Maze
Does anybody here still play this game? It's better than Oblivion in my opinion. This thread is for all Morrowind discussion.
Dizzle229
Honestly it would have been good if it had Oblivion's combat, but the Morrowind combat system ruins it. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Lionheart_0
Well at the time, yes the game was much better. I tried playing it few months ago though, and combat is something I have a hard time with, especially after playing Oblvion. Had a much better environment and story, but its just that damn combat. ElkNight
I loved this game when I played it a long time ago. I never actually managed to do the main quest, it was to hard. :( But I still got like 70+ hours on the game, easily. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! Georgelemmons
Basically just walk up and hit the monster until 1 of you die. Otherwise, great game. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <
Wisp
I love this game. I've modded it almost beyond recognition, using my mods and others. It now looks more like oblivion, the main quest is redone, you can build buildings anywhere (actually, you can grow telvanni towers), you can hire guards and servants, you can go to areas that are bigger than the main continent and are more filled with quests and the like. All the npcs including monsters are redone texture wise, people are redone mesh and texture wise. Plus I have about 400 other mods including weapons, houses, clothing mods, quests, companions and tweaks (I did most of the tweaks. Like i made all items more enchantable so you can actually do something useful with enchant) The game takes up over 50 gb on my hard drive, where as unmodded it would be maybe 2 gb (guessing). So that shows how many mods I have. Here's the visual pack I use if anyone wants it. http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Morrowind_Visual_Pack_Combined;56241 [hide=Sample][/hide] Hegemony-Spain
Skully
Is this available on the 360, I did own this on the original XBOX, but I was young and clueless of what to do because I was overwhelmed by the massive world and ended up selling it. :wall:

Though its better on PC anyway. 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! See if you can get the PC version though, it has lots of awesome mods that you can download which can make your playtime last longer. Plus you don't need a very good computer to run it. indy500fan
This is my second favourite game of all time (behind Tetris). I don't have quite the amount of mods doom has, but I do have a lot. The game has so many fond memories for me. While playing it I never really had qualms about the fighting. Sure it wasn't anything great, but I was used to the exact same fighting from my previous second favourite game of all time (Kings Field II, sadly no longer in top 10). It is mostly run up and attack, then retreat.

indy500fan
Nah, I actually mostly just did weapon/armor mods. I did have Qarl's I think it was graphic pack, but that was probably the biggest one. Oh wait, there was a whole Roman City landmass mod that I had, it was pretty awesome. I haven't played in years though, it's not even installed on my computer anymore. Wisp
One really cool house mod is ravenloft, for anyone who wants to play. There's one room that was a amazing. It's a map room, where there's an entire 3d map of morrowind, including every little bump and hill in the game, with teleporters to each location. Unbalanced, yes, but it's still amazing looking. Great mod overall. I don't really play it anymore, due to me moving on to other games, but the thing I enjoyed most near the end, was using the grow your own telvanni towers mod to build huge metropolises out in the ocean, and populating them with the console. The ai sucked, so they wouldn't really walk around on all the complicated bridges, but it was really cool. I had a 20 layer city of bridges, towers, houses, and manors all in telvanni style. That was honestly the best mod for the game, in my opinion. Hegemony-Spain

On my Redguard, I could use a house (I'm roleplaying a good character), do you know of any houses I could find?
Wisp
If you're on a pc, here are some house mods. If you need help installing them I can tell you how. Grow your own telvanni tower Ravenloft Here are some other mods that are important: Better heads. Re does all the head textures in the game, adds more faces, and hairstyles. Better bodies, replaces all the body meshes and textures. There is a detailed nude version of it (so your character doesn't have undies, not that they're always nude) but if you don't want that there's also one with no nudity, it's all in the same mod. Then the texture pack I posted earlier, makes the game good. If you're on xbox, the only houses I can think of would be to make a home in a cave, or bandit building. Or kill all the people in a dwemer ruin and make that your home. Hegemony-Spain

Wisp
Interesting fact: You actually walk faster if you're in first person. Unless a mod messed that up, I think that's how it originally was. Hegemony-Spain

I notice that too. You have a pause in your step when you walk in third person. Though the only mod I have on my game is better heads.
Wisp
If you have better heads, definitely get better bodies. It's also one of the easiest mods to install, since they made an installer for it. Hegemony-Spain
Th3_Crusader
Only thing I hate about Morrowind, is you can accidently do something and it'll altar the whole game, like if you accidently kill someone you need them to follow you, your screwed unless you saved before, or if you get stuck. Not a big fan of the sandstorms, either. It's hard to choose, I played Morrowind half my childhood, which makes it hard to part from. The Game of the Year addition is SOOO much better then the game of the year on Oblivion, though.

But yeah, always look up somebody before you kill them to make sure they aren't important.

If on pc Then hit ~ click on the corpse type in "resurrect" Hit enter hit ~ again. Then you're fine. Also if a npc gets stuck, hit ~, then type RA. Then hit enter, and they will be reset to their original position. The console is lots of fun. You can place buildings or any environment thing in the game (no doors or interiors, but it still looks cool). I made a city underwater in the ocean, and populated it with friendly daedras that could talk, that I made in the game editor.
