It's just that magnesium strips aren't very common compared to rust (Which we would be seeing a lot of in an apocalyptic world) and aluminum. Of course, napalm requires oil.
-
My estimates are this. 19 million people, GDP of about 70 billion, a lot less poverty, better infrastructure, and no piracy. Your country was previously owned by someone who attacked me unprovoked, I conquered them, and took control of the country.
-
I live in the woods and own like 200 acres, and there are no suburbs near me. The closest thing are some housing developments. Course the biggest city in my state has like 60k people.
-
It does, but it acts a fuse, and it's pretty uncommon. So thermite would be easier to use if napalm could ignite it.
-
Homemade napalm isn't really a liquid. It's more of a gel. It has the same texture as . I don't know if homemade burns hot enough to ignite thermite. I could check in a couple weeks, if you all want. It would be hard to mix it together, but not impossible. It would be tough to do. The best bet would be to make a bit of napalm, put thermite on top of that, then add more oil and Styrofoam. Then just mix it around.

Just for the sake of it, here's a list of some major mineral production in my colonies: Copper: 8.8 million tonnes (about 78% of worldwide production) Iron:410 million tonnes, (About 1/4th-1/3rd of worldwide production) Diamonds: 61% of world production, including synthetics. Gold: 1024 tonnes (52% of world production) Silver: 9300 tonnes (55.1% of world production) Tin: 60,000 tonnes (20% of world production) Oil: 13 million barrels a day. For the record, we produce much more than we need. (about 20% of world production) This is as of 2009, so numbers are lower than it would be in real life., but the percentages should remain about the same
-
I gather approximately 1/3rd of the iron on earth. The holy empire has another third, then a combination of Australia and russia makes up the other third.
-
Just saying, an asteroid doesn't provide much faster mining. It just has a lot more minerals left than on earth My nations in total are producing close to 420 tonnes of iron a year. That's more than a few ships can do. Think about it, your production facilities are on earth. If a ship could carry 10 tons of iron (which is probably pushing it), how would you get it down to earth? It's not like you can just drop it down. Just because you have ships capable of getting to asteroids doesn't mean that mining will be faster. Dusty, what type do you want? A harvester, which harvests rare gases from gas planets (helium-3 is one of the main components of our reactors, but it's only reasonably found on jupiter), or a asteroid mining ship. Also, a solar battery won't make ships go too fast.

Ah right. I guess it's not as important, unless it's a last second order change. Anywho, all Brazilian soldiers and citizens have been removed from Somalia, and Kenya, and all Brazilian funded projects there have stopped, giving full control to the new owners. 50% of naval bases along the americas have been completed. At max production, we could put out a good 66 destroyers or frigates every year, or 10 submarines. 66 aircraft carriers every 3 years. That's at max. I'm not producing more than a few a year now.

Ross, I'm just saying, a satellite battlenet is a bad idea. Not because of anything like terminator, but because of reaction time. If your satellite was at a decent distance up (too low would be impossible for anything of any size), here's how it would work. Robot sends constant stream of info to battlenet. Each bit of data takes about .3 seconds to reach it. Considering the computers handling tens of millions of these bits of data, it'll take probably .1 seconds to process it, and then send it back to the bot. So in total you have .6-.7 second time. That may seem like nothing, but it's the equivalent of playing an online game with 700 ping. Also Dusty, since I've just given up two of my countries, if anyone else joins, can you give them one of yours if needed?

The ship itself doesn't move, so that wouldn't help at all. The space around the ship moves.

Stone, South Africa is one of the few countries that you wouldn't want. There are about 5,000 people there, all who are only receiving food from me, since it's still unsuitable for farmland, and would starve very quickly. Plus, because of that, it's unclaimable as well, because the only things there, are things I put there, and funded directly. I offered you Somalia. Take it or leave it.

She is also under 18. Sometimes I wonder with you guys :uhh: As are most of the people here. Not all, but most.

400 more habitats have been completed, and production in the USA, Quebec and Mexico is complete. We are now focusing on central and South America. We'll start with central america, and move down. Most cities that have unoccupied Habitats near them are being demolished for salvage materials. We aren't, of course, demolishing important coastal trade cities, production cities, capital cities, or other cities with a lot of history, or are important for some strategic reason. We've slashed our military budget a great deal, now that all civilians have completed basic and intermediate training, and we have armories in all cities. All of our excess budget is going towards these habitats, and producing the last of our Desta class of battleships. The only army part we're keeping on the budget is a million of our best soldiers, who will be kept in cryogenic sleep at various locations, so they will be ready should war ever break out. They were selected based on their skill, and lack of families, so they won't be missed if they are in sleep for an indefinite period of time. They will all receive substantial amounts of money once they are eventually released from duty, but for now, the only costs we need to pay for them is the cost of keeping them in sleep. We do still have border guards, and a few hundred thousand marines. We've completed our new class of hypersonic planes. They will be detailed later, but they are not for bombing purposes, and they are significantly faster than our other type. They cost 3 billion each. We are planning on building 50 overall. We've also completed a new line of normal planes. They're basically just more advance versions of what we had before, with better weaponry, armor, targeting, and so on. Our new line of destroyers and frigates have also just come out of R&D. The destroyers are smaller ships, armed mostly with railguns and cruise missiles, designed for a low stealth cross section and higher speeds than most ships. Our frigates are a bit heavier, equipped for advanced anti air, and anti-submarine jobs. They have our advanced targeting systems, so we are more likely to be able to shoot down hypersonic planes (but still not very likely) and much more likely to hit normal planes. Both ships are designed for much smaller crews than previous boats of their type, so our navy size will decrease as we produce more of those ships, and slowly replace our older ones. EDIT: Both these were put into R&D about a week and a half ago, I think. I might find the post if it's necessary. Summary: We're cutting back on military manpower, increasing efficiency of who we have, with more advanced technology. This allows us to invest more in our habitats, and ship production. Also, stone, there aren't any major diamond mines in Kenya. I researched where all my diamonds are coming from, and kenya isn't one of those places.

Well, Aussies never were one for obeying laws. Hell, we're the country of convicts. I like airsoft over paintball, though I've only paintballed a coupla times, and only airsofted (is that the world?) like three times. Would an airsoft gun be even allowed there? Since they're actually designed to be realistic looking?

The moneysink is a combination of everything. Paying cops, paying military (which oddly isn't included into the disposable income, because to keep a million man army it's gonna cost you a few hundred grand a person for everything from training to actual pay, to health care and all that), repairing and building roads, tax refunds, paying government workers, welfare, education, providing bonuses to farmers, paying for prisons and prisoners, and so on.

Grim, I don't really see why hydroponics would be at all necessary. Growing an excess of food is easy, getting the food to people is the harder part. I've been investing a good chunk of my budget into new areas for living, as I've mentioned alot, for a more sustainable setup. I don't know about china and india though. Once all the facilities are completed (I need about 2500 to account for all my cities), almost my people could live in near complete safety. Another 5,000 facilities would be necessary though, over time as we grow and for those who don't live in or near cities. I don't see why he would bother reverse engineering the ships anyway, they're incapable of interstellar travel with their engine, and the hulls can't even hold at speeds that great. Here's a quote with my descriptions when I first started selling them.

Well it's not like anti-space missiles are anything new. The US launched a successful anti satellite missile earlier this year, in real life.

sohkmjl or some awkwardly spelled name.

Stone, I think you misunderstood. You asked for south africa, and I said that that was one of the countries you couldn't have, because it was completely destroyed, and the only things there are directly from my main country. I offered you Somalia.
-
Is kenya alright? I think it has coast. It's in a lot better shape than real life, less poverty and crime. It doesn't have any real military anymore, since that was absorbed into the larger part of my army, but you can always build it up. Should have about 65 million people at this point, and a gdp of 300 billion.

The USA was destroyed. The citizens died with it? >Internets >English Well the USA was destroyed a long time after I made that post. And rocco, if you want that, my planes now fly at ten billion times lightspeed, and can also drop bombs that can destroy entire cities, and also can travel backwards in time. Also, I just traveled to the past, and stopped the asteroid from extincting the dinos. We no longer exist. Mather, I'll pick a country in a sec.
-
I meant in addition to that. Spanish and English because those are the two most spoken languages in our general area.
-
You can have almost any of Dusty or my african countries. Except for a few I'd rather not lose. EDIT: RPG, the language thing is a problem for Africa. In my first or second post in the thread though I said I'd require all children to learn spanish and english, so it's not a problem in the Americas, other than some indigenous minorities, who pretty much all speak another language as well.

Do you even have a country?
