Well, just 3 days ago my brother completely beat Guitar Hero II on all four difficulty levels. He's been playing real guitar for the past 3 years now (he's 12 years old now).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now that he's beaten the whole game on Expert he's working on getting 5 stars on all the songs. I'm 16 and I can only beat a couple of the songs on Hard. :oops:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, anyone think of this as a good accomplishment for a 12-year old? If you've never played Guitar Hero II, disregard this thread, but if you have, you know it is not an easy feat to complete all the songs on Expert.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Secondly, if anyone wants to share their stories of accomplishment or troubles on the game or post links to any videos of them playing. I know there's tons of them on youtube.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I don't really know how popular of a game GH2 is with the Tip.It community but we'll soon find out. Just consider this the Guitar Hero Discussion Thread. Blah Blah Blah Blah... i'm boring myself. I've beat the game on all difficulties as well, congratulations to him 12 really isn't that young, though. Still a job well done. There's a Guitar Hero competition on Tuesday at my school, I'm pretty excited.

im a relative n00b on guitar hero, being that i've 5-starred all easy songs (i think) with like 8 of em perfect, and completed medium, but im stuck going up to hard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i've messed about a few times on expert though, and its pretty solid, so finishing all the songs on expert must be quite an achievement.

Why is everyone saying teh not the?

I know what you're saying. Don't worry my bro isn't like that. He's been playing guitar for a while, and for 12 year-old, i think he's pretty damn good. Some of his ones that I like the most are by System of a Down, Green Day, Blink 182, Lynard Skynard(sp?), Disturbed, Dragonforce, and more. He's also written two songs that i think are pretty sweet. I play bass, and when i see him play my jaw drops. lol

are you talking about a song by Dragonforce? cuz my brother and I saw a video on youtube of some guy playing a Dragonforce song on GH2 but we were totally confused on how in the hell he got this song. It wasn't on the new GH2 for xBox or anything either. And by the looks of it, ya it was much harder than freebird (which with a little practice of the sweeping in the song, isn't too hard really)

You write the note chart on the computer and re-burn the Guitar Hero disc with that song on it in place of a different one already set into the game. You then need a mod chip in your Playstation to play the game. It's not exactly legal.

Hangar 18 was the hardest for me when I played medium mode, but on hard and expert it just lifts off your fingers so nicely

yeah so true my mate use to bum guitar hero then he got a real guitar because of it, he can play it but he's not gonna be amazing or anything....

 

either play the game and guitar, play guitar, or play the game...don't play the game and then decide to play guitar....

I just got the game last night for my Xbox 360. It's really fun, I only beat easy last night and am now like 1/3 of the way through medium, and its quite entertaining. I understand that I can't or never will play the guitar, and am not any better at it because of this game, but its fun pretending haha. #-o
