I would rather not have to expend a huge amount of manpower to fight columbia. It would either be in our best interests to have them join us, in exchange for our help with ending their drug wars. Then all that's left is venezuela, because the northeastern countries border me, and could easily be conquered or assimilated. I think we could have venezuela join through a mutual trade agreement, plus, joining us would bring them more power, and I'm sure chavez would want that.
  13. Also, I'll update the map I made every few countries, if that's ok tortoise?
  14. [hide=Original Plans]Or if not, I'd pick Brazil. Tenth largest economy in the world, largest military in latin america, almost 200 million people, I'd say it has potential. Maybe I could work with Lent and his Argentinian controlled portion of South America. Mainly in the country, I'd try to end foreign exploitation, and instead allow the country to take advantage of it's own resources, which would help reduce poverty, as well as creating many new jobs, and improving old ones. The military would have to remain strong, I might even pull a north korea in having all citizens take basic training at some point, and all households would have a rifle or handgun. Less dangerous drugs like Marijuana, salvia, etc. would be legalized, but taxed. Heavier drugs like heroin, and cocaine would be regulated in that you could only get a certain amount every month, to help decrease OD's and addictions if possible. Of course people would still get them illegally, but it couldn't hurt to regulate them a bit. Heavier taxes would be imposed on the wealthy, but not cripplingly high, and lesser taxes on the poor in order to decrease poverty and help redistribute the wealth so it would not only be the elite who had money. I don't think I would try to annex any other countries, Brazil still has many national resources and a good amount of space. I would protect the rain forests if possible, or at least put aside a large amount of them that would be government land and illegal to log on or otherwise exploit. I'd need to learn Portuguese, but I speak spanish so it's shouldn't be too hard. I'm thinking this topic could make a decent RP in the falador library, if it was organized right.[/hide] I'm gonna improve upon these plans now. Once then new government was put into place, the first thing we'd do would be to impose extremely heavy taxes on all foreign companies exporting our resources, to the point it becomes unprofitable and they are forced to leave the country. These taxes would give my government enough extra funds to start using our own resources for the good of our country, rather than for foreign countries' interests. The majority of the Amazon would become a preserve, and all the thousands of miles of cut-down forests, instead of just being an eyesore would become solar or wind farms, which would effectively make Brazil energy-independent. The government would fund massive urban re-organization and renewal projects, creating thousands or millions of jobs, providing better housing for the poor, and overall cleaning up the cities. Shantytowns would become a thing of the past. The overall quality of life would increase immensely for the majority of people. A long term plan would be to equip almost ever roof in the country with solar panels, which eventually would lead to a profit and an excess of power. We would sell our excess electricity to neighboring countries for a cheaper price than oil, leading to good relations with surrounding nations. We are investing a lot of our excess funds in on space travel, as well, under the project name of SAB All citizens would go through basic training, and at least 3 months of active service at some point in their life, unless they are already above 50 or a pre-existing condition prevents them. Military size would increase, but only for defense, seeing as with all the new governments around the world, someone is going to be violent. Develop a state-of-the-art missile defense system along our borders, and at various points around the country. We would not build any nuclear weapons of our own, so our missile system could not be mistaken for an offensive act. All citizens would also go through a emergency response class for a few weeks, detailing what to do in an environmental, nuclear, or military crisis. EDIT: After researching a bit, the first military priority would be repairing and maintenancing (Not actually a word I don't think) everything. Then getting newer and up-to-date weapons and vehicles. That's all I can think of right now.
  15. The rage virus main outbreak wouldn't last more than a few weeks, as I said. After the first two weeks, all survivors will either be well hidden or barricaded, or out of the outbreak area. Even if a few people get infected after the main outbreak ends, the area in which the infection happened would remain deserted or quarantined until all infected were dead.
  16. Here's a map, and key. I combined Uruguay, paraguay and chile with argentina since that was one of the starting points of Lent's plans, and all of those countries are weaker than chile. Here are the maps. [hide=] [/hide] So lent, want to work together to make a unified S.A?
  17. Ok, I'll make a list of the counties who have plans for them. evil_mumm_ra-USA Lenticular_J-Argentina Doomsavenger-Brazil Flodder450-Holland Lionheart-Canada Indy500fan-Norway Oldjoe-Germany Mage_man0103-Australia? Hawaii-fastortoise I probably missed someone or messed up the country someone had, but there's the basic list of "taken" countries. Also, I suggest that the EU doesn't count as a country, since it's really a bunch of smaller countries. I don't know if it's normally considered a country or not, but I know some people do.
  18. I prefer pc to xbox. I have mw on pc, and will probably get mw2 for pc.
  19. The rage virus would be easy to survive. Even if it alters the human body, I doubt any would survive longer than a week due to dehydration. All you would need to do is fill some containers with water, get some food together and barricade yourself in your attic. My attic would be great considering it's the pull-down stair kind. All I'd need to do is lock it from above and nothing could get in. Hell, electricity wouldn't even go down in the two-three weeks an infection/outbreak would last, at least it probably wouldn't, so running water is still a possibility. I could just move my chest freezer to my attic, plug it in, and I'd be set on food for a month. Fill all the containers in my house with water and I'd be fine.
  20. Or stick with the revolution. That's what I'd do. Or if not, I'd pick Brazil. Tenth largest economy in the world, largest military in latin america, almost 200 million people, I'd say it has potential. Maybe I could work with Lent and his Argentinian controlled portion of South America. 21. I was playing prototype the other day, and I was thinking it would be good for a movie. The basics of the storyline aren't complicated, it has a nice twist, and I'm sure it could be condensed into 2 hours of film. Alex would have to be a bit less of a [bleep] otherwise no one would like the movie, though.
  22. Wisp

    Today...

Can't you do that normally without jailbreaking... Otherwise I'm confused.
  23. If on pc Then hit ~ click on the corpse type in "resurrect" Hit enter hit ~ again. Then you're fine. Also if a npc gets stuck, hit ~, then type RA. Then hit enter, and they will be reset to their original position. The console is lots of fun. You can place buildings or any environment thing in the game (no doors or interiors, but it still looks cool). I made a city underwater in the ocean, and populated it with friendly daedras that could talk, that I made in the game editor.
  24. If you have better heads, definitely get better bodies. It's also one of the easiest mods to install, since they made an installer for it.
  25. Interesting fact: You actually walk faster if you're in first person. Unless a mod messed that up, I think that's how it originally was.
