  1. We were allies, but no terran people were ever moved onto this continent, much less to the habitats. There was never any need to tell you. If you don't know where they are, it is basically impossible for you to get to me. I could just rig explosives and collapse everything except for the bottom levels, and I'm unfindable. I have my fleet+ork-orz+Archis, I guess. And that wasn't a lot of my time, that was maybe 20% of a few weeks here and there. Fine, then Sere did.
  2. 1: You don't know where the compounds are. 2: They've been expanding downward constantly, so the more you destroy the harder it would be to get to the humans. 3: Even if you did beat them on Earth, that's a small chunk of my population. I still have a way bigger fleet than you. 4: We were at peace. I never declared war on you. So your argument of ending the game peacefully is pointless.
  3. But in terms of actual economic power, Switzerland isn't that high. I said in terms of scale. And ok, then why isn't their chaos everywhere in real life? Because that's how the world works. Let's stick to 1% of gdp.
  4. Debt. I assume. Archi, a lot is based on gold, but it's also a system of debt, and trade in things other than gold. Switzerland's not on the chart because it's not a major economic country, in scale.
  5. http://www.globalfirepower.com/reserves-of-foreign-exchange-and-gold.asp It's not about smaller countries, it's about gold. Brazil is the fifth largest country population wise, and I think the fifth biggest size wise, and then I can't remember which GDP wise, but it's in the top 10. So I'm not a small country, but not everything should be based on gold.
  6. Also, foreign exchange: http://www.globalfirepower.com/reserves-of-foreign-exchange-and-gold.asp That site is great for this game, by the way.
  7. Archi, all that does is it makes it so that the countries that start with large amounts of gold can trade, and no one else can, and is essentially living in a bubble. In gold reserves Brazil is worth like what, 900 million dollars? In GDP we're a trillion and something a year. The way we had it last game was better, only it should be even more strict. Let's say you tax about 20% on average, you take 5% of that and that's your budget. So, 1% a year. Money worked fine until we got to a scale where using it was impracticable.
  8. I tax a few companies with multi billion dollar revenues from this area, over several years, and get a few hundred million dollars. Little different than that.
  9. Archi, it's not like every time someone sells something they trade in gold. While that is the base value of a country's money, it is not the only measure. For example, if I were to take a million Brazilian Reals, and exchange them at banks in the US, I would have a millionish USD. No gold involved. And 150 million dollars is still essentially nothing, so it's irrelevant. Overall: my point is that gold is a base, but not the only measure.
  10. Dusty, that works fine, except we're more than self sustaining. There's far more room under the surface of a planet than the surface itself. In order to preserve our surface-land, we grew most of our food underground and then brought it to the surface. Siege is irrelevant.
  11. So I have about 800 million people on the surface in cities, and then a classified number underground. So, you can kill the 800 easily, but underground can't be beat. They can't *win* , but they can't lose either. Sure, you could glass the entire continents but that wouldn't kill them.
  12. I'm spending gold reserve now? And 150 million dollars (I assume that's what we're talking about) is nothing. The money I gained from overtaxing companies before they left will more than cover that.
  13. There is no physical way the Aryans can win on Earth. Alpha Centauri- There's a good 20 million people there. They are all evacuated as off this post, I have more than enough ships in that area. Also, if the Aryans can go through dimensions, so can we, if we capture even one of their ships. And their entire solar system will be destroyed.
  14. TFED doesn't know the direction of my system. No one does. You're covering a 18460000000000000 mile circumference with 20,000 ships. You're not finding [cabbage].
  15. Can someone explain what's happened since monday? Ok, Brazil should have had some success, and solar fields are being erected. Favelas have been on the decline over the past few years, and thus the average gdp is going up. Education is also going up. Drug crime is majorly down aswell, since there's no need for smuggling, and in fact drug use has gone down slightly overall.
  16. Nah, Ross, there are a huge number of systems in that area range, and since you can't see forward in time you can't see any of my population there. You could narrow it down to about 6000 systems though.
  17. 95% of my population is in a system you don't know the location of. Around 500 lightyears away.
  18. I did. I've gone against 90% of his stargate [cabbage] but he does it anyway. Ok, ZPM's do not exist. As of now. Pow.
  19. So what'd I miss, and are we on 1 day=1 year now?
  20. Whatever, I can still beat dusty. I have more production power, and ZPM's aren't that much more important than cold fusion. I just got back from camping for a week.
  21. Ok, now I'm gone for a few days. Everything I said will continue. As well as money being invested in infrastructure, and funding independent research into industrial lasers, and so on. Roads will be improved as well. All of the Amazon (minus a bit on the edges) is now a federal nature reserve, and anyone attempting to abuse that will face major punishment. Also, construction of an emergency government hq in an unknown place has begun (think Cheyenne mountain, only hidden)
  22. Indonesia would be less likely to be pressured BECAUSE they're a democracy. Think, if Obama died in the US, we wouldn't me more susceptible to joining over to another country. Singapore would never agree, given their history, and the fact their quite successful on their own. Malaysia, who knows. Papua new guinea is the only one that slightly makes sense. Your argument for singapore and South Korea joining is like: "They're doing ok on their own, so they'd love to join us because we could make them a bit better." That's like the US asking Canada to join, no way that would happen.
  23. I think 1/1 would be easier for everyone, but it's up to you. Oh, can I make a suggestion? Whenever someone invades an NPCC, either you, me, or if he plays, Ross (unless archi wants to) moderates. Seeing as we're both in the Americas, where everyone else is in Eurasia, I think we can be somewhat unbiased. I'm gone til friday, so what I said will continue until then.
