  1. Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia have joined Brazil. Brazil asks the UK to finally relinquish the Falkland Islands. Also, Brazil's roadway system is now fully modernized, and work across SATO countries has begun.
  2. He wouldn't lose any more from his budget than he would if the Swiss weren't providing power anyways. Not really. He can't sell essentially infinite energy that he gets for free for the same price as it used to be. The price of a kw is probably less than a penny for him now, which means that he's making no money back, and the cost to run all the nuclear plants and all is getting no money back ,and he's losing money.
  3. "As of now I have been building desalinization plants" That sentence seem wrong... Either your starting now, or you were building them before. Your economy has become dependent on the swiss, if they ever shut off power, you might have some, but nowhere near enough. If you build enough, and have a surplus of power, then you'll lose a ton of money from your budget. Of course the Rhine isn't the only source of water, but you don't really understand the importance of rivers to agriculture, and trade.
  4. Well, that was extremely stupid Grim. You put yourself in a situation of dependence to Archi, where not only do you have a majorly reduced agricultural and trading setup, but if he ever become enemies with you, then he can flip the switch and you have no electricity.
  5. That wouldn't help, Draining an ocean and giving back 1/4th as a compromise wouldn't help anyone.
  6. Well, what was the agreement? Also, couldn't Grim just, you know, fly over the mines with helicopters? Or use, god forbid, mine clearers, or perhaps just heavily armored transports?
  7. So it probably wrecks agriculture in about 5 different countries. Plus trade is also kinda wrecked, as it kills tons of canals and all that. Germany, how do you feel about Switzerland draining one of your most important rivers?
  8. So what your saying is it's completely overpowered? That means it produces the equivalent of 104,685,360,000 barrels of oil. That's 63 exajoules, or 1,774,000,000 megawatt hours. Being able to make something like that in a few years is stupid.
  9. Electric cars really aren't much greener than any other type of car, the electricity has to come from somewhere. For the record, the hydrogen we produce is through electrolysis, and that's powered by "green" sources, like a single newly made nuclear plant, and in the future two more dedicated plants, and one hydroelectric plant. And Dusty, I meant people guaranteeing someone a monopoly.
  10. Quality cars that run on something directly derived from water, and emits only water? I think that's better.
  11. Well I mean Retech gets a great deal. But all the countries he did it in are [bleep]ed.
  12. Monopolies have to be negotiated with the country you're setting up in. Seeing as there are no other Hydrogen Fuel Cell manufacturers, I have a monopoly on H-Cars. Governments have nothing to do with it.
  13. So the governments agreed to shutting down all domestic car manufacturers, all non Japanese dealers, banning all used car sales, and forcing probably a significant percent of their population into unemployment, as well as bankrupting millions of stockholders? Good job, guys.
  14. Oh, a monopoly on Algae fueled cars. So? Fine, Hyrdaus starts opening up dealerships in Europe. I now have a monopoly on Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars.
  15. How exactly do you expect to get a monopoly? The government can't outright ban cars not made by you.
  16. Whatever. Ok, the 2016 Olympics in Rio are in a few hours. The stadiums are completed, and the opening ceremony is prepared, all that.
  17. Still, testing takes most of the time. For example, a prototype of the Raptor was created with essentially all the technology of the original, but testing took over a decade I think.
  18. I'm building the factories, and researching. They'll be done at the same time. And I have around 1000 in reserve now. Oh, I forgot to put that in, it's not going in all at once, it's over around 5 years.
  19. The Native Preservation act has been officially passed, and all native tribes are now left alone without major government permits, and the majority of the Amazon is now fully protected. The government does have a few areas specially reserved for safaris, so wealthy westerners can travel there in a more controlled environment without messing the ecosystem up by going into places illegally and acting stupid. The solar roofs project has been an overwhelming success in cities, Rio, Brasilia, and Sao Paulo are now effectively energy independent, along with some smaller cities. In similar news, an early prototype of nanofibers is being used in a new design for solar panels, making them much more efficient (though more pricey originally). 85% of all cars in Brazil (and around 45% of all in SATO) are now produced by Hydraus, and are thus powered by fuel cells. A few military factories were finished earlier this year, producing our new model of tank, as well as light infantry transports. Next year factories for the new helicopters will be started. Our goal is to make helicopters significantly more powerful, and less at risk from rpg's, as advanced countermeasures are being researched. SATO has started a wealth fund, and a total of 1000 tonnes of gold from all the states has been added to it (350 from Brazil). Major education reforms are finally being put into place, with secondary schools and elementary schools especially popping up all around major population areas, as well as more rural areas. This is especially noticeable in the newest, developing cities. Also, a new research has begun, Project Scatter.
  20. The S-Net thing is getting stupid. Look at the internet, does the internet have one opinion?
  21. I meant more along the lines of quieter helicopters. I'm sure it's possible, somehow. If not, oh well.
  22. Brazil continues all it's projects, though GDP growth is falling back to just a above real world numbers. Crime rate drops even lower. We're now focusing on developing advanced helicopters, including lots of anti-missile systems, stealth technology, and so on.
  23. Sere, the 1% is for extra projects. Considering the majority of real life expenses are ignored, 5% of taxes is fairly generous.
  24. Where's the Golem at? Vera heads there.
