When you started making the sig, were you planning it to look like that? I highly doupt it. That is a 1 minute job that could be made by anyone (anyone that has PS). Please do not clutter up the boards with posts like this... :?

Try harder, go further.

Yeh, I didn't mean to discourage you at all. Half a year ago, I was pretty much at the same state as you are now. Try reading a few tuts and kick off there. You may get good, but it takes more time and more effort than your last try.

You can make alot of good backgrounds just messing with the filters

Main 1's ill use are under

Artistic (plastic wrap mainly)

Brush Strokes (crosshatch & dark strokes)

Disort (polar coordinates & wave) - when you use wave, you duplicate a layer, by right clicking it on your layer tool box thingy... then click duplicate layer. Then go to wave and click randomize until you get 1 u like, then lower opacity to around 50%

Render (lens flair & 3d transform) (takes alot of practice with transform, also when you use a lense flair, usually I use Sketch after it and use Chrome.)

Sketch (charcoal, chrome & halftone pattern)

Just tinker with all of those...

Also I know how to get to it without the hotkeys but to make it easier push

control+U to color it or take color out of it, tinker with that...

I learned photoshop by myself, never once read a tut... but umm maybe it shows :P Good luck

When photoshop is open, after you got what you want done, and you would like to add another layer. Go to Layer>New>Layer

A window like this:

newlayer1111ry.jpg

Should pop up, then click okay.

Now on your little side box you should see both layers inside of it like so:

layerproperties1119og.jpg

In the pink oval, is the opacity, which is basically 100 is so you only see that layer, the lower it is, the easier you can see the layer behind it... So basically you can make it invisible or barely visible.

In the red circle, that makes it so you do not see that layer at all by clicking the eye and making the eye go away. If the eye is clicked it uses the opacity settings. so basically a visible invisible switch.

Whichever layer in the list that is highlighted, is the layer your currently editing. So blue means you chose layer 2, you have to click on layer 1 to edit it. Also if you dont have that little toolbox with the pic above, go to

Window>Show layers

If you have any questions or if i confused you with my fast typing thats all bundled together, let me know...
