  1. I was wondering what the best way to kill Jad would be? The cost doesn't really matter and my relevant stats are: - Ranged: 89 - Defense: 87 - Hitpoints: 91 I'm also taking a rune crossbow, unholy book and adamantite bolts for the other waves. Thanks in advance. And thanks, Muggi, for this amazing guide if you still read this thread.
  2. You lose 20% of your arrows, so rune arrows would cost you about 90-100 gp per shot? If you take into account the the high ranged bonus and the special it would seem to me that it's equal or even better than a crystal bow for training. Slightly more expensive though. I should test it myself, but need to get that accumulator first. :x
  3. There are plenty of stakers with hundreds of millions or even billions, who would gladly part with a small portion of it just to test the bow out. And I'm sure some of those will buy one to see if there are any bugs with it they can abuse.* Merchants will want to get their part of the profits too. Rest assured that the first bows will be sold for tens to hundreds of millions even if their stats aren't that amazing. I'll probably use the bow to make loads of cash. For training ranged I use a cannon while I'm slaying, sometimes with a crystal bow if melee isn't efficient. So in that respect it's probably not for me. *Disclaimer: not all stakers are bug abusers and I do not intend to start a flame war over it.
  4. My idea would be to melee with protect melee on and use the cannon on one dark beast at the time. It's possible to position your cannon in a way that it will hit the monster twice per round. In combination with a whip and super set monsters die very fast. My concern would be that if the cannon hits a monster you're not yet attacking, it might start maging you and do a bit of damage while you're running at it. I think it will first try to walk towards you and melee, but I'm not sure as I can't slay them yet.
  5. I've read in Axe Man Jack's guide that they use a magic attack as soon as you try to safespot them. Does this also mean that they mage you as soon as you attack from a distance or only when there is no way of reaching you? If this is not the case, a cannon will certainly speed things up. I was wondering, since I can't kill them yet, but intend on getting 90 slayer before the update.
  6. Yes, I don't get that comment. Would you rather have 250 million in items that only lower in price or have a awesome looking hat that goes up in price? Interesting blog, Wakka. ;)
  7. Very good guide, although I don't see why you would plant special/bush/allotment seeds. I only plant water melons when I need more super compost (once or maybe twice a day). Maybe you could make a map with all the patches on it and draw out your route (lines for walking and dotted lines for teles maybe?) Are calquats really worth it if you just plant them and come back the next day? I'm going for 99 farming and I can get a load of those seeds for a reasonable price. Thanks in advance.
  8. It's a moved topic (you can even see it in that picture). Edit: I was too late. :(
  9. Finally I know why I lag at certain spots in RS. It's almost exactly where those white lines are... It's all clear now...
  10. I find that very hard to believe. :-k I myself can do an abyss run in 1.5 minutes. I have 52 essence with me, because super energy potions and an ectophial (to escape pkers) take up two spots. Remember that pouches break every now and then, so at times I will have 49 essence with me. This means I craft an average of 2,000 essence per hour. If I buy pure essence at 110 each, super energy potions (3) at 1.5k each and sell my natures at 350 each (the absolute maximum, at the moment almost impossible to sell for that price)... 2,000 x 2 (91 rc) x 350 = 1,400,000 But there are also alot of costs: 2,000 x 110 = 220,000 I use one super energy potion per 100 essence, so: 20 x 1,500 = 30,000 Total cost is 250,000 Total profit: 1,400,000 - 250,000 = 1,150,000 Or did you forget to subtract the costs? 1.1m per hour seems impossible to me without energies, they get me 50% more nats per hour and about 42% more profit. So I would make about 790k profit per hour. Or maybe there's some rc secret I'm not aware of...
  11. Duke, you should get your own page on tip.it, with (weekly, monthly,...) updates on rare prices and strange things that happen to the economy. _If_ you have the time and commitment for it. Would be alot easier than these articles and I think alot of people will be interested in it. Edit: I too would be interested in seeing you get a phat / certain amount of gp / ... on a new charachter :) .
