Why would Runescape be running so slow on...

There are so many reasons why it could be running slow that perhaps, oh I don't know, you should give more details?

And just a few of them:

- Internet connection

- Spyware

- Virus

- Too many other processes going on

ect. ect.

Well you were asked to provide more information and you declined. Perhaps you should re-read the stickies again about asking for help effectively?

ok if your 100% sure you dont have virus and you dont have a lot fo processes running

did you rerun the cable for your t3, or anything like that?

like run a cable from to a different spot?

if you did they your getting some kind of interference with power wires

see im assuming that t3 uses wires almost everything else does, but im not sure how t3 works. but that would be my guess

If you can't offer any insight, why bother posting?

Because you already concluded you have no spyware, you have no virus', you claim to be playing on a T3 line (which I very much doubt) and concluded on your own that it must be a network issue.

You got the vague replys because you asked a vague question. There are hundreds if not thousands of factors that could lead to RS being slow. Dieing hardware, bad java install, bad routing, crappy signal strength over the line, RS servers having issues. We could go on and on. We are not mind readers. We do not magically know what is wrong. Claiming you have a T3 pipe tells me you are either wasting money on a line you can't use (since you don't know how to troubleshoot something simple like RS) or you're pulling it out of thin air to look cool.

If you ask a vague question, you will get a vague answer.

I would check to see if you have the latest version of Java as well as up to date graphics card drives.

If you have recently installed new ram then I would check that it has been recognized and the virtual memory has increased itself.

Its either T1 or T3. I'm playing from a college university, therefore I know its one or the other. I don't need to brag about an internet connection to look cool, nor would I go out of my way to make one up. As to the person who mentioned the java update, would Sun prompt me if an update was available or should I just go to the site?

Thanks to whomever suggested the Java tip, although this would be out of my hands anyway as I do not have administrator privileges.
