I want to play some of the final fantasty games, but I only have a PS1. But I also have a gc/xbox. Are there any FF games for gc/xbox? and what are the FF games for the ps1?

For the Ps1 there are 7, 8 and 9. That's a fine choice to have :) Get them all, you won't regret it.

There's also a remake of FFVI, I believe.

You can also get Final Fantasy 1 and 2 for the Playstation. They're bundled together in "Final Fantasy origins", and I think they rereleased 4 and 5 on the PS1 as well. If you hunt around on sites like ebay you might find a couple of copies of Final Fantasy tactics. That's worth playing if you can find a cheap copy.

 

 

 

But ya, stick with 7 8 and 9. They're all classic games. ^^

 

 

 

On the gamecube you could buy Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, but I thought that was an awful game. Certainly it was unworthy of the brandname. Only buy it if you have 3 friends for multiplayer.

 

 

 

If you have a game boy player, you should also give Final Fantasy tactics Advance a try. That was a fantastic game!

for the ps1 theres 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 - the first 6 are remakes of older ones

I'm actually playing FF7 on the PC these days. My God, I love this game.

Im pretty sure you can get 1-9 on the ps1, but it would be pretty hard to find them in stores, as most stores no longer stock play station games. my personal favorite of all the final fantacy games would be ff 10, which is currently only available on the ps2/3 and (illegal) ROM's. If I were you, I would go for ff 8 for the play station, that was always my favorite until 10.

:? You are gonna have a hard time finding 1/2, 4, 5/6 7,9 in stores. 7 took me forever, and it was a used game at that. 8 should be easy, alot of people seemed to of gotten rid of them now.

 

 

 

I would suggest you get 1/2 dawn of souls for the GBA, same with 4-6 Advance for the GBA. If you feel good enough, go buy 3 for DS (if you dont have a GBA, just buy a DS and buy 1-6, and play them all on the DS).

I don't know which route Bubsa took, but i do know you used to be able to buy 7 and 8 for the computer. 8 didn't do so well, so they stopped computer ones (till 11 of course).

 

 

 

Trust me, unless it is a used game, you will not find any FF 7 or 8 for computers.

Lion's right, I dug out my old PC version of the game from some dark and dusty place I don't want to visit again for a long time..

 

 

 

Had to download a smeg load of patches from all over the bloody place just to get it to work on XP, play sound etc. Worth it though, totally worth it.

I definatly recommend FF tactics for the PS1, that is if you can find a copy.

I think FF7 is hard to find, I have a copy somewhere but I can't find it.

For the GC, there's Crystal Chronicles, not a bad game, it's like Kingdom Hearts, run around and kill/dodge attack style. For the PS1, FF7, if you can find one. They are usually on Ebay or, if you're lucky, Gamestop or a random gaming store.

FF7 and 8 are the two you should get if you're limited on cash, but if you're not, i'd suggest 7, 8 and 9...and I'm assuming that because you've never played a Final Fantasy, Tactics would be pretty hard for you to get the hang of, so I wouldn't suggest it unless you're good at strategy games (it's really more of a strategy game than an rpg, it's not the same gameplay as the others at all). FF7 is either tied or is my favorite game, 8 and 9 are probably at 5th and 10th respectively on my imaginary favorite games list.

Absolutely. 6 is brilliant, and always underrated in the 'best of' polls.

Ive only ever played 1/4 of 6, and can gladly say that it is the best FF story wise!

No belive me, Play the first final fantasy3 on snes and you'll see. I haven't played 6 all the way through yet but 3 has the same characters from terra to kifka. (I hammered him with ultima when I fought him in the tower. It was really fun, even gau knew ultima.)
