Raw and Cooked Shark Price Drop?

Featured Replies

think of it like this... the autoers are catching loads of sharks, transfering them to their main account, and now they cant sell them. They have created a such an economy that they cant sell the stuff they illegally caught. eventually they will move to something else, and prices will jump back up again.... all in good time... my advice, if your not money hungry, keep your sharks or yews or ess** or whatever raw materials you have, and eventually they will go back up to "regular" prices

**ess drop is not a result of an "above normal" amount of bots, but rather all of the rich players bought up all of the ess in attempt to dish them out after the blood alter was to be relaeased (the new chaos route). now they have some many and need to get rid of them, hence ess selling for 90gp

I still do not know why there aren't any runecrafting-bots out there yet?! I mean, there is a lot more money in nature runes then there is in sharks. Or blue d hides.

well, there are blue dragon autoers...

i was ranging the caged greaters in the ogre enclave for clues for a few hours and i saw several bald and goteed accounts with names like 'xogheo xhe' killing blues and wearing black dhide...i hate them...

Heh I bought 30k at something like 800ea. Oh well, I don't plain Rs anymore so I won't bother.

2480+ total

Autoers most likely. (But I took advantage and maxed cooking while they were still low 8-) ) Oh, and sharks are about 600ea now :XD:

10k goes for 5m uncooked cooked goes for like 450 <.<

I'm pretty sure the reason that they have dropped so drastically over the last week or so is the " Orca leak " everyone was gearing up to catch orcas so they started selling all of their sharks. Supply and demand says there will be extra sharks. And more people selling than people buying means they have to lower prices for someone who might not have bought them to buy them

Plus autoers do have something to do with it

Haha, it wasn't because of the 'orca leak.' I made that picture half as a joke so people would suspect that prices were going down because of whales (for some reason there was a rumor that you could catch whales) - but prices on sharks were just as low when I made the picture. I'd love to brag and say I alone caused shark prices to drop, but I didn't. :P

To me its kinda funny because yew autoers caused yew logs to drop about 50-70 gp each after like 4 months or so yet shark autoers have already made sharks drop about 300 gp in 1-2 months. It also makes me extremely mad because about a month ago I bought 2k raw sharks for 850 each (a good price then) and they have just been sitting around in my bank. Then last week I saw someone selling 10k raws for 750 each and checked forums only to find that I would lose about 600k if I cook them. So right now I'm just going to keep then to see if prices go up. <.<
