Could of spent abit more time if you want improvement on such things as the ammy (Something people seem to complain about being too thin, too fat etc alot), work with shading and the effect your trying to accomplish in the picture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The light source I'm going to assume would be coming from the magic so yeah you get the idea, maybe work abit more with the background too (Stars and whatever else).

that magic blast doesnt fit with the style of the pic and the background is too empty and too dark

It does need shading and all, but its a big step in the right way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To improve it, read some shading tutorials at the Gallery FAQ. :wink:

I think that this has potential. Things to improve on:

 

 

 

- There are spots that haven't been coloured.

 

 

 

- The magic blast thing needs to be redone to fit with the style (I can't think off the top of my head how it should look, maybe some trial and error...).

 

 

 

- The staff, should be smoother, as just about everything else in the picture is quite smooth.

 

 

 

- The bottom half of the amulet seems to square off.

 

 

 

- I think it should be shaded, although I think only one other shade should be used (similar to the way only one shade is used for shadow on the guy's face).

 

 

 

- somthing in the background maybe (stars, moon, trees, that kinda thing).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At the moment I would give it a 5/10
