What skill should I train next #2.

Hidhaeg

Recommended Posts

My skills have drastically improved since the last thread, and so has my question.

Which skill should I train to earn the most amount of money possible?

What should I train it to?

Where?

Tips?

I'm F2P, for the record. ;)

I only have around 20K, and I'm trying to get 300K for full rune before my def gets to 40.

You're not going to make a huge amount of money with those stats.

What i'd do is work towards improving a skill that will make you more money in the future.

The best would be runecrafting, but you could some money on fishing and mining with your current levels.

I'd maybe suggest picking flax and turning it into bow strings at Lumbridge Castle. You'll make some good money for your level that way.

You know you can buy full rune for less than 200k, right?

I suppose what I'm asking is which skill could I get to a "rich" level, the quickest.

EG; level **** fishing means I could get lobsters, and I'm only * levels off from that.

Which skill has the potentional of the most money making?

Which skill should I invest my time and money into increasing?

If you want to be close to "rune pure", then lay off any further defence training until you complete Dragon slayer - you'll have 40 defence after that, though that means buyin addy armour, or trusting to luck and going in with something lower (the antifire shield is a must, of course!).

On those stats, I would power fishing and cooking to level 40 for lobster, not so much to make money (though lobster is a fairly good trading supply), but to avoid spending.

Either do fly-fishing, or harpoon tuna at Karamja/Musa point - cooked Tuna sells for a minimum of 10gp at the store - not a lot, but better than dropping, as tuna is not a big seller.

Other trade stock you can already get, is Iron or rune essence - just depends if you'd rather try to beat your way into trading worlds to sell, or make lower profits smithing and selling to stores. smithing steel bars to trade might be another option.

Runecrafting: you can make triple airs, value 1260 gp per run if you can trade at 15gp per. Get to 28 and you can do triple minds, and the wilderness ditch may result in a slight increase in prices as it makes the shorter route rather annoying.

wow! really?no offence but if those are your "drastically improved stats" then i really don't wanna see your previouse stats...

but anyway, back to the point!

a good F2P money making way is all you need to have is an air talisman and 25 rune essence (need to do rune mysteries for this), go to the air altar with your 25 unnoted ess, switch to world 18 (i think) use your talisman on the altar and you should be by the runecratfting altar.

there should be many people around, some should be saying things like: "open 2k". trade you ess with them and they will give you 1-3k and 25 noted ess, leave the altar run to the nearest bank " which isnt that far", bank withdraw 25 unnoted ess and repeat =]

hope this helps

I am a new player, and I have only had this account for a few months.

Unfortuantly, some players of Runescape have REAL LIFE things they need to deal with it.

I did do air running for a while (world 16), but it just got boring.. I want something that "gives" something to the runescape economy, like selling iron bars, or selling lobsters, or something.

I also don't want to get into PKing. I hate PKers. ;)

I am now level 40 fishing and cooking.

I already have Addy armour, so should I do the 'Dragon Slayer' quest yet? I have a Rune Scimitar to go with the addy armour.

What is the reward for that quest?

maybe woodcutting. if you're going for a rune pure, getting money with yews may be effective. although you will get a lot of competition, its an easy skill to level. another big moneymaker is mining, but that takes a while. coal would be your best bet, but at level 52 it'll be hard to get a coal ore easily.

yes, flax is members only.

Know of anything else I could do to get my levels up ASAP/get a fair bit of money.

Fish lobsters on karamaja. Sell them, while they are raw. Maybe train your magic first for falador teleport. Other ways, runecrafting. Runecrafting earns heaps of money for me. Even while I was f2P. 80k profit an hour at level 44 RC? 60k if you are slow. At 33, about 50k profit an hour?!

The reward for Dragon Slayer is:

1. The ability to wear rune platebody - without the quest, rune or any decorative rune-equivalent platebody cannot be worn.

2. 18650 Defence XP

3. 18650 Strength XP

and by the way, those are some pretty low drastically improved stats

Can you get off my back? I have real life to deal with- it's a drastic improvement for me, level wise, especially from level 1 mining > 52 in around 4 months.

So STFU or GTFO of my thread. kthnx.

---

I currently have 500 iron, what'd that sell for?

Where would the best place to sell it be? I normally just sell to the shops.

I am now level 40 fishing and cooking.

So, do you think I should train my defense until 40, strength until 40, then do the quest? Or what? I'm not sure of the best thing to do.

but anyway i think if you wanna make the 200k mine iron and sell that....

and 500 can easily be sold for 50k....

for 200k you need 2k... gl

Should be quick enough, and it's training my mining whilst I do it! =D

Is there anything else I could do, that I can do when I get bored of mining? As much as I hate to admit it, it does get rather tedious.

What's the quickest way to raise my smithing, also?

the best way to train smithing is probably by making steel bars and selling around 600ea.. you could buy the coal/iron, but if you also wanted mining exp then you could mine 500 iron and 1k coal and then smelt into steel then sell for a 300k profit

Getting defence to 40, for rune with chain or rune with addy platebody, means that you end up with "wasted" defence levels after the quest.

On the other haand, you can never have too much strength, so maybe 40/40/35, Lobster for food, and an escape teleport if it goes wrong, is the solution - just don't forget the anti-fire shield, or Elvarg will toast you in one hit!

I was told by my brother (he's a member) he couldn't beat Elvarg until he was around level 60.

I am level 43...

My defense is around 39-- I ought to stop training that, so should I get my strength to 40?

What level should I attempt to beat Elvarg? Stat-wise... I have full addy, with a rune scimmy.

Where would I get this 'anti fire' shield?

...

I will train rune crafting, as soon as I hit 55 mining, what would be the quickest rune to craft, to get my RC level up?

A bit of an oxymoronic thing to say, don't you think? ;)

I might just stick with mining/smithing... I got myself my first 100K in around 6 hours.. Which isn't too bad.

When I hit a mil, I'll start merching.
