Cooking- The cold truth

Featured Replies

Off Topic: My first post since ive been back! Yay!

The main point:Why do people always sport a cooking cape? Yes, it is easy to level, but what will 99 cooking give you? Yes, the ability to cook food without burning it more often, but really. 91 cooking is for cooking manta rays, plus you need 81 fishing and you must go on the Fishing Trawler, which is VERY time consuming. My freind sometimes uses the trawler, but usually only gets about 5 mantas at a time if she is lucky.

I mean jagex, come on. Theyre have been no MAJOR cooking updates since we can remember. Cooking needs more added features instead of standing in front of a range or shaking cocktails.

Maybe we could add a new depth, such as making dishes such as buttered salmon or something. Cooking should be more complicated than just using something on a stove, but for the few cooking items that do use ingredients, thats ok. Runescape could improve the chef's guild, and maybe we would be able to use different spices, flavorings, toppings, ect, to change our foods.

Cooking already has what it needs as a skill, and I think that Jagex should focus more on less developed skills, but an improved cooking guild would really help.

Has two bites, and 1 bite does:

11hp healing

10% energy healing

+5 Agility (temporarly ofcourse)

If this isnt good for training agility, I dont know what is...

more fish and more things for f2p and p2p to cook

How does 20 minutes turn into 2.5 hours? Was your math perhaps magical math?

Jagex wouldn't add things for F2P because then less Non-members would become members and less members would stay member.

So...

well but there are still much more things for p2p t odo so people will stay p2p duh!

people level in cooking because its easy to get 99 in, raises total level, and acheivement capes offer pretty good def bonuses.

that being said, cooking does need some areas developed, such as it's guild, but this is unlikely to happen as it is basically a support skill, like firemaking.

Cooking doesn't need more depth.

Jagex recently added a load of different things that can be cooked - and made butter nigh impossible to get in any reasonable quantity, though they did help out on the cheese a little bit.

Churn-X is what cooking needs. Nerf the xp down to near nothing for dairy products if you must, but give us mass butter & cheese.

Cooking is good all ready but I think the guild could be improved. For example 32 cooking to enter? A bit low if you asks me. And consider it a guild they might make the things in the guild spawn faster, I haven't seen anyway you can make loads of wine easy because the berries spawns slowly. And maybe a little fishing spot that you have to pay to use, there is a range in fishingguild so why not a fishing spot in cookings guild?

Runescape could improve the chef's guild,

Wondering how that's gonna work out.

But the chef's guild really should be COMPLETELY REVAMPED.

So...

Not true. If f2p had a couple more items how many people would give up the hundreds of items that p2p gets?
