Peronix Posted January 12, 2006 Share Posted January 12, 2006 Seeing as how they require 90 slayer, I was wondering, has anybody really slayed enough of them to find out if they dropped anything special, like the abbysals drop whips? bigmoneyak Posted January 12, 2006 Share Posted January 12, 2006 The Dark beasts don't have a bank busting new drop. But they do drop the death tally, which will save you loads of time in ME2. And they guard access to a fairly exclusive rune rock for you to mine. So I guess that is the reward. Rather than hoping they add a drop to them, I hope they release a lvl 95 slayer required monster with a new highly sought riches making drop. Lol, just Lol Cause an npc that requires 90 slayer (there are only 500 90+ slayers, or something in those lines) supposedly drops those things often, the price will go down. While most of these slayers are doing other things than training on dark beasts. Noooooo. There are also 2 90+ slayers here that confirm its not true. And those 90+ slayers are mosty busy with other things. Hehe... Also, 2 90+ slayers here confirm its not true. Its not true... I killed about 4 k of them. Best drop was death tally. Someones probally said it, the rest of the community ran with it. A whips a better drop than a DLH in my opinion anyway. Ive gotten 3 dlh at the abyssal demons. Nothing at DB. DB area worthless monster like te mogres and the skeletal wyverns. They only remain a mystery because not very many people can kill it and those that can don't. And now, let us all reminisce back to when nobody knew what the new piece of Dragon equipment was going to be, and I myself designed a new Dragon Kite and Warhammer and some Dragon Boots. I personally think theres a new item (I think a shield) with that same kind of rarity and no one has killed enough yet to ge it. And about the Dust Devil thing .. actually Mod Tom said something about it on the official forums when they came out. He described it, though, as being ... "About 50 times rarer than getting a left half from a Fire Giant." And then one of the other Mods said that he should have used Dragon Medium in his analogy instead of Left Half, and then they got into a big agruement over which one is rarer ... EDIT: After MUCH searching, I still cannot find the update on RS.com where the Dust Devils were added. Can anybody tell me what day, or even what month they were added to the game? I am almost certain the update said something about Dust Devils dropping SOMETHING ... Was porbably a hint at the Dragon Chain. Oh yeah. That's right. If not dragon boots will come with some level 92 or 95 slayer monster. I think dragon boots will be dark best drop. If you look at the pattern created by gargoyles, nechronels, and abbysals is a special drop from the former + addy boots, rune boots from the next, another special drop from abbysals (whips) so I infer from that that dragon boots would be a likely drop. I don't think they will add any slayer monsters after that because 90 alone is an insane level. The exp for level 85-90 is 64% of the work needed to get ot 85 slayer in the first place. :? ...which is enough exp in itself to get you from level 1-80 slayer :shock: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
