My little pony :D

Featured Replies

Yus well...

It's a caveman running with his pony friend @_@

It all just came out of my fixation with practicing leggies in MSPaint. Also, I've never drawn a horse before, and I didn't use refs for anything >_<. To be honest, I've never even ridden a horse. D:

Taxing work I tells ya. I had to draw this with a touchpad on my laptop D:

So anyways, I'm thinking of pixelizinating this. Got it, Yo. So, um give me inspiration, crits, comments, and anything else you might have laying around.

Also, please don't edit or do anything of that nature unless you are confident that IMPROVEMENT will be made from it. ;P

Oh, for those interested, this took me a total of 26 minutes :handpains:

anatomy looks good but it looks like u put in his manhood >.> g-rated?

  • Author

I thought I made sure to fuzzy that up @_@

I don't think it's considered inappropriate, it's not like it's noticeable without straining one's mindpowaz.. Some people just have a mind drawn to the dwellings of the crotch ;P

However, I think his head's small.. Could someone verify this plz ;@@@

Is this Jondalar?

Looks like you've been reading Jean M. Auel lately ;)

Especially considering the manhood-discussion :P

just noticed, his right leg is a bit skinny

Hmm unless he's an amputee I'd say he's bending his left leg back behind him, therefore stretching or flexing his leg mussels, making his left leg look bigger than the right.

Pink is quite right, there is a bit of extreme perspective involved, as his left leg is so close to the viewer, but yes, it is mainly that when one lifts their leg whilst running, the muscles are strained, depending on your fitness level, and your speed whilst running.

Korla, you'll have to elaborate. I have no idea what you're talking about ;P

lol nice fix lol

dont you think that his right leg is a bit short and thin? and well his left leg looks almost like its not actually there :-k

otherwise great

Awr, I can see the image! D: Can someone rehost, my router blocks it.

Regarding perspective crits, not particularly valid, because of aforementioned reasons. @_@

Regarding foreshortening, and limbs with hiddens bits; all will be far more clear when I colour. Hopefully a bit of depth will improve the readability.

he doesnt look like hes running in reply to ur reply to my post. it looks like hes standing there 1 legged due to the posistion of his arms.

Yar, well... In my defence, my drawing skills fail D:

Kinda hard to express angled limbs without proper shading and stuff @_@

his left leg is straight, not angled. it looks broken if hes gonna be running

  • Author

It most certainly is angled.. About 30 degrees from vertical.

mmk well your running into the issue we all face eventually... motion in drawing...for me it was the point where i finished a drawing and was like why the @#$% does my guy look like he is balanceing on one knee?!

Basically for me the answer was to say more is better... exagerate the motion that you are drawing... i know your gonna hate me for saying this but that whole ball-line-muscle-shadeing/clothes things really helps to show motion... obviuosly you probably aren't going to want to scratch that lovely sketch though..

when drawing a person running towards the end of the picture the motion is forawds... therefore the person should be slanting forwards a bit and the arms should be right at his sides... your left are is good but you need to move it away from his body a bit... unless he has some kind of muscle thingy when you run and you get it in your side (what are those called btw? senior moment :-w )

his left (our right) arm needs some work... i rarely see people running with thier hands down... (drags on the respatory system or somsuch) he needs to have his arm a bit higher a tad farther back and bent some more... do that and its teh sex...

can't wait to see this piece pixeled <3:
